Customer service is horrible. Unsanitary af. I used to order here 6-7 times a week. Same order. It always tastes pretty okay. Not as good as Fleming Island’s Hot Wok, but it was around the corner and convenient. A week or so ago, I found a hair in my wontons. I’ve never complained on my orders, even when something was left out or overcooked or undercooked. Because that’s the risk of paying to let someone else cook for you. But hair? That’s disgusting af. I refuse to pay for that, at all. So, I went back up there and they made a fresh batch. Which still kinda of made me wary, but I did check the bag before I ate them. Then, 2 nights ago, I was eating my rice and got near the end when I noticed a hair sticking up from the rice. I pulled at the hair and out comes this long, slithering hair. I was so disgusted. I almost threw up. It was a very, very long. My hair is short. 4-5 times shorter than this long strand I found. My hair is also curlier. I didn’t want to call or go back up there because I knew there was hair last week and didn’t want them to think I was trying to get over on them, even though I’ve spent a lot of money with them. The next day, I decided that I was gonna go back up there. I’m a loyal customer, why not? There was hair in my food that, with pulling it out from so far underneath, had to be there when it was served. The owner came out to the front making a huge scene, yelling loud in chinese and trying to hold the hair up. It was longer than my natural hair, which is also kind of curly, and it was longer and straight like theirs. Then he tried to hold it up to one of the worker’s heads (conveniently, one with thicker hair). I was thinking like, she isn’t even the cook. I didn’t say it was her hair. The cooks don’t wear hair nets and have thinner hair. I was so annoyed at this point. I didn’t want either meal. My girlfriend got disgusted and stopped eating hers and I wasn’t expecting her to. They didn’t want to refund it. I left and threw it in the trash. Worst customer service ever. Order elsewhere. Anywhere. Fleming Island is a little farther, but tastes wayyyy better and has wayyy better customer service. Never had hair in...
Read moreUpdate: Aug 2025 My favorite Food smelled not good today. Beef N broccolli. ( the first thought that came to me is it smelled like a bad beef stew, I though tasted okay, so I said. I ate it all. All of it in two portions. The next day Kung Food struck me and came out with a vengeance.
During my mid day visit, I went in their bathroom to wash my hands and the batbroom was very gross. Nasty, like my hands got sticky by just opening the door to get out, It made me feel bad for the workers and people that eat this food use that bathroom. That bathroom has not been cleaned in a very long time.
When you experience an episode Kung food vengeance when you use the bathroom the next day you start to draw conclusions as what caused the vengeance to your dietary tract. Only scientist and God will know the truth. That bathroom was not clean. I was appaled.
Ps. Went to another chinese place in Riverside I goto and their food did not have the same bad smell I experience during my visit to China Kung Food on 8/29/2025.

Read moreThe worst. I ordered chicken and Chinese vegetables with pork fried rice combo. It was chicken with carrots bok choy and snow peas in a white sauce. The sauce was so light it tasted watered down. And the carrots were so undercooked they may as well have been raw. The pork fried rice had no pork in it or anything else. Just a brown colored rice that tasted like old stale oil. Awful. My daughters chicken cashew was equally as bad. Hardly any cashews and only carrots and celery. A LOT of celery. White rice with it was ok but nobody orders for the white rice. The egg rolls were clearly old and had been sitting out awhile. I mean seriously not any of this meal was good and I’m not picky picky it was just that bad. The only pro was it was delivered very fast. Never again and I don’t suggest you gamble on it either....
