So I’ve gone here a few times, and the first time they messed up my iced coffee, and were pretty rude when I asked for them to fix it. Well I gave them a few more chances and the service was tolerable.
So this morning I go through the drive through, and had enough points to get a free treat with my coffee. When I showed her the QR code for the free treat, she scanned it, and looked confused. She than told me to give her the other QR code to complete the order. So I gave it to her, and she gave me my two items, and I continued my morning and went to work.
Once I arrived at my destination, which was right down the street, I looked at the receipt, and sure enough she charged me for the treat. Than once I put my hand on my coffee cup, the lid pops up and it doesn’t even fit on the cup, not only that, I than noticed my coffee was sitting in the cup holder with coffee over flowing the cup holder because it had either a hole or crack in the cup. At this point I had to dump the coffee out the window, and I got it all over my shirt in pants in the process.
Since I was down the street, I went back. Once I arrived, I waited at the counter for quite some time until the acknowledged me. I explained everything, as she pulled the sticker off my cup to remake it. I asked about the treat that was supposed to be free, she looks at the receipt and says “it’s fine”, and walks off to make the drink. Once she was done and handed me the drink, she tried to shrug me off so she can make someone else’s drink. I asked her, will my money be refunded for the treat. She gets frustrated and says, “like I told you sir, it’s fine”! I asked what does that mean? Will I be refunded? At this point she slams a cup on the counter and tells me, I was charged for everything I ordered, and I can redeem my points for my free treat the next time I come. She proceeded to want to argue. At this point I was shocked, considering I was literally standing there with spilled coffee on my clothes, and she was treating me like this. I had to walk out, because she had a horrible attitude, and she was not going to back down.
Thankfully I’ve had good experiences at every other location over the years, because if this was my first experience with a Dunkin’ Donuts, I would of seriously boycotted this company, but I’m definitely willing to boycott this location. It’s managed by people with very rude, and hateful attitudes, and most of the staff, is a great reflection of...
Read moreI have been going to this Dunkin out of convenience but no longer. Almost every visit they are running out of something; e.g. the last time I went they ran out of English muffins for the beyond sausage so I asked for a croissant instead, they were out of that so I asked for a everything bagel which they were also out of! This is not just one occurrence but almost every visit. Their doughnut selection is paltry since they seem to run out of doughnuts as well!
Commenting on the team members: when I asked for a beyond sausage, I could hear them joking about my selection. Also on another day their "sandwich machine" was broken and getting maintained that day, but instead of trying to work with me to make a Beyond Sausage doughnut sandwich (a creative solution) they kept repeating in increasing volume that their sandwich machine was broken (does that mean they can't warm up the sausage and egg or that they can't toast I don't know). Management is doing a poor job at running that establishment.
Commenting on current covid-19 pandemic response: they are performing at a subpar level. EVERY SINGLE TIME I cruise up to their drive thru window they are wearing their masks around their chin running around yelling and shouting. There is only two employees that wear their mask and that is the new girl they hired and the other older cashier. However, LITERALLY 100 yards away at the Burger King, they are always wearing their mask and gloves AND Burger King employees hand you your food in a FREAKIN' plastic tray to reduce them touching it! Burger King takes the cake here in how they are responding to this pandemic and this particular Dunkin doughnuts is going to find out that no "Americans will not run on"...
Read moreNot sure why Dunkin Doughnuts do not have disaster plans in place. When I mean disaster, I'm referring to when the shift manager doesnt show up for work.
This place was in total chaos this am . I should have known when I drove up to the drive thru and the line was 10 cars deep. I went inside. The shop was dirty, mini munchkins on the ground. Empty napkin dispensers and a line inside.
Practically every doughnut was sold out. I heard them tell another customer, they only had two flavors of the mini doughnuts, were out of chicken but could substitute for extra bacon or sausage. Seemed like poor inventory control of you ask me. Ot wasn't that the dispenser of napkins was just empty , they were out of napkins period . Handing customers paper towels instead. I waited over 10 minutes for my two iced teas.
I heard drive thru customers complain about the wait. And the staff tell them about the whole story of them being down staff and the shift manager didnt show up. They were complaining amongst themselves. It really is not the customers problem that they are short staffed or out of supplies. They should just work as a team and quickly. They exert more energy complaining about the obvious.
I thought I would try this Dunkin Doughnuts because the one in Ellenton is awful. This one is no different. The sweet tea tasted like coffee. I'll just buy their coffee at Publix and creamer. This way , if I don't make it fast enough, make it taste like what you ordered or I run out,...
