This would have been a nice stay if all reviews were accurate. Maybe the cleaning service had a bad day. The room looked clean as we walked in, but when you really look, it's not. I gave them a chance by requesting for the room to be cleaned the next day as we checked in around 12 am. or later. Sleeping clothes on shouldn't be a thing for hotel stays. The bed wall was dirty, and the bathroom had what looked to be feces smudge near the light as there was no sink directly by the toilet. You have to exit the toilet area by door to reach a sink. The floor, after running a white towel on it, was clearly dirty, and there is rust and paint chipping in the restroom area. Once returning, the room appeared to be cleaned, and beds remade. The wall was washed off, but we were left with a hand towel that had a brown stain on it and a pillow with a blood stain. It was our last night, and the area is popular during the weekend, so we were stuck. This morning, I requested to speak with the manager, and he was walking outside. I approached him, and he stated he was busy. I went into the breakfast hall and ate as I waited. He returned before I sat down to eat and did not approach me, so I sat down to eat and kept looking over, waiting for a sign that he was ready to talk. That never happened. I received a phone call and had to run out, but before leaving, I looked over again, and he had no sign of interest. Once I was able to come in, I spoke with Bryan, the manager, and he said I was eating and he didn't want to disturb me. I do understand and respect that, but once I was done, he could have acknowledged he was able to speak. I explained what had happened from day one, and as I will state the room was slightly cleaned, we we're left with another issue. I requested a refund his reply was, "That's not gonna (shound be going to) happen.". It's not a polite way to reply, but everyone speaks differently. As I explained to him, his demeanor was not as I would say welcoming, and I didn't come to him in a disrespectful manor. He replied, "This place is not for you." . You're accurate, sir. Besides the breakfast and the nice young lady at the desk, the running of a hotel where full ashtrays of cigarettes are left outside in front of the rooms ac, bed with stained pillows, bathroom with possible feces on the wall, and then some is not. I myself need to learn to remove myself automatically instead of giving a trashy hotel a try due to good ratings. From the look of me, I may not seem like anyone of any importance, but never judge a book by its cover. I like to be comfortable. And no hotel should judge or make a person feel judged by their looks either. As the manager welcomed and greeted others, I was never even acknowledged by him. I would suggest saving your money and finding a place that has a bit more courtesy for others.

Wow is all I can say. Checked into our room and housekeeping had just "cleaned" our room. Walked into the room and the floor was COVERED with floor wax and I about slipped and fell. We went out and told the housekeeper that our floor was covered with wax and was very slippery-he told me to go down to the front desk. I let him know that he left out floor covered in wax and it needed to be fixed. He came in with a mop which did nothing. My husband asked for extra towels and used them in the floor to get the wax up. Let's talk about the couch and ottoman which was not even put back into position. The ottoman had spots of leather missing. Then let's talk about the AC. Clearly not cleaned from the photos..dirt, possibly a pubic hair and the paper from the adhesive of a period pad. Filter clearly has not been changed in forever. Let's talk about the black mold all over the shower. Called the front desk and asked for the manager. I was advised that the manager wouldn't be available until Monday. I asked for the manager to be contacted now and requested a call. First I was advised that they could not do that. I asked what would happen if we fell and injured ourselves on the floor. I was asked to hold on and then after a few minutes I was hung up on. I stripped the bed to make sure at least that would be clean and it was. Took pictures of everything in the room including the sink which was chipped and had stains on it. Rooms-ZERO. Service-ZERO. Definitely wasted money on this one-wont make that mistake again! HORRIBLE! Health Dept should shut this place down! We will not be staying the night and will BE SURE to get a refund. Told the girl at front desk we were checking out and showed her the picture of the black mold and she was non reactive. I asked her if she knew that black mold could kill a healthy person..what would it to me as I have Cancer. Again..non reactive and not sympathetic. We'll see if I get my refund. Would not provide any proof that we had checked out.

Stayed here in 2021 and it was WONDERFUL, so we booked again for our wedding/honeymoon this year and were absolutely devastated. I am one to never really write reviews or determine stays based on reviews but please listen to these reviews!!! Definitely an owner change and cleanliness seems to not be in their budget. We booked months in advance yet all 4 rooms booked were filthy. Mind you, our wedding was Halloween night so there was nowhere else available for our party size. Therefore we cleaned our own rooms. Let’s not forget all the leftover tape and sticky residue from previous parties and such that had never been taken off the walls. Now let’s move on to the showers that leak. 2/4 rooms had issues with the shower in which we told housekeeping and they said “that’s new” and never followed up. Now the pull out couch our toddler slept on. FILTHY sheets were covered in pizza sauce, thank god we always bring our own blankets. Again, notified housekeeping and all they did was bring us a new sheet with no sympathy. Our king bed sheets had NUMEROUS cigarette hole burns in them as well. I would have rated this hotel far above 5 stars 3 years ago, but please save your time and money.

This is a tricky one to review. I didn't enjoy it to call for service to get the TV and heater unit to work upon check in. Front desk Jamaican lady was very rude checking me in. No hi, no smiles. Asked for my card and ID. I gave my card and 3 seconds later in a nasty tone asked my ID and I told im looking for it! I have a massive amount of gift cards and credit cards. Give me a second!!! Why are you impatient and I already paid online! The door is extremely HEAVY and I have a rib muscle strain. I only needed to crash sleep due to exhaustion from a funeral etc. Wake-up next day and there was blood on the sheets on side I didn't use, and a bunch of hair in the shower. When I told the lady at checkout she didn't even care and said "okay, I'll tell them", while she was texting and another man checking out out looked at me appalled how she responded to me.

I get it the Jamaican are poor, come here for 10 months to make $$$$$$$ for family, but can't you at least treat us with respect???? The breakfast.... I have no complaints about besides the eggs. It was utterly disgusting and I had to spit it out. But overall the breakfast was good.

There's no outlet by bed to charge phone. The clock and phone doesn't work in the room. Yeah... There's mold and dirty junk in the shower...... And no shortage of hot water and I couldn't get any Luke warm water where I wouldn't burn my skin.

I enjoyed the TV stations, chairs outside and I like the room as it designed. But it failed it sooo many ways that if the staff cared about it ..m it would have been prevented.

I stay in hotels frequently in St Augustine. I've learned to not expect much in a 2 star place, but this was a mess.

I'm reluctant to book a room here again as I will need on a weekly basis 1-3 nights weekly for a few months. They were very quick to attend. But it's hard to get past the blood on sheets, filthy uncleaned shower and extremely rude front desk service beside the gentleman I assume may be...
