If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. Whenever my family and I visit from out of town we make sure to patronize a different conch restaurant. Last night we decided to try Conch “Heaven”, and our experience couldn’t be more of the opposite. After being seated, we had to wait 15-20 minutes before our server appeared. My husband ordered a fried conch dinner with three sides. I ordered a jerk chicken dinner with rice, and our children had fish dinners. After our server brought out our food, we began to eat. I bit into my rice and it was COLD and hard as ice, as if it came straight out of the refrigerator. I bit into my husband’s rice-his was warm, so I was confused. Did the cook put warm chicken on top of cold rice? I had everyone at my table taste the rice, just to make sure I wasn’t wrong, and I wasn’t. As I waited for the server to return, my husband gave me half of his conch and his sides; rice, macaroni and cheese, and potato salad. Two minutes later, the server returns. I let her know that I’d like to have my warmed up because it was cold. She takes my whole plate and goes back to the kitchen. She then tells me that there were no more peas n rice, so I said that’s ok, I’ll do macaroni and cheese instead. When she returned I had a brand new plate of jerk chicken and macaroni and cheese. Now, any reasonable adult with an ounce of common sense would have either warmed up the plate, or just replace the rice with another side. When my plate was thrown away I we lost half of our three sides that were good! The woman cook in the back was yelling and complaining about me letting the server know that I didn’t want my plate thrown away. This dinning experience completely ruined our evening and I’m very disappointed because the food was good, but the customer service was HORRIBLE. To add insult to injury, the server is walking around boasting how much she couldn’t wait to get off of work and go home. This was completely unprofessional and it made us feel uncomfortable and as if we were being rushed. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone because of the lack of empathy and care they had for...
Read moreWell I must say this will be my last and final time walking in the doors of Conch Heaven. The management sucks. You are ok with giving your customers a bowl full of bones. I didn't ask for a new bowl I only asked for what I paid for which was Souse not bones. The quality of service that is received there is horrible, and the food received is the luck of the draw. I guess it depends on what side of the bed the cooks wake up on and they don't believe in giving you your money's worth. It's sad that they can't keep workers because they can't tolerate how the management treats their customers this is not an assumptionthis is word of mouth form an employee who just started but privided them their resignation. I am not sure how this establishment remains open but just know without customers you have no business. The locals have supported your establishment for years. I myself have been a customer since 2010 and have spent lots of money there my request was not an unreasonable one per the waitress. Then to hear the same unhappy comments from the table in front of me. I really see why it's always empty because you test the establishment and after the second try no return. Sad! the owner and management should be ashamed that you are conducting business like this in our community. But let's see how long you remain open with treating your customers this way. As a business owner you should sit back and analyze the downfall this place has taken and revamp. IJS another unsatisfied...
Read moreI went here because the place I originally wanted to get conch from was closed. I remembered Conch Heaven because I once had them years ago at a carnival where they had a pop up booth. When I first had it, i enjoyed my conch and fries. Fast forward to my most recent experience, and I must say I was HIGHLY disappointed. For starters, the parking lot was flooded the day I went (omen). I had to hop along cement blocks to avoid the pool of water. Once inside, the one woman working behind the counter was responsible for taking orders inside the restaurant, over the phone, she handled payment, and bagged the food. It took her 15 minutes just to take my order, I assume it's because she appeared overwhelmed. After my order was finally placed I then waited another 20 minutes just to pay and receive the wrong order. After waiting another 20 minutes for the correct order, I immediately opened the container and began to sample my food. The conch was rubbery. The batter was soggy and oily. The fries were cold a mushy. I barely could stand to eat it knowing what good fresh, tender, crispy conch and fries tastes like. In addition to all of that, the cashier was unapologetic about giving me the wrong order, and about me having to wait nearly an hour for something that should have taken only 20 minutes. I won't be returning to conch heaven! I would have attached a picture but that food went straight...
