If any one of these issues had happened independently of each other, honestly, a couple of them simultaneously wouldn't have bothered me enough to complain. However, the fact that all my problems happened in one visit initially had me absolutely livid, so I waited until I was calmed down to do anything. I had to drive about an hour and a half away to get here, not a complaint, but makes the situation that much worse. As a single dad, I don't get a lot of time to take my kids out, especially this far, for what should've been a good time. I took my one day off to come here.
First, it was filthy. There was food all over the seat and table. I had to clean it off myself. Next, even though there were no other orders, we had to wait 20 minutes on food that wasn't fresh. The pizza was, but the churros were stale and the wings were sub-par to where my lactose intolerant girlfriend chose to eat pizza instead. The staff has a friendliness in their voice, but a look like "why are you talking to me?" And look at you with some nasty side eye. Was it because my piercings and tattoos, or is the staff really just that unqualified to work with the public. As someone who worked in food service for a decade, and who currently works in customer relations, I found their demeanor absolutely unprofessional. Further compounded by the fact that they're working in an environment that's child oriented, I really hope they don't act this way towards children. Then, without any warning, they shut off all the games 20 minutes before close. I understand no one wants to get stuck at work, but back to my kitchen experience, you don't turn the equipment off until everyone's out of the area without at least a last call or 5 minutes warning. Absolutely unprofessional. Finally, I think this was my last straw. They so poorly appreciate their place of employment, they've allowed it to become a nest for gnats. When I went to grab our boxes of food, there were bugs all over my cups and boxes. Money is tight these days, and I know $100 isn't the most money anyone's ever spent, but it's more than I appreciate spending in times as tight as they are now to have such a poor experience in a place I've always wanted to go. It's shameful and honestly,...
Read moreWe attended a birthday party for one of my daughter's friends here. They had multiple parties booked for the same timeframe, which I noticed caused confusion at times, like which tables were for which party, kids returning to the wrong party after playing games, etc. Small things, but still. Also, there was no spacing between the different party tables so at times it was almost shoulder-to-shoulder when sitting down for pizza/cake. Should limit the number of parties in a given timeframe to ensure there's a table between them (if people are determined to have their party there they'll take another time slot/day). Banners/signs with birthday kid's name over that section would help, also. Many games were out of order but had nothing on them stating that. Over half the employees out on the floor couldn't have looked more unhappy to be there, no smiles or friendly expressions, even towards the kids. Looked to be in their early-mid 20s so I'm sure they'd rather be elsewhere on a Saturday, but that's work. At least make an effort to look more approachable to kids at your job. Somehow the cake for my friend's daughter was messed up while it sat in the kitchen, yet no one seemed to know how & my friend wasn't told about it, she found out when she opened the box to add the candles. She got another unwanted surprise when she was told her bill was $200 higher than it should've been; they charged her for 2 or 3 add'l adults to eat/have drink cups, but again she wasn't told there would be any extra charge until they had already billed her. And the few extra people didn't even need another pizza, there was plenty, & they didn't use any drink cups. So why the extra charge & why on Earth is it $200 more? While my daughter seemed to have fun, I'll be looking elsewhere...
Read moreThis was a really nice Chuck E. Cheese. We took our child here for their cousin's birthday. They stamp you and your child with invisible ink that can only be seen with a blue light. Upon exit they scan for the stamp to make sure that the child that you are leaving with is the one you came with. I'm sure if you wanted your kid to go home with someone else you would need to release/approve them to go. We got unlimited play cards and still were able to get tickets which can be rare. Everything was done in a timely manner and we didn't feel rushed. All the kids got to play a variety of games. Only 2 were out of order. Chuck E. Came out and greeted all the birthday kids and took pictures with anyone who asked (even adults). Which was really nice. He made sure to visit each birthday section and spend an even amount of time. For birthday guests they let them go into the ticket tornado either alone or with someone else. That person can be an adult if desired. The pizza was really good. Kind of thin for the kids. But as an adult I enjoyed it too. It's not gourmet but it's not a cheaply made pizza. We also have buffalo wings and lemon pepper wings. The buffalo sauce was tangy and generally sauced the wings. The lemon pepper were dry rub wings and both tasted tender and delicious. They brought out a pretty nice birthday cake that had cream cheese icing. It was a white cake. The cake was moist and the icing wasn't to thick. They gave the children birthday hats and cups with curly straws. If you want water/drinks you have to buy it from Chuck E. Cheese or you can do what we did and bring a case of water. All and all I had a lot of fun. My kid had a lot of fun and I would gladly...
