Fish Bowl Kitchen — Restaurant in Florida

First time at this location. Was very welcoming and customer service was great. I wanted something small and quick to eat so I ordered the philly egg rolls and the mango tea with strawberry boba. I gave the place a 3 star mostly for the food and Boba tea. But also the menu boards where overwhelming. I didn't have the time to really go through the entire menu board, saw philly cheese steak eggrolls in big writing and ordered that. So about my order. The boba tea was good but it had huge ice cubes in it. The ice was pushing the boba to the bottom and all I was getting was just tea. Also for the Tea itself I felt cheated because there was so much ice in it. after a few sips all I had was ice and boba The Philly egg roll was nothing special if anything a little disappointing. the order comes with 3 average size egg rolls. The egg rolls I ordered were hallow with a little bit of steak and cheese sauce. All 3 egg rolls were like this. The taste was there but nothing to brag about. Was still a little hungry after I left, My total was a little over 21 dollars in total with tip. My suggestion : minimize your menu to key foods that go with your theme, crush your ice for the boba teas instead of ice cubes, and more meat in the philly egg rolls if your making them fresh. First visit today. Super clean, great cozy atmosphere. Owners greet everyone which is a nice touch these days. Food was really delicious and don’t let the “fish” name fool you. They’ve got it all. Japanese ice cream was outstanding as well. Overall, super excited about having a great local choice for healthy food.

As you can see I never take the time to post reviews. This is an update to my original review. Returned today for my 2nd visit. My wife has returned a lot more in ten days! Today was yet another reminder that there are still great people running great businesses out there. The entire team at Fish Bowl is nothing short of outstanding. I was beyond caught off guard when I was greeted by my name. It’s been over a week since I made my first visit, the restaurant has been busy each time, and they remembered my name and used it. Unbelievable. And the food was better than last time!!! Kudos and make sure you stop by here and eat. You won’t be disappointed. My favorite combination is chicken and spam. Who knew that combination would ever make my fork. Truly enjoy this restaurant, the owners...

We were really looking forward to this place opening and finally got the chance to try it out today but we are a bit disappointed with the food. We had the chicken teriyaki bowl and the red curry chicken bowl, which both tasted like something you would get from the mall's food court or from the frozen section at the grocery store. Our food was just very mushy and we felt a bit queezy afterwards. We are new to the area and we quickly realized the healthy food options here are much more limited than in south Tampa, which is why we were so excited for this place to open. I still gave 3 stars because the customer service was great, the decor was nice, and we still plan to revisit and try the acai bowl one day since that's what the restaurant specializes in.
