Unfortunately my family and I had bad, awful, uncomfortable and even unprofessional experience today at this Chili's location on Brandon Blvd (60). But before I get into that, the hostess and server we had were friendly and very kind to us. They were NOT the problem. Ok, here's the long story. We went into the Chili's on 60 for lunch today (October 13th) about 1:30 pm. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and sat quickly. Our server came over in a very prompt timely manner and took our drink order. After a minute or two, my 8 year old was telling me he was super cold. I definitely agreed and went to talk to the hostess about re-seating my family. She was more than happy to accommodate. I went to ask my family where they would like to sit. They said the booths in the bar. So the young lady was happy helped us move us and our menus to the booth in the bar. Our server got our drinks to us quickly and proceeded to take our order. She left the table to go put in the order. Within a few minutes of our server leaving, another employee shows up and immediately ask, "so what can I get you to drink". No "hello", just drinks. The bar area was pretty full at that moment. I advise this employee (bartender I think). That we have already taken care of by our server. To which she rolled her eyes and head back and just walked away. A few minutes after that, the hostess came over and was very apologetic and asked if we could move to another table. I asked "Why?". Because we moved into someone else's section. My reply "you're kidding". "We placed our order and we're comfortable" I continued. She apologized again and left. Our server showed up and apologized for them asking us to move. We didn't want to move and we really liked our server. It got to the point where we really felt awkward and uncomfortable. Everything was fine until the Bartender showed up. So as much as I hate to be "that person", I asked to see the manager. At this point the family just wanted to leave and so they did and waited for me in the car while I talked and expressed our disappointment to Sheri the manager. I recounted the experience up to that point and point out everything was fine until the Bartender came over. She explained what they do when Customer moves from one section to another. I then proceeded to tell her we expressed how we didn't want to move or change our server. She apologized and said no one told her that, but it was her that told the staff to ask us to move.
If the bartender was upset she lost a table in a full bar, which by the way another booth opened up within 10 minutes of us being sat in the bar booth. I mentioned to Sheri how the whole thing turned unpleasant, uncomfortable and unprofessional from the moment the Bartender got involved. We left and went to the Chili's in Valrico on Lithia Pinecrest. Where everything was GREAT! So to whoever reads this: Hostess was GREAT! Server was GREAT! Bartender rude/...
Read moreI’m not going lie my husband and I didn’t enjoy our service. So usually we get the 2 for 1 margaritas and we always share a round. So when we walked in it was pretty busy which is understandable for a Friday night. We were patient. The bartender finally gets to us. He asks us what we want . We ordered our margaritas. We also got the 4 wings with fries. I’m not going lie I didn’t enjoy the wings they were fatty and I didn’t enjoy that. I literally only ate two of them. So fast forward we were only able to order one round of frozen margaritas. I guess the machine was down so we felt as though the bartender should’ve maybe warned us ahead of time before we even got drinks. I say this because he told us when it got time for another round that the machine needed to freeze a little bit. We thought okay shouldn’t take too long so we was patient then I’ll say 15- 20 mins later the bartender gives us drinks but they weren’t frozen . So at this point we’re looking confused . This was wasn’t what we wanted & the fact that the bartender wasn’t transparent is what threw us off like at least warn us beforehand. This all could’ve been avoided. Some might say what the deal? We weren’t satisfied and the fact we we’re already waiting patient the entire time is what gets me. Give us the opportunity to choose another establishment who had frozen margaritas. I guess you get what you pay for . This was definitely our last time ever stepping foot in a Chili’s honestly . There’s been other times where other locations have had the same issue with the margarita machine but this experience topped it off. We’re good on you chili’s. If your into frozen margaritas just ask questions first so you won’t be disappointed how we were.
Never again…
No shade to the bartender but you should definitely communicate better so all parties are aware of...
Read moreHad an awful experience last night on 5/29/2020. It felt discriminatory from the time we walked in as we noticed everyone get seated rather quickly and when they got to my family, we were told the wait would be 25 minutes and to wait outside in the rain or sit in our cars. The seating manager said " If you guys could wait outside...I know it's raining." When we were seated, they attempted to sit us directly side by side with 2 booths on each side of us. I asked to be moved to a different seat further away from people and was taken to a dirty booth that had crumbs in the seat and food on the floor underneath the table. I was then offered another booth that had not been wiped. The seating manager sprayed and half wiped the table. I wiped down the missed spots myself and the manager said "I bet you have a clean house ".I could not believe in the middle of a pandemic that social distancing and cleanliness would be neglected by any restaurant. Finally we get seated and a waitress by the name Keisha came over to get our drink order. I told Keisha that someone had been seated 3 feet across from us and the lady there kept coughing and I wasn't comfortable with how close they were to us. Mind you, they had a sign on the door that asked if you had any Covid systems not to come in. Keisha stepped back and told me that I could leave if I wanted to. Why that response was appropriate in the middle of a pandemic is beyond me. The other lady behind us coughed approximately 10 times into the air and nothing was said to her. The shining light was the main manager Megan apologizing for the experience and comping our meals. We just wanted to celebrate the end of the school year and our daughter's finishing strong with straight A's and had a nasty experience with horrible service from the beginning. I will never go...
