Well, here we are three years later and this place still sucks. It’s dinner time and they have one person filling orders one person running the cash register and two people filling to go orders. I stood in line for 15 minutes and didn’t move before I walked out of the restaurant.
If you order here to go because you don’t wanna wait in line, they skimp on your food and you don’t get the portion you pay for.
Do yourself a favor and if you like chipotle like I do find a different place to spend your money because this place never gets any better. Thank you.
Worst chipotle ever.
Let me start by saying I know there are staff shortages and sometimes employees don’t come to work. However, what happened today at this restaurant was poor management NOT to be blamed on Staff shortages. I entered the store at 1246PM and was immediately in the back of the line at the door. I would estimate there were 15 people in front of me in line. Almost immediately another customer entered the store behind me, saw the line and then went to sit on a bench. I watched him pull up the app and create a mobile order for 01:00PM. I continued to patiently wait as the employees were hustling. I watched as mobile order after mobile order was filled and left the store while the regular line hardly moved. At 01:17 I watched the man who sat down behind me and placed the mobile order collect his lunch and leave. I still had 2 ahead of me in line. I then watched as the manager came over and grabbed another mobile order slip from the wall. I interjected and that I was going to lose my patience if he filled another mobile order without helping us (now 32 minutes in line). He argued that the mobiles were behind as well and that if I wanted to come behind the counter and help I could as he only had 4 people. (Side note: I am a public servant; I was on duty at the time and wearing my service uniform. I only get 40 minutes for my lunch break) I advised him what I had observed about the mobile order and he replied that what I thought I saw was impossible. I again asked him to please serve us and advised this would be my final order from that store. He responded that he didn’t need my money and that I should leave the store. Being on duty I had limited options to respond in a professional manor, so I left the store without my lunch. I have probably patronized this location no less than 100 times in the last few years. This is the worst treatment I have ever received and will never return. The fact I was in uniform only made the situation worse. The food quality and customer service at Chipotle has progressively been on the decline for the last year. If this is the type of manager Chipotle is employing, they need to seriously consider their corporate policy. Bottom Line: If you don’t have the staff to operate both a mobile order service and walk ins, close the mobile ordering, and help the people standing in front of you. Other companies do this frequently. (Starbucks)

Read moreDon’t really do this kind of thing but the kids working here are legitimate toddlers. I go in here with my wife. Ask for honey chicken. He says “uhhh we’re out” I say “ok steak” “uhhhh we’re out”
I then ask how long it’s going to be? Otherwise I’m cool with regular chicken.
He tells me 3 minutes. My girl gets her food. I just sit and wait. Not a big deal at all. I walk up there 5 minutes later. He says sarcastically “Has it been 3 minutes already on the dot? It isn’t done yet.” I said “Okay? Sorry for coming up? You told me 3 minutes. 5 minutes ago, did I mishear you?”
Couldn’t believe the kids attitude about it. He’s the one that told me 3 minutes I was so confused?!
I then ask okay. How long then till I should come back bc I’ll just get chicken if it’s going to be a long time. He said. “Come back up in 5 minutes it’ll be done then” whatever. I’ll wait.
I let 10 minutes go by.. I’m not breathing down their necks nothing. As I said before regular chicken was fine. Go up there.
The kid literally screams
“Bro you’re back again?! It’s not ready!! It’ll be at least 20 minutes! Actually, I don’t even know when it’ll be.”
I about reached over the counter and put his head in the tortilla press. Talking to me like one of his little punk friends when I’m quite literally doing exactly what he’s telling me to do? Had I known it was going to be 30 minutes like it was I would’ve just gotten chicken to begin with. I wasn’t being annoying or weird about it at all.
Anyways. We left. Seems like they just hire anybody with a pulse here at this location. Kid looked like someone who’d steal your wallet and help you look for it. Go to a different location. This one is in a convenient location in the heart of Sarasota and that’s about the beginning middle and end of the good. Looks like other people are having the same issues with these dorks too service wise so figured I’d put my experience in...
Read moreI want to start by saying that I LOVE Chipotle. However, after today I will NEVER go to this location again until Raphael is longer employed there. I ordered my food through the app which is super handy because it remembers my order and saves me the time of waiting in line. I'm very busy with work and clients so time is very precious to me. I left the office, drove to the store, picked up my bag and came back to my office so I could continue working while eating. I pulled the cover off of my bowl only to find that there was not only less steak than I had ordered.... but actually NO steak whatsoever. Additionally this was probably the saddest looking bowl I've ever received from any Chipotle. I immediately called the store and spoke to Raphael who was apparently the manger on duty. I told him the situation and he told me he could either remake the order or give me a refund to which I replied that I wanted a new bowl and a refund as this was now wasting my time. He told me he couldn't do that. I corrected him and told him that he could.... but that he was deciding to not... after some back and forth I told him that I'd take the refund as I didn't want to waste additional time to drive back to the store. He told me the only way he could give me a refund was in person.... again.... wasting my time.... which would also result in me not having any food..... Having no choice I drove back to the store hoping that Raphael would do the right thing but no. I got my refund and I left. Apparently the $3 in food cost that it would have taken to make me a happy customer wasn't worth it. I understand that in the grand scheme of things this is barely a blip on the radar.... but how hard is it to put steak in a bowl..... and how hard is it to do the right thing to take...
