Our friends invited us to have dinner at Cody‘s steakhouse and I am very glad they did. We were lucky enough to get a server by the name of Ken. I would have to say he was by far, out of every restaurant I have ever been to, the best waiter we have ever had! From the very beginning, he welcomed us with a smile, a great attitude, and a funny joke. He has A wonderful personality he continued to make us laugh and feel like we were part of the family. Our drinks were never empty. He came by and checked on us very often and the jokes continued to keep coming, and of course, we joked back with him. He was extremely funny and when we go back to Cody‘s, we will request him as our server. He went over the list of specials and told us since we arrived during early bird Special that was the same amount of food, as was the regular portions, but it was cheaper. He was very helpful, very knowledgeable, and treated us like he knew us forever. As you can tell, I’m talking more about our server, Ken, than I am the restaurant. The reason for that is like I said, he was the absolute best waiter we have ever had, and we dine out a lot. Now onto the restaurant. Everything was extremely clean. The service was fast the amount of food we were given was very good for the price that we paid. The French onion soup was probably the best that I’ve had in a long long time. The raspberry iced tea was excellent and didn’t taste like anything artificial had been mixed with it. Our food was brought to us rapidly and looked like an artist had created each dish with skillful hands. There was plenty of parking, handicap accessible, a wide variety of dishes that you could select from. The bathrooms were very clean, handicap accessible as well. We are very, very happy that we chose to come to Cody‘s and I hope the pictures I submit do it justice. And I even got a picture of Ken. The best waiter of the year award goes to him. Unfortunately, I don’t see a place to post my pictures so they will be...
Read moreServers beware… on 10/23 we had dinner here and we had the sweetest server Sylvia.. she was super nice and efficient. I usually order the salmon and always ask that it be prepared well done, as on some occasions it’s barely cooked. So I was sure to ask. When it arrived it was barely cooked. More like sushi with a blackened crust. No big deal, I called over Sylvia and she quickly apologized and said she’d asked for well done and she assured me she’d have it prepared as I’d asked. When the manager Lori returned to my table with the well cooked salmon she stated that Salmon dishes almost always come prepared on the rare side but if sylvia had written down well done it would have been prepared that way… being a seasoned server myself I had the feeling the manager was fibbing. Sure enough when I got my bill it clearly states that Sylvia DID ask for “well done.” Shame on you Lori, that was totally not cool. I NEVER demanded anything or even got remotely upset so there was no reason to throw your server under the buss to save the restaurant a few pennies because you assumed I “might “ be seeking a refund of sorts. Instead, you surely could have cost your server a decent tip, the one who I’m sure primarily relies on tips! Servers work hard to make you look good, so when you ( management ) Lori, carelessness try to make them look stupid and lose money they worked hard for, I’ll let the entire google world know it. So, to anyone whoever’s eaten in a restaurant, usually,,, the server WAS right and management throws them under the bus routinely to save their dime… so tip them well, they’re not just dealing with some unruly guest, they’re dealing with unscrupulous management. ( And, sit in Sylvia’s section,...
Read moreSo this was our first visit here! We were quickly seated in back of the restaurant. As we were getting settled in Robin, our server, came up to us to to greet us and take our drink orders. We were sitting next to this husband and wife that were completely obnoxious. They were complaining about everything! His potato wasn't A sweet potato like he said he ordered. They quickly took care of it and brought him a sweet potato and he said it wasn't sweet potato enough. There was no crease salad which they apparently ran out of (it happens) They complained about how hot it was in their seated area. It was a little warm but nothing unbearable!!! They were making a scene and it was very obnoxious. They were disturbing a table full of about 10 diners and ourselves, which was a table of three. We asked for a different table. She said the was a party that was getting up and she would move us there. Two managers came out… Amanda and Lori. And Robyn their server was trying to do everything to make them happy. It was impossible. They clearly were on a mission to get free food. They said they were going to complain, but they should not be entitled to anything. Actually, they should be asked not to come back to the restaurant ever it was that bad. To top it all off Robyn told us that they only left her a penny as a tip. She did nothing wrong and should not have been penalized. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic!!!!! We will...
