Absolute scam I mean truly scam of a place, I do not recommend and if I could I'd have them investigated.
I went in there to trade in a PS4 slim. My PS4 is in pretty good shape with a few scratches on the top cover but no blemishes of any kind. The employee tested my PS4 as they usually do and in the process sprayed some sort of " disinfectant "on it as he said to clean it. He then proceeds to tell me that he'll give me $12 for it because of a blemish on the top cover.
I know for a fact when I pulled my PS4 out of the entertainment center where it had been sitting virtually untouched for several months it did not have a blemish on the top cover. I called the store back after I left and inquired what he sprayed on the system and he said it was a disinfectant and that the spot had been on there. I said that no it wasn't and I even cleaned it up a little bit and dusted it before I left the house to bring it into the store. The employee made some sort of remark over the phone about it must have just came up, blemishes don't just magically appear out of thin air.
I think he personally sprayed whatever that liquid was on the top cover to blemish it so that he could offer me less of a trade-in credit.
But this is typical GameStop behavior, I have no idea why I choose to keep going into GameStop because they are not what they used to be and truthfully nowadays at every turn they try to find some way to screw over their customers.
Absolutely the worst GameStop in the Pensacola area and I would advise people to stay far far away from this...
Read moreDon’t buy used game systems from here. I bought my 6 year old a pre-owned Xbox one and within one day of him opening it on his birthday it stopped working. I brought it back and they plugged it back in and it turned on so they wouldn’t return it or issue me a refund. Not even 2 weeks later it stopped working again. I bring it back to a different GameStop closer to my house (I called gulf breeze game stop before doing this and they told me I could) the employee plugs it in and like I explained it would not turn on. Because the first time I brought it in and they would not return or exchange the Xbox I was now past the 15 day return period for used items. They offered me a $40 credit for a $200+ system that I have no use for & could do nothing about the $60 game stuck in his system I also just bought. The employee at GameStop on Mobile Hwy in Pensacola explained to me that all they do when purchasing used systems is plug it into their tv and if it turns on it passes their test and they put it on the shelves to be sold. I brought it to a repair man who took a look at it for me and it has WATER DAMAGE that is not fixable. This corporation is a scam and I hope no parents spends their last on a game system that is broken and...
Read moreThis store has the absolute worst employees. They’re rude, condescending and completely unhelpful. Twice we have attempted to purchase from this store based off of sales that are advertised and they’ve completely dropped the ball. Today we attempted to take advantage of a sale they had advertised on their app and they wouldn’t honor it unless we ordered it online first. Wouldn’t have been a problem if we could have just paid for it on the app and went about our day, but the employee told us we had to wait 40 minutes to pick up our order. We had literally already picked out the games and were standing IN THE STORE with no one else around. So we left, I went to file a complaint with corporate and called the store for the store number so I could complete the complaint and he wouldn’t give it to me without a reason. My husband is using the last of his rewards points to make one final purchase online to be shipped to our home, but after this GameStop has lost our business (tens of thousands of dollars between my husband and I in the last 15 years). I’m glad Amazon is putting you out...
