Checkers — Restaurant in Florida

Food is always good there, and customer service always great until today. went there today to pick up some swirl cones for the kids cuz they love them today they sold me when over the speaker they said "would you like to try the big Buford combo". After checking with the family, I ordered 2, as there was a big 2 for $11 big buford combo ad right by the speaker. They said thatll be $23 something. At the window I asked what happened with the 2 for $11. The girl taking the orders seemed a little weirded out by that, flustered. Then I hear this othwr women, a manager perhaps, ask rather rudely "why didnt you say something at the speaker. She asked a second time so I asked, "who me?" She said yes. I said ,because she asked me if I wanede to try the big buford combo and the 2 for 11 ad is right there. They seemed like it was a big deal to make the correction at the register. NEVER has any other restaurant act that way. i have even told restaurants when a mistake occured to not worry about it, yet they insist and make the correction. Don't understand why this day crew is giving attitude.

My one regret is not asking them "why do you bait and switch" before driving away...

Ordered a smokey BBQ bacon burger with no onions, 5 wings and 2 chicken bite boxes and blue fanta slushy. Orders comes this way to me they give me the drink then ask me to pull to parking spot because they have to cook the wings fresh, so I'm ok with this. I wait about tens mins or so someone comes out with the order. I quickly look through order and see im missing the BBQ bacon burger and tell her right away and remind her with no onions. She comes back with burger and I leave. I get home 5 min away, open burger and it has ONIONS and NO BACON. GRRRR and the wings had soo much sauce in the cardboard box that it spilled out every and bag was breaking. And chicken bite boxes where cold. Workers were nice but it seems more like hang out and not a job and they were not busy at all so can't blame being rushed. HATE ONIONS, COLD FOOD, MISSING ITEMS. the slushy was good. And I hate having to check every little detail before leaving a take out place but next time I'll sit in drive thru and even open my burger wrappers to check...

I did the drive-thru at this location about 10 days ago. I ordered four checker oburgers two small fries and an apple pie . I didn't trust the AI ordering so twice I asked the guy who was giving me the food at the drive-thru for if there are four Checker burgers in the bag. Twice I asked him and twice he said yes. So I get home and there's two checker burgers in the bag when I paid for four. Then I call their number and let them know right away when I got home that I was shorted. I gave them a receipt number and my phone number to call back. They did not call back. It's not so much the cost of the two Checker burgers that I paid for and did not get. It's the fact that I asked the guy twice are there four Checker burgers in the bag. And then I call and leave a polite message with a receipt number on my phone number and nobody calls back. So maybe corporate will get involved now or regional manager reads this because that's just poor.......Follow up. The owner resolved this and responded very quickly. I upped the stars...
