I had a terrible experience with Michaels custom framing. I will never go there again, the manager was rude, condescending, and not helpful and their staff was not properly trained in framing. I brought a painting from Paris France to be framed here. The person who helped me pick out my frame was nice but not knowledgeable. This person insisted i put glass on my oil painting (oil painting are not to be framed with glass). I declined. I received a call the following day from the manager asking if i was sure i didn't want my painting framed with glass, saying that my painting would be ruined and the matting ruined as well. I told him i was positively sure. My painting was supposed to be ready for pick up July 23, 2015. I received a phone call from Michaels custom framing on July 22, 2015 the day before pick up. This time it was a different person, this person was helpful and told me that it I was right to have declined glass on my piece of art, and that the person who originally helped me was new and didn't know what she was doing. The person informed me that they framed my painting wrong and that stretcher bars were necessary and that she was sorry for the mix up. This person informed me that the size of my frame was ordered too big and that she had to order the stretcher bars. She informed me my painting wouldn't be ready for another week. A week later i get a call that my painting is ready for pickup. I go to pick up my painting and my painting was framed with GLASS. I was very perturbed and told the manager that i specifically asked for my painting to be framed correctly as an oil painting should, WITHOUT GLASS. The manager was rude and condescending and told me it was an old wives tale and that i didn't know what i was talking about. I advised the manager to reframe my painting and that i would never be coming to this michaels again. i informed him that i was frustrated from all the mixed messages and different information i received from himself and from three other staff members.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible experience here on multiple occasions. This last one just made me stop going to this location over all. I will be giving all my weekly business to hobby lobby in my town instead. They had a organizer in the entrance way. My husband and I looked for a price for it. The only price that could be associated with it was for about $30. We go to bring it to the register and the boy who was ringing us said it came up $119! He went and looked and also said there is not a single tag saying what the price was and that it should be $30 since thatās the only tag that has anything to do with it. He asked for the manager KATHLEEN who was a register away and kept ignoring him when he asked for help. Way to make your employee and customers feel less than. Once she had no other option but to help because a different manager asked her to KATHLEEN went out to the Entrance way with my husband to see the prices that was not there. And than had the nerve to tell him that it doesnāt matter if he canāt read! To match the stickers. (Meanwhile there wasnāt a sticker for the exact item!!!) & than said there is no way she is honoring the price. Iām not sure what Iām more appalled by if itās that they can run a business this way or their āmanagersā attitude to her customers. I will NEVER go here again. Totally lost our...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCurly-haired associate at register on 4/13 afternoon needs add'l training on customer service and/or attitude adjustment. My sister was trying to use their website coupon from her phone to which she didn't hear the associate respond that the scanner wouldn't take the barcode bc her phone was on "night setting" (never had issues at other locations before). My sister was clueless (didn't hear) and was waiting to pay. Me standing behind seeing the associate not acknowledging that my sister maybe didn't hear her asked the associate if she got what she needed to which repeated the same thing to me. So I had to step-in and play "mediator" bc the associate already seemed to have an attitude like my sister (visibly wearing a hearing aid) had intentionally ignored her. I explain to my sister to which she turned on the screen to the brightest setting and associate says it's still in night setting (black background on Michael's website) - my sister isn't aware of night setting and how to adjust nor would I without spending significant time to figure that out so I say - can't you just type in the code? Associate visibly annoyed says "YEAH, I guess" all exasperated. OK?? I'm sorry, is that not what the code is exactly for as an alternative to scanning? I really had to suggest that for you to...
