Interesting find calling in my order over hear background get their number because you know they don’t be paying or whatever slick comments I assumed her I was hungry and wanted my order Polite young lady on the phone disappointing food The canned spoiled sour tasting mushrooms on the sandwich had to be taken off for me to eat The old soggy tomatoes on top of fresh lettuce made matters worse I liked the potato salad made nice spice combo I’d give the potato salad a 4 out of 10 other than that I was not impressed, the quality of the food which was over all poor from using old soggy sour mushroom on my sandwich and old soggy cucumber and tomatoes.

Great first experience! We had the meatball sub, Italian, falafel wrap, and a Philly Cheese Steak. Best one I have had in a long time. The ladies at the counter were friendly and helpful and a local guy came in and gave us some tips on parks and beaches. He comes about once a week for the "Ellie" Cheese Steak. We took our sandwiches to the Nokomis beach playground and ate at a picnic table. The food was great!

Was recommended to me, so I had to try. I went with the large Italian comes with many herbs and oil if you choose...which I did. The sub comes with a bag of chips. The sub was very tasty with many flavors with each bight. It was busy with many regulars, I was treated well and waited on quickly. I highly recommend. I could only eat half. I had the second half for dinner. Fabulous

I put a 3 star review because they do have my favorite philly cheese steak in all of Venice but $12.83 for a 10 inch sub and a rude old lady to greet you at the front desk is not worth it to me!

I have been a regular customer here for the last 3 months I would say - coming in at least every week or every other week to order subs for myself and the other ladies I work with at my job. Every time I come in to pick up my food there is an older lady at the front desk taking orders/answering the phones that acts like she hates her life and everyone around her! You would think a business would want to have a friendly person up front to greet people but maybe this lady has some sort of seniority there where she can act the way she does around customers. Or maybe she just has something against me personally, even though I have always been friendly when picking up orders and have always tipped with a smile on my face.

Another thing to note is that the pricing here is a little crazy and doesn't make much sense. A large (10 inch) is $12.83 and a small (5 inch) is $11.75.... not sure how that pricing makes sense considering its a 5 inch difference?

Overall I've only tried their philly cheesesteak which is AMAZING and I do recommend trying, but I will not be coming back unfortunately because of the lady at the front desk. Again, you'd think a business would like to have friendly, welcoming employee in the front greeting their customers, not a lady who acts like she...

First time today ordering from D'Angelo's Subs. I got Elsie's Steak Sub, which is their regular steak sub (onions, mushrooms, peppers and American Cheese) with their homemade sauce added. There wasn't too much in the way of peppers that I could noticeably taste, nor mushrooms or onions for that matter. It was just okay. The sub wasn't heated up to crisp up the bread (at least mine wasn't). The disappointing part for me was when the cashier wanted to charge me an extra dollar for a styrofoam cup of ice water. She ended up giving it to me anyways when I told her I had a bottled water in my car, but still be aware they charge $1.00 extra for a cup of water. $12 for chips and soda with the sub would have been more reasonable as a lot of restaurants do. I paid $12.29 for a 10 inch sub...nothing more than just the sub. Like I said it was just okay, I much prefer Luigi's steak subs (here in Port Charlotte) if I were to get one from a restaurant, and they are a few bucks cheaper. To be honest I prefer...

We go every Saturday! It’s the perfect small town, “hole in the wall” restaurant. They have our favorite Philly Cheese Steak (get extra cheese, so good!), my favorite Chicken Salad and my favorite Chicken Caesar Salad! I always get the mini corn dogs as a snack too. D'Angelos was my biggest craving while I was pregnant with my daughter and they still are, even though she’s about to be 10 months old. The people who own it and work there are wonderful. They feel like family and D'Angelos will be our spot forever (God willing). I’m ashamed I haven’t left them a review sooner, as I’ve been eating here regularly for 2 years now, thanks to my boyfriend Kyle. As cliché as it may sound, you can tell they make their food with love and if you get it to-go, you can see it in the way they wrap the sub, which is flawlessly. I’d give them 10...
