This small restaurant is a raw unrefined gem on the in Kendall area, in the heart of the crazy busy 152 Ave...from outside looks like an average Latino restaurant, but nothing more far away from reality...just when clients pass through the doors, the interior design take your breath and change your mind right away, given you a break from your stressfull days and put your mind and your palate in synchronization, to enjoy a peruvian culinary experience (5/5 stars)... However, with a heavy heart, I have to say the culinary experience broke that expected synchronization. The first plate, a delicious ceviche with freshest seafood on a wholesale scale, enough portion to share (5/5 stars), however the rest of the plates, by far definitely not the best seafood or sauce as compared with other local peruvian restaurants. Plates were presented in a below average fashion with plain, bolds flavors and very small portions (1/5 stars). All the beautiful expectations from the design and the first plate were crumble down by the following 3 plates lacking originality and peruvian flavors. The main seafood platters among the other plates could not be easily associated with the international, well named peruvian cuisine. Some plates were not big enough to share among 2. All plates, except the ceviche, have a boring presentation. Very disappointing food with an awesome interior design... my experience with this peruvian restaurant was a disaster, sometimes with all the mixed seasoning, the flavor of seafood was lost...even the waitress service was below average for my expectations with a relaxed atmosphere If you are in town or just passing by through the area, and you are recommended this restaurant, skipped as it is definitely very HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED...you...

The food is tasty, but the service left much to be desired.

My husband and I recently visited for dinner with our 2-year old daughter. While located in local shopping center, the ambiance inside is elevated to be slightly more formal than we expected (though casual clothing is suitable).

The server started us off with some complimentary roasted corn kernels, a Peruvian classic named chulpe. They were crunchy and not appetizing to me, as they left my mouth dry. But my toddler ate a bunch of them.

I ordered the Bistec Encebollado. The dish was light on the protein but has a generous portion of onions. It also had 3 slices of warm tomatoes that I loved. It was absolutely delicious šŸ˜‹

My husband was initially discouraged when he receieve his dish, Seco de Res, as he found the colors to be off-putting and esthetically displeasing. Frankly, he thought the meat was "too green". After tasting it he found it tasted much better than it looked but was a bit overcooked which left the meat dry. He also found it to be slightly lacking in flavor. He was able to remedy the flavor issue by asking for hot sauce. He was given a red pepper sauce that was extremely spicy, even for his Jamaican taste. But when sparingly mixed into the food, he found it to be very appetizing.

Both dishes were served with white rice and his came with a pale-colored bean side, which he enjoyed.

I had a glass of the house merlot, which was perfectly dry and bold in flavor, highly recommend.

Our main issue with out experience was the lack of attention from our server. She never came to check on us after someone else brought us our dishes, and my husband was left without a drink refill for the majority...
