I placed an order through the Burger King app at the Tampa location on Hillsborough and Memorial for a breakfast biscuit with no cheese and hash browns. When I arrived at the drive-through, I clearly told the cashier three separate times to ensure there was no cheese on the biscuit. Despite this, my order included cheese, and I was given fries instead of hash browns.
When I brought this to the cashier’s attention through the drive-through window, she immediately started arguing with me instead of addressing the issue. I showed her on the app that I had selected no cheese, but she dismissed it and went to grab the ticket, showing me that the ticket didn’t mention anything about no cheese. I explained to her that this wasn’t my problem, as I had clearly put no cheese on the app and told her multiple times in person. Instead of resolving the issue, she argued with me for about five minutes, refusing to remake the order and insisting that it didn’t matter what I said because the ticket didn’t reflect it.
At one point, another employee came to the window, and instead of helping to fix the issue, he joined in the argument. He even claimed that I was yelling, but I explained I was frustrated because the cashier kept arguing with me instead of just remaking the order. It was clear she didn’t want to fix the mistake and was more focused on trying to prove me wrong.
After a long back-and-forth, she finally remade the order but brought me fries again instead of hash browns. To make things worse, they tried to make me park behind the window so it wouldn’t count against their service time, but I refused. I told them I wasn’t moving until they made my order correctly. Both employees continued to give me attitude, acting as though I was in the wrong, even though the mistakes were entirely on their end.
This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Burger King drive-through. The staff were unprofessional, argumentative, and unwilling to correct their mistakes without a fight. I order from Burger King almost daily and have never had this kind of issue at other locations. I’ll never return to the Hillsborough and Memorial location, and I’d recommend avoiding it if you expect even basic...
Read moreThis is officially the WORST Burger King In North America. The other reviews of people waiting several minutes to be served are all true – it took 10 minutes (again) for someone to even show up at the front counter this weekend when myself and three others were standing there (even though the place was completely empty). This happens week-after-week – I am officially done with this BK.
Then after all the waiting, the lady manager gives me an attitude for not telling her beforehand that I had a coupon (as if I am supposed to know how their terminals work). Of course, she didn’t ask me if I had one first. You know you're really a loser when you can't even handle serving people at a Burger King each week.
And don't make the mistake of asking for no-salt on your fries. They just took the new batch out of the fryer and, instead of putting them directly into the little paper holder, dumped them right back into the metal holding bin – which is loaded with salt. Then when you question them, she goes “Oh, yeah, there is no salt on your fries.” REALLY intelligent.
Every table was dirty, so I chose one next to the window that was the cleanest. It had only one ketchup smear on it instead of several. Fail number four.
Also, if for some reason you are forced to go here, be sure to avoid the red soda dispenser. It always smells like vomit (because the staff never cleans the area) and standing near it will make you want to throw-up yourself. The bathrooms are also gross, so just hold it in and use the CVS across the street.
Even if you have coupons and you are craving a whopper, DON’T GO HERE!! It is disgusting and ghetto on multiple-levels.

Read moreAt 10:34 AM, I ordered a number one meal—expecting a Whopper with a Diet Coke, as clearly displayed on your lunch menu. The cashier on my receipt, Henney, instructed me to proceed to window 1. However, when I arrived, no one was there. I drove to window 2, where I was abruptly scolded: “I said window 1.” I explained that window 1 was unattended, but the response showed no concern for the situation. Though I considered leaving, I chose to cooperate and returned to window 1.
Pressed for time, I didn’t check the contents of my bag before leaving—I trusted the meal matched the lunch menu. I didn’t realize anything was wrong until I got home. That’s when the real disappointment hit: instead of the lunch I ordered, I received a stale-looking sausage, egg, and cheese croissant, a large hashbrown, and a regular Coke. None of it was what I asked for. I was also charged for the large hashbrown and Coke, even though I was never asked if I wanted to upgrade. My $9.43 lunch ended up in the trash.
This location has repeatedly fallen short, and this experience was the last straw. I won’t be returning to this Burger King. If the menu displays lunch at 10:30, then serve lunch. It’s a simple expectation. I admit I didn’t look at the order screen because I was preoccupied—but when the signage is clear, the service...
