Bruster's Real Ice Cream — Restaurant in Florida

Went to this location at 8 pm 10/2/23 to find all the tables and chairs had been put away. Noticed there was an hour before closing so we pulled out a table and chairs so we could enjoy our ice cream. The employee informed us, with a disingenuous smile and passive aggressive tone, that the dining area was closed because high school students work there and have to be up early in the morning. Never mind that it wasn't even 8:30 yet and the store closes at 9 pm. The website does not state anything about the dining room or store closing early. I asked him how long it took him to put away the table and chairs ( 1 table and 4 chairs) He said "What?!" in a combative tone. I told him we would happily put back everything just the way we found it when we arrived. We were there maybe a total of 15-20 min. Plenty of time to put them back and still close and leave at a decent hour. Clear cut case of a terrible employee sacrificing customer service and experience for so little gain. My husband and I were in the area this Thursday and wanted ice cream after dinner. Decided to go here since it had good reviews - luckily, we arrived about 40 minutes before closing. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Interesting flavor choices (see pic) but definitely not 150 choices.

We asked about the birthday cakes, which looked good, and if we didn't live 2 hours away, we might've gotten one (maybe next time). Funny enough, this ice cream shop did not have ice.

Hello, please be advised my husband and his friend just got home from the Saint Augustine location on US 1 and the gift card we have has $32.68 left on it and the young man working tonight said it wasn't working and he even tried punching the numbers in and still didn't work. My husband's friend suggested to the young man that he should swipe the card a little slower to see if that works and he said it doesn't work like that only when swiped fast. Needless to say the gift card didn't work and my friend and my husband had to pay with cash. It works perfectly fine last month when we used it.
