I really want to like this place. The food and beverages that I have are great When you finally get them. As you can see below, I placed a review a couple years ago. The wait is hard to stomach. Today, I thought surely it has to have improved. Surely they improved the process. Sadly not. I waited in line for 20 minutes before my order of one beverage was taken. And then another 15 minutes to receive it. For a coffee? Possibly a suggestion would be to have a separate beverage line. I don’t know how many people are like myself that just want a Coffee. Unfortunately, it’ll probably be another few years until I try it again. In this day and age when people have things to do, most of us don’t have time to stand around and wait 30 minutes for a coffee when there are much quicker suitable options.
This place is great. The food choices are fantastic, and the coffee is the best I’ve had in such a long time. But, if you have somewhere to be on a Saturday morning and want to pick up a coffee before you start your day. This not your place. Twice this has happened now, I have waited 30mins for one single coffee. I know I could order ahead, but not convinced it would be ready when I get there anyways. The first Saturday, I thought maybe they were just understaffed and gave them grace. But evidently it must not be. Otherwise good, I just now choose to stay away on Saturdays, and sundays because I assume...
Read moreI saw a news segment about Chocolattes and couldn’t wait to try it out. We moved to Ft Myers a year ago and they just don’t have any great little breakfast/coffee places. The menu looks fantastic! And to be honest, I got overwhelmed at what I would want. I settled on a ham and egg crepe and my wife got the strawberry and crème crepe. We also got a fruit bowl to split. To drink we decided to go with cold drinks since the temperature outside was over 90 degrees and we each got a strawbetter smoothie. When the young lady rang up my total, she looked at me and smiled and said, “that will be $61.74”. I had to ask her twice to repeat herself. I added a 15% tip which brought my total to $71 even. The wait for the food was short. They brought everything within 10 minutes. That was more than enough time to go to the “backyard” as they call it and find a seat. The food was ok. The crepe was average at best. It was hard to tell if it was a prepackaged or made fresh. The fruit was also just ok. And the smoothies again, just ok. If the cost had been $30 - $35 I would have given this a better review. But $70 for an average breakfast just means I won’t come back. There is no need for a $13 crepe in my life. If they had a smaller space with less monthly rent, they could have probably priced it better. Also, with 5 young ladies behind the counter, the service...
Read moreMy fiancé and I vacationed in the area and found Chocolattés through a Google search. We ordered online and picked up the order. When we got back to our rental, we noticed an item was missing so we called for a refund. They offered to make the food, but we declined as we were already at our rental. They were apologetic and refunded us as well as gave us a credit to use at Chocolattés. The breakfast sandwich, bacon, and coffees were delicious so we decided to go again the next morning. When we got back to our rental the next morning, we got all of our order for that day as well as the missing item from the day before and a muffin. We were so surprised. We were given a refund and a credit to Chocolattés so we certainly didn't expect anything else. We went back every morning for the rest of our vacation! It's greatly appreciated that they seriously went above and beyond. If you're looking for quality food and coffee, consistency, and to support a business who treats customers the way they'd like to be treated themselves, then be sure to check them out. If we lived in the area, Chocolattés would be our go-to spot :-) ...
