Spending the day with my son and family, after picking up some items at the Red Barn; we decided to have lunch at Chili's Grill. We were there after the lunch hour, and we're promptly seated, yes we wore our masks! Reviewing the menu I chose Alex's Santa Fe Burger, topped with Jalapeno pepper, avakcodo, pickles, and pepper jack cheese. This is a large burger, with fries; a mouth full! For those that like spicy food, go for this one! Had it served with water with lemon. A very tasty burger, and the service was top notch; Jessie was our server, and frequently checked our supplies if salsa an chips. Really great service, friendly staff. Plenty of parking, and is located at Old Hwy 41, and 301 Blvd. My cost was under $ 10.00
5/01/2021 Another visit to Chili's Grill & Bar located at Hwy 301 Blvd and old Hwy 41. A friend and I decided to have lunch here today. We have visited Chili's a number of times in the past, having assorted types of meals, all were very good!. Today we decided to have a Santa Fe Burger, made with black beans, instead of meat(trying to eat healthy), and side of coleslaw. Just so you know; Chili's has done away with the old menus, and replace it with digital codes which you have to scan with your cell in order to place your order; don't know who came up with this method of ordering; but just saying, how about the people who do not, or don't know how this works. Not talking about the young people, but the older generation who are sometimes bewildered by using their phone just to make and receive calls! Not everyone is in that mode at this time. I asked for the old fashion printed menu, and the person said I don't think we have any left. He left to return with an old style menu, and said this is the only one we have. Ok, thank you, my response! We ordered our black bean burger, with side of coleslaw; normally comes with fries. The burger order was delivered, and appeared tastefully decorated. Upon slicing the burger, it seemed a little more difficult than usual. After the first 2 bites, we did notice it well done, and overcooked around outer edges. We thought, well the center should be ok, but texture throughout the bean patty was very much overcooked! When the server was available, I mentioned the burger was overcooked she did say; I'm sorry, and left. That was it. We waited for our tab of $12.19, which was delivered, attempted to pay with a CC on their digital machine, which did not happen. The server couldn't help, and said I'll take your card, and get it done. No I will pay cash thank you for trying! We paid, and left. In my experience with most restaurants, they will either make your order over, make it right, or not charge you for the meal. Perhaps with what's going on with the Covid thing, they were shorthanded, or Cheif was overwhelmed with orders; I don't know. Read moreThe two stars are for our server, she should have 5, I believe her name is Jade. I did not get her name, she was very knowledgeable of the menu and had great customer service. After waiting for about 30 minutes for an appetizer, (the triple dipper) our food was taken to another table but we were hungry so we accepted the food as is. We ordered chicken wings, honey chipotle chicken crispers and egg rolls. The crispers came out with out the honey chipotle sauce on them, so our server kindly said: “keep those, we’ll make you new ones” She was super sweet. I have no idea who told the manager we called her over because we absolutely did not, and she should probably not present herself at any table. Her look was messy and I’m assuming she’s a manager because of her shirt and the first thing she said was: “what’s the problem?” We did not have a problem! We went out for apps and dessert. I explained the issue to her and told her it was handled and everything was fine to where she proceeds to grab a napkin and tries to grab the chicken off the plate with her hands!!!!!!! That was so disgusting!!!!! I called and was told our server was Jade and the manager or lady in the green shirt was Carmen. Again our server was great, she was making everything right but this lady who has a terrible presentation needs training in food! Not only was my request not fulfilled, but I was also met with rude and unprofessional behavior from the Bartender/sever . She brought out my steak and salad at the same time, and when I refused the steak and asked for it to be brought back, she not only ignored my request but also told me take steak because she is not bringing another one out!!!! if I didn't want to except she would bring my check and she brought check
This level of customer service is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on your establishment. I expect better treatment as a paying customer !! Their is NO EXCEPTIONS I BELIEVE IN THIS TREATMENT LIKE I WAS GARBAGE AND MY BUSINESS MENT NOTHING
Brooke Smith and if you want to check my tab it was between 10 PM and 10:15 PM that I sat directly behind the hostess stand and a twoperson booth the restaurant was not busy at that time I am so upset that if that was my Restaurant I wouldn’t care if it would leave me short staff that is so unacceptable she should BE FIRED!!!!!
