If I could give ZERO stars I would. Today my family and I went in for breakfast and the waitress Meghan was nice and everything was fine at first. We ended up having to wait 45 mins for our food and only had our coffee cups refilled once the whole time we were there and that was only because I asked for more coffee. Once we did get our food it came out in Styrofoam to go boxes and was never even plated. Once we started to eat I ordered the mountain scrambler but instead of them telling me before hand they had no biscuits and they just put it on toast which o feel like they were trying to hide it. I don't blame the waitress on the food mess up but I don't know if she knew or if it was lack of communication from the kitchen. But I do blame her for the lack or coffee refills or checking in on the table. I also blame the manager because he clearly dont know to to manage he just seems to be a warm body on the payroll. They did offer me to order somthing else but after having to wait so long there was no point because by the time I would have gotten my food the rest of my family would have already been done. After we were done eating we waited for them to fix the check but no one ever came back so I had to search the building for our waitress who then told the manager about the mistake. The manager acted like he didn't even care and just removed it from the check with no other words. While he was was handing me my new check another waitress walked by telling him that her whole section was mad about numerous things. This is not the first time weve had thos issue we've only ate there 4 times and every time has been issues. The last time we went my wife ordered Crispy and it took them 3 times to fix it. This whole restaurant need training in customer service and it needs to start from the top. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST BAD EXPERIANCE I'VE HAD AT DERRELLS BUT I PROMISE IT WILL BE MY LAST AND I WILL LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT EVER ASKS ME ABOUT THIS...
Read moreYesterdays visit was bad. Burger ordered medium came out burnt on the outside, and raw - not rare- on the inside, wrong cheese, unripened tomatoe and with MOLDY romaine lettuce. Very sloppily put together. Sent it right back. Hubbys steak n eggs. Wafer thin steak over cooked steak. Eggs were fine. 2nd attempt at my burger was seriously scary. It looked great, tomatoe was actually red, lettuce was moldless to the viewing..cheese was correct, bacon a bit greasy looking..BUT at the edges of the burger, underside of burger and even on top of the cheese was BRISTLES FROM THE GRILL BRUSH. Not one, not two, not even three or four..several embedded and others at the surface. Had I not been thoroughly inspecting this burger I more than likely would have bit into these pieces of metal. There is NO excuse for this. Especially considering the amount of food this place was churning out. How many others had metal bristles in their food yesterday? From what I understand from the server, this is NOT the first time. Will I go back? They have been given low stars and high stars over the years...this one star will be the last I am pretty certain. Its a shame.. Darrell has a great run of locations..but perhaps too many...
Read moreIf I could give more stars I would. I’m a NaNa who keeps her grandchildren while their parents work. I was hungry after leaving my eye doc appointment. I decided to have Darrell’s. I called to make an order to go. The lady who took my order was very very nice, helped me by walking out to my car to get my money for my order, then came back out with my food to the car, just so I didn’t have to get my infant granddaughter out in this heat. I have to give it to this staff they go above and beyond for their customers, they also ran out of apple sauce, and this same staff member took it upon her self to walk to Publix to get my granddaughter the apple sauce since I ordered it and they ran out. Talk about above and beyond. Ty so much. I forgot to ask her if I could post her name. So she knows who she is and I just want to say thank u so much for the above and beyond service today. I know I only tipped u $5 but right now that’s all I had extra. U deserve way more than that. They should give u a raise for how u treat...
