Pisco Express — Restaurant in Wesley Chapel

Today we decided to give this place a try, since I have been craving Peruvian food and I was out with my family. The place was super crowded but we decided to stay and eat. Our waiter was super friendly and took care of us as much as he was able since the place was super busy inside and out. We had two tables going since my family was a total of 7 and we didn’t all fit in one table. Well my three kids and my mother got up since they had to use the bathroom and my kids left their food behind not expecting that one of the workers was going to touch the food and throw it out, mind you there was two other waiters females that tried to touch the food, and I had addressed the situation that my kids got up to use the bathroom. This other table got up and the guy, I don’t know if he’s the manager or if he’s the owner he asked them if they were done. He took their food and mix it with my tables food and my kids plates were full rice, french fries and half a steak. He didn’t bother to look my way so when he got to my table trying to kick us out to serve other guest I spoke up and told him to handle me my kids drinks because those tables were together. He went and got my waiter to get my check and me and my partner hold ourselves back so we didn’t come off disrespectful but our waiter asked me what was wrong and I explained what happened. We paid and pack my food and walked out since we were very furious! My mother stayed behind and addressed the situation with the guy that took my kids food away! He has no people skills, no manners whatsoever! He stated that what did he want us to do! We will never return to this restaurant! I have been to serval Peruvian restaurants and not once have we been rushed to eat, pay and get us out the way he did to us! I wouldn’t even put a one star review the ceviche mixto had no taste at all! Hopefully nobody ever has to experience this! We tried Pisco Express for the first time recently via one of the delivery apps. Their delivery fee is was VERY reasonable, it's like they actually want customers, imagine that? There are places ten times closer that charge five times as much that will never see a dime of our $.

Now... the food. It was still nice and hot when it got here, packaged in good quality Togo containers too for the larger items which is always nice and in a large stapled paper bag to help retain the heat. We were blown away by how amazingly good EVERYTHING we ordered was, everything! It was food for two people so we got two appetizers and one entree to split, it was easily enough to feed three people

We tried: ~ the Causa De Pollo. Two mashed potatoe cakes sandwiching a chicken salad topped with a yellow pepper sauce. Will for sure be having again

~ Picada. A literal mountain of meat; skirt steak, grilled chicken, fried pork skin (chicharon style), 2 kinds of sausage, plantains, small gold baby potatoes, and all served over french fries with tomato and lime wedges on the side. The description of this appetizer says it comes with breaded chicken wings though, not grilled chicken; it also says it comes with corn cakes too which ours did not have. Regardless it was a MASSIVE amount of meat/food and very much worth the $26 price. This "appetizer" alone FILLED two full sized dinner plates when we devided it in two.

~ Chaufa: Chinese-Peruvian style fried rice with the "special" protein option. It was SO SO SO GOOD! Full of meat and packed full of flavor. I'll be ordering it again just to have those wonderfully flavorful shrimp again. This too was a huge portion, well worth the price. It filled a pretty large Togo container.

All in all we were very pleasantly surprised at how good everything was as well as the portion sizes. Considering the amount of food you get the prices are right on point. We both concur Pisco Express warrants a visit in person very soon so we can try more of their fair and we are very much looking...

‼️ Maria the girl at the front has put her own tips in on my credit card without my permission. ‼️ please watch your card after ordering here. I have eaten here multiple times (I live across the street) July 16th I called in 20 minutes before they closed. Maria tried to get my card number over the phone, which is NOT their typical practice. I told her I would be at the restaurant in 5 minutes and that I would pay there because she has stolen tips numerous times. She hung up on me, then called back on accident and hung up again. I called back and she just kept asking for the card number. I showed up (of course the order was in, since they don't actually need your card number).

Today July 18th, I'm now receiving calls from Maria at the restaurant harassing me. I didn't push my bank to press fraudulent charges after the tips have been stolen but now I will have to since she has started harassing me. Pictures below of the...
