DiCrespo Steakhouse — Restaurant in Florida

I used to like this place a lot but on my last visit a few things happened and that makes me just give them 1 star. 1. The owner is very friendly but this time he was the one calling the shits, as a customer when you demand something you expect to be served the way you want things, not the way the owner thinks will be better. 2. I ordered a fillet mignon and I got a dry steak no sauce or mushrooms, not as described aat the menu. 3. The owner offered me a house salad instead of the regular side to share with someone else, he never gave the actual house salad, but a simple salad which was very disappointing since I've already tried so I knew what to expect. 4. It was happy hour but he said better to order the Sangria Pitcher but it was full of ice when we asked for it to come with the ice on the side he said no, because it has to be drunk cold, so he has to bring it all together. Honestly better to ask for a glass of wine which I'm hoping won't come with ice as well, like that you are overpaying for a sangria that in 5 mins will be diluited with no flavor. And 5 last thing, he included his tip when it was a party of 3 seriously? I have to give you 20% after all the bad service you gave us? I have read that when is a party of 6 its mandatory to leave 18% I never read that since its the owner Alberto the one serving you must leave 20%. So just be aware and maybe you might have better luck than us. In previous visits his wife was beyond CS and quality on food and service. I do not recommend this place, it used to be really good or maybe if you see the wife stay otherwise try...

I wanted to like this place, as I did read all the reviews including the not so great reviews.... I ordered a Parillada with fries and tostones along with a tres leche; - what gave this restaurant 2 stars was the quality of the food, the taste of the food and the price paid. The ladies in the front were very nice, therefore the service was outstanding but the food just wasn't. In my opinion the food lacked flavor. The vacio was okay had a little flavor, the short ribs were chewy, greasy and had zero flavor, the chicken had the most flavor out of all the meats, the pork chop was an insult because what I received was strictly the FAT of the pork chop no meat and that was horrifying, the morcilla was disgusting, the chorizo was actually good, the tostones were greasy, and the fries were not real fries they were Frozen Fries from a bag - so those were stale and the bread was a bit hard with no flavor like if they make the bread in-house but lacked some-type of flavor; as for the tres leche - it was okay very commercialized as if the desert wasn't fresh and made by another company who delivers it. When I placed the order I informed the lady that I would be picking up the order to in-sure that when I picked up the order no time spent from delivery was compromised, since I live 2 minutes away. Unfortunately I doubt that I would order from this restaurant again as in my opinion it is a pricey restaurant for the lack in flavor of the food...

Unfortunately my experience was horrible, please make sure when you ask for a dish to ask what’s included with the meat. For example, I asked for Filet Mignon, on the menu it says Filet Mignon, it does not include that it’s cooked with bacon, giving it a taste of pork chops, the waitress did not specified that it was cooked like this. The owner came and explained to me that in France it is made like that, I understand that perfectly fine, however I explained him that steakhouses in United States don’t usually include bacon, and he should specify that it’s made with bacon because it’s not very common in steakhouses from this country. ( a fact that he even specified to me) the owner with a horrible attitude took the plate away, and stood by our table making us feel very uncomfortable. The service was Very slow due to the Tomahawk that my husband ordered, it’s a slow process to make. Our table was not cleaned up very often all until the end, my husband ordered a famous Argentinian beer, and they forgot to bring it.
