I haven’t eaten here in months and recently decided to give it another try — but unfortunately, I won’t be coming back. The young woman working the front is incredibly loud and dismissive. While it’s clear she’s trying to manage a lot at once, her communication style comes off as rude and unprofessional, making it really unpleasant just to place or pick up an order.
I called to follow up on an order, and instead of helping, she refused to let me speak with the manager or even the person who originally took my order. I was told my food (buffalo wings) would be ready in 15 minutes, yet every time I go, regardless of when I show up, it’s never ready. If the wings are made-to-order, I would’ve totally understood — but no one explained that.
To be fair, she wasn’t the reason for the initial delay, but her attitude made an already frustrating situation feel ten times worse.
Update: The manager/owner did call me shortly after I left my review, which I appreciated. She was calm and listened to my concerns. However, I didn’t appreciate being told the 15-minute estimate could stretch to 35 minutes or longer — especially without any explanation at the time of ordering. A simple heads-up like “We make wings fresh, so they take longer” would’ve made all the difference.
The manager mentioned that the employee speaks loudly because she has trouble hearing. While I sympathize, I don’t think that justifies the way she interacts with customers. In hindsight, even a quick “Can I have someone call you back?” would’ve been better than outright refusal.
At this point, I’ve given the place enough chances. I wish them the best, but I’ll be taking my...

If a place is so busy that they make a mistake, that's a sign that they must be fairly decent to be that busy, right?
You see it's basically a family run deal, and that the entire family works...even the juveniles. That's culture, not indentured servitude or slavery. Sheesh.
I'll get off the soap box and simply say, expect what you expect. This is an old school Chinese style eatery, primary for take out, or as they say in the UK, a right good takeaway.
I had the Singapore Mei Fun. It was a darn good spicy curry noodle combination that I really like, and they did it well.
She had the Moo Goo Gai Pan and it was very tasty.
Portions are good size. Prices are fair. Service was prompt and friendly.
We had zero complaints.
As we sat there eating at one of the few tables (remember, their focus is take out, obviously), there were a number of people who came in that are what you have to call "regulars".
Recognition by the staff is clue one. Customers ordering like they've been there a hundred times, is clue two.
And the steady stream of traffic for first thing on a Sunday morning...definitely clue three that this is a place worth of the higher rating.
Nice job!
Back again for some Lo Mein and some chicken with...
Read moreRestaurant wasn't the cleanest. Food signs were so faded you could barely see the food. Place looked outdated and smelled of oil Fan art on the walls was really cool! All this normally means a m a z i n g Chinese food!!
Sadly not this place.
Food seemed like it was made a week ago and re heated. I know the key to great chinese is to use day old rice etc but my order tasted way older.
Chicken in the fried rice for example was very dry, those cracker things for your noodle dishes tasted stale.
Egg rolls were mostly wrapper and very hard. Wontons were also hard and undercooked and the "meat" looked like chicken liver -No pork I've ever seen. Broth in the won ton soup was very dark, it looked like tea. Wasn't the lighter colored vegetable broth I'm used to. But this broth wasn't great either.
White rice was mushy, like sushi rice.
Everything seemed like it was masked with five spice, garlic and hot spices. Nothing had it's own flavor. Dishes didn't have a lot of veggies either. Very disappointed.
Conclusion? The only thing "New York style" about this place to me were the containers.
I love finding exploring food joints. maybe you love this place, and I am glad for you if you do, but this place wasn't my bag.
Oh and NO FORTUNE...
