Firehouse Subs Tiger Point #36 — Restaurant in Florida

My first visit: terrible disaster. Couldn't find any chips anywhere. Perhaps the display had been taken to the back and wasn't brought out for my entire lunch hour? Cashier looked frightened that I was even talking to her. Wasn't given any information on how ordering worked or how the sandwiches could be made even after I informed them I had never been there before. I did not appreciate silence when I needed help.

Second visit: much the same except the women seemed determined only to gossip while I was ordering. Found the chip display out that time.

Third visit: indefinitely better. I noticed a few of the women talking in the back doorway when I walked in but this time one of the guys who made the sandwiches walked over to the register to take my order. He asked what he could get me, if I wanted any changes to the sandwich and if I wanted a combo. Thank you! Why wasn't this guy taking my order before? I actually got words from this employee.

Happy to say I'll be heading back soon though I think I'll be ordering directly from the sandwich artists from...

Date: Aug 30 Time: 6:34pm, 1 Male behind the counter, 3 - 4 females, I paid, received sub, then before I left, I turned around and when I asked about the meal sizes in relation to length of sandwich,the girl thought I was asking for a larger size sub, I declined and tried to ask where on the menu it states the length of sub,then the irate male responded with "DO YOU WANT IT FOR FREE OR NOT?!". Dumbfounded, I declined again, told him my concern, and since he bothered to listen, his attitude changed similar to a level headed human being, and told me that they tell the customer verbally the meal size in relation to sandwich size.. What kind of training did this mongrel get for customer service? None? Calm yourself, if you hate your job then find another...

The food is wonderful of course. But I gave the cashier my name and stood there for 30 minutes in the store while other customers came in and left with their meals. I thought someone would call my name when my food was ready but they thought my order was a pick up or something because my name was never called. And when I asked them what happened they reached under the counter to give me my sandwiches which had been sitting there for I'm not sure how long. Had to heat up to eat. Thanks a lot Icehouse. Thats what happens when you hire juveniles to work in food service with no adult supervision. I'll go back to Subway where they make your food for you and then hand it to you fresh.
