I would give it a 1 star but I'm hoping they get their act back together. This was my go to place until today. I started to notice changes early July. First I tried my favorite, the reuben and fries. The reuben was greasy and the fries weren't the great fries I had before. Service was odd. I let this slide, I just thought it was an off day. Second time on a Friday, I had the all you can eat fish. I received fried instead of the other option I had ordered. I accepted it and ignored the mistake. When I asked for more, I received a piece that was extremely greasy. My wife's linguine and shrimp was very runny. I started to notice the owner talking to someone and mentioned a new cook. I wasn't going to give this place a bad review as I hoped they would recover. Remember, I loved this place. Well today we tried again. Hoping for the best we both tried the spinach pie and small Greek salad. Service was odd again, silverware was dirty, I showed it to the waitress and I got excuses that her girls didn't towel them like she told them to. It wasn't just water spots. She didn't even look close. The small Greek salad was good. I was anticipating the spinach pie as I had never tried it. The bottom was hard, greasy, and required knife to cut through. Owners were busy with family, waitress was non-existent, we didn't get our ticket. I did tip but not what I normally would, got up, went to the cash register, and paid. I wish them the best and hope they see that they need to pay attention to detail before...
Read moreI am Asian. My friend is Asian. My other friend is Iranian. All American citizens. We came to this establishment. Plenty of seating, but they sat us at the worst table next to the dishwashing in the corner. The seat were dirty with crumbs and some sticky stuff. They grudgingly cleaned them.
After waiting for a good 10 minutes, with no service, I got up and asked if we could move to another booth. They said yes and we moved to a nice seat next to the window.
Another group of red-blooded white Americans. They weee seated immediately and warmly asked what they would like to drink.
We still had no service. I had to stare down the waitress just to get her to come over. In a not so warm way she asked what we want to drink. Then she stomped away.
We waited for our drinks and looked at the menu. Another group of white boys came in and the same thing happened. Immediate service. We still waited. Both those groups that came in a good 15-20 min after us got their drinks and their orders in before us. We still had not even had the opportunity to order food yet. Still no water or coffee. Still no order.
I got up and left in disgust. My friends reluctantly followed me out.
Racist, prejudiced, entitled white breakfast spot I guess. Would not recommend at all if you don’t...
Read moreToday was my 3rd trip to this cafe and it was not a pleasant experience. The first two visits were just okay - no mayo on the bottom piece of bread on a BLT which was very dry and we had to ask for a side order of mayo. 2nd visit was okay, but my friend got the wrong order. Today was very disappointing. We had a Welcome Wagon coupon for BOGO and the host made a big deal about them not subscribing to Welcome Wagon, but finally agreed to honor the coupon. He should have just said okay and not made us feel as if we were ripping them off. But when our orders arrived, the food was a child's portion for both me and my friend. I have had this particular menu item before, so I know how much food I expected to receive. I guess they decided to give us less food to make up for the one free dish on the coupon. My cup had some black sticky substance on the side and had to be sent back for a clean up. We were not offered coffee refills (as I remembered getting in the past). If the servers felt justified in giving us less food than the usual size meal because we were using a coupon, this only serves to make us NOT WANT TO RETURN. That was such a petty thing to do and, if I were the owner, I would be livid about customers being treated like this. I will not...
