I would give a zero if I could, I do not understand the 4.5 rating. My husband and I went there on a Tuesday evening a little before 7. Got a table for 2 outside, the outside was maybe half full and the indoors probably 3/4's full. We sat at our table for nearly 20 minutes before asking a busser if he could get us a server. Another 5 minutes later we get a server. We ordered a glass of wine each and an appetizer both came out in a timely matter. We did not see our waiter again for probably 30-40 minutes. When he finally came to our table he asked us if we were going to have dessert. Now there was quite a language barrier here, so I was confused, my husband was confused, and we just shook are heads, at which point the waiter chuckled and said ohhh you bellies to full from that food. We had to tell OUR waiter NO we were not full because we had not eaten our food, due to the fact we didn't receive any. So now he has no idea what we are talking about and finally says he's going to go see. He came back and said it was coming right out, it came approximately 10 minutes later. I got the spaghetti and meatballs, the meatballs were ICE cold inside. My husband ordered chicken parm which also was cold. Needless to say we asked for a manager, told her what happened and she said she would recook it. Now mind you it is almost 9 o'clock now, we told her we did not want it. She truly acted like she could care less what he had been thru, and basically said she would send the waiter with the bill. I have never been to a worse place, I would never go back it was an...
Read moreFirst, the pork chop is incredible. No, it's not the healthiest item on the menu, but it's worth the caloric splurge. It's a bone-in pork chop covered with cheese and prosciutto, then breaded. Crispy on the outside; moist and creamy on the inside. It comes on a bed of excellent fettuccini with a mushroom sauce that pairs perfectly with the pork chop.
The Margherita pizza was exactly the way we like it - seems too light and fresh to be pizza, but offers full flavor.
Seafood pesto pasta was another favorite at the table. Sometimes pesto can be too oily of the seafood doesn't meet expectations. People in Naples know good seafood, so they are using the good stuff, and the pesto is like homemade.
OK, so everyone loved their meal at Brunina's, and we actually went back for seconds within a week. 5 Stars again! Along with the items above, we loved the Gnocchi (homemade!), the Bolognese, the chicken parm, and several appetizers.
As a final note, one member of our party has diet restrictions: Gluten free, and no dairy. They were able to offer gluten free pasta alternatives, and the server knew the menu very well - knowing which sauces and entrees could be made without dairy by the kitchen.
So impressed. Can't...
Read moreI've come here for quite some time. I always enjoyed the menu and food. Tonight, however, it looked as if No One Knew what was going on. I made a reservation showed up and was seated. I looked over the menu, watched as people behind me were seated, brought water, and served a bread basket while I waited for my server. After waiting some time with no one acknowledging us, my wife flagged down one of the girls to ask who might wait on us; she said she'd find someone. We continued to wait, and after seeing everyone seated after us with drinks and food, we got up and left. Several people were standing around, and you would think they might take the initiative and, at a minimum, fill our water glasses. As we left the 4 young girls looked on at the front register not saying a word mouths open as we exited. I was so disappointed!!! If this continues into the season, you won't have to worry, you'll be out of business. Extremely sad the staff has no concept of what they were doing tonight. Customer service was nonexistent. Word of mouth alone can kill a...
