The food is good here, so that's number one. Now here is my experience. Upon walking in I got a quick hello and they let you know you can sit anywhere you'd like. The place is well kept and clean. I was in a party of four and when we sat, we were greeted with complimentary bread and butter. Glasses of water were brought right away, although I needed to ask them for utensils as there were none on the table. Our server was nice, quiet, but nice overall. I don't think they know english, which I understand it's a hispanic restaurant but I wouldn't want to be spoken in Chinese if I entered a Chinese restaurant. Never got her name and didn't even bother to ask. Simple as far as customer service goes. I would say they can be a little more enthusiastic, it would add some more charm. I ordered the Bistec Empanizado(Breaded Fried Steak) and the party I was with ordered the grilled liver and the Mondays special; Vaca Frita(Fried Flank Steak) accompanied with yellow rice and fries. Once again the food is delicious and it's well priced. I give it a solid three due to customer service being mediocre. The food is where its at. Good local food!

Food was very tasty overall. Mariquitas (had both plantain & malanga varieties) were crispy, tasty, not greasy and cooked to perfection! Chicken steak came out overcooked first time, but they recooked it the 2nd time which came out tasty and juicy. Lamb (cordero) was tasty too! Loved the decor here! Nice rustic brick look (see pics). Our server Nubia was sweet, friendly, and accomodating. Music was meh (alota sleepy throwback American ballads) with just a few upbeat American music throwbacks. Not one Latin song (no Salsa, Pop, etc). Music really adds much to the dining experience and they should consider adding some Latin music in the playlist. Still, I recommend this cool Latin restaurant!

Food here is fantastic! Absolutely delicious 🤤. The picana was so on point with the temperature , texture, tenderness, wonderful good! Congri was ok and the mash potatoes I don’t recommend they don’t even take the peel off. My favorite was the crema catalana. oh my god !! Sooo soo good. I think is the best dessert i had in a very long time. Our server was nice. Ambiance is a little off because the place was kind of dirty but it was late so they probably were just about to clean, i hope. Overall i do recommend this place cuz the food was really great.

My friends and I have been coming here for almost 4 years now, and everything has been absolutely phenomenal up until our most recent visit- Typically, we order the same plates each time, but today I tried the grits, which came out as literally a bowl of milk with a small layer of grits at the bottom. They were disgusting and I told our waiter Kevin that I really disliked them. He took the plate away and did not return. I figured they would be removed from the bill. Several minutes later my friend found several small hairs in her dish, and waved him over, surprised. He was laughing and smiling the whole time, clearly very entertained by the situation as were showing him the hairs in her plate. He took the plate and we figured there was no need to take photos, as they were probably embarrassed about the situation and would cover it. We finished the remaining food we ordered, and eventually waved Kevin over for the check. None of the returned food had been removed or even reduced, and Kevin continued to giggle and shrug and act like it was silly of us to even point out these flaws in our dishes (which we had not even finished before he removed them). We asked if he could possibly get the manager, and when we spoke to him, since Kevin had taken our plates containing the hair and the full bowl of grits already, he had nothing to go off of. We ended up getting a $5 discount on our check of about $50, and the two members of our party who had their plates (combined over $25) removed were never offered the option of getting an alternative dish. Horrible experience today and on the way out Kevin stuck his tongue out at us and rolled his eyes back (clearly very pleased with...

This restaurant serves your standard Cuban fare at good prices in good time. The decor leaves much to be desired (currently being renovated to some extent), but the food is good and perfect for a first time Cuban food experience. The portions are very large and are often enough to split and take home to enjoy later.

Your most common Cuban dishes are included on the menu like yellow rice and chicken (arroz con pollo), grilled beef (churrasco),chicken steak (bistec de pollo) and seasoned ground beef (picadillo). Rice and black beans are included with nearly every entree, and a basket of toasted and butter Cuban bread is provided as an appetizer. There are, of course, a slew of Cuban sandwiches to choose from, as well as an extensive breakfast menu that is served until noon.

Some of the lesser known (to non-Hispanics) but interesting to try dishes are the ox-tail soup (rabo encendido), creamed taro root soup (crema de malanga), turkey/cream cheese/strawberry sandwich (la Elena Ruz) and lamb stew (cordero estofado).

Most of the staff and customers don't speak English. If you don't speak Spanish, be prepared for a lot of pointing to items on the menu (which is bilingual). Most of the servers understand some English, so ordering is not usually a problem.

The service isn't spectacular. The waiters often forget to fill your water glasses, and they can be delayed in picking up your check. But, the time it takes to receive your food is quite short, especially if you order one of the...

Used to be one of my favorite Cuban places 2 minutes away from my house Sadly due to poor management Poor quality and poor sanitary conditions As seen online multiple news stations have talked about it and they have received multiple violations I hate giving bad reviews They are rude, unprofessional and disrespectful I ordered a chicken soup to take to my family member in the hospital Was extremely salty to the point where you couldn’t eat it I called them to explain this situation They told me that they were going to put on the manager The manager proceeds to say that no one else has complained about the chicken soup today and that it was impossible and that I needed to take the soup back to them for him to try it so they could give me a new one Mind you I have been ordering from this place for over 10 years without once returning or complaining about something I proceed to explain to the manager that I’m with my relative in Baptist hospital approximately 20 minutes away and that we threw away the soup because they was no fix for it He then because even more ride and disrespectful to the point where I just hung up Will never be ordering from here Tried to give them another shot after all their bad reputation and fame Will never be ordering...
