Pizza was good (especially for the price you pay for the buffet), however the owner? guy working the register was rude and condescending. When we asked about Gluten free items he acted as if we should know all the details regarding all the items in his kitchen.
We also had a 12yr old in our party which was eligible for the child's buffet price. However in order to get the child's price, the guy "has to see the kid to make sure he is not some 200 pound 12 year old that is gonna wipe me out". So BEWARE, if your child is overweight or big for their age they will NOT honor the child's price that is posted!!!!
Lastly, our 81 yr old father in law was trying to order "1 buffet and 1 drink" and the register guy gave him a hard time because my FIL did not realize the drink was included in the overall buffet price. Don't know why this simple mis-understanding had to be made into such a big deal.
The pizza was good and we enjoyed it, but I don't know if it was good enough to put up with the rudeness to come back again. I think I will save the hassle and order from Domino's next time we...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn vacay with my adult daughters and grands this week. We were looking for a pizza delivery and the web site said they deliver. When I called they said that arenāt delivering so I ordered take out. We picked up our pizzas that totaled $150.60. The guy seemed friendly when we arrived to pick up. I paid for them and did not add tip when prompted from the kiosk. Wasnāt sure why I would bc they didnāt deliver and I had to drive to pick up. Iām a very generous tipper when there is a reason to tip. When he handed me the receipt he said hereās your receipt with the no gratuity. I actually didnāt hear that last part but my daughter did. I said thank you and walked away. My daughter was shocked. She then asked if they had Parmesan packets and red pepper flake packets. He looked at her and said āNOā in a very rude voice. What?? He didnāt give us the packets bc we didnāt add gratuity? And we just spent $150.60 on pizzas?! Are you kidding me?? What in the world? Iām pretty much in shock!!! I never take the time to review anything. But thisā¦. Wow! Buyer beware! Very unprofessional...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePizza, like fried chicken, is a funny thing and likes and dislikes are so subjective that reviewing restaurants serving either is very difficult. We live in Springfield, Illinois and while it is known as the home of the "horseshoe" (dressed up Welsh Rarebit by another name) it is also home to many great pizzerias, all of which make crisp thin crust, greasy pizzas, so that is our standard. Big Daddy's pizza is neither, but a very good example of thicker crusted more leavened dough pizza, hence something less than five stars here, but no real complaints about the product. Ample toppings, plenty of sauce and cheese and reasonably priced. Just not what we have grown up (and out) with. Well worth a try if you...
