🌮$1.99 TACOS NEAR UCF🌮 Follow me, @katelynxoxo for more Orlando food. @fuzzystacoshopucf is a quick service spot and it is located right by UCF. They have some killer deals - happy hour daily, $1.99 taco tuesday, and even $1 tacos with a purchase of a primo baja item. They even have trivia on Wednesday nights. . . . . . When I first tried Fuzzy’s, it was ok. I didn’t go back for quite a while. Recently, I gave them another shot and their food is much better than I remember. I would put Fuzzy’s on the same ranking scale as a Tijuana Flats. Above Moe’s and Chipotle but below authentic Mexican or even really good TexMex. So, keeping that in mind, the quality of food I’ve had at Fuzzy’s averages to a pretty good 4. I normally get the saucy brisket taco plate which come with 2 of the tacos and 2 of the sides. The sides are fairly generic, but the saucy brisket tacos are amazing. The pickled red onions and sauce are delicious. I absolutely crave these tacos. Updating my review: Fuzzy’s has made some changes for sure. For one, I have noticed the prices have gone up. However, I am actually bumping my review up a star because the food quality has gone way up as well. As I said in my old review, if the price had gone up and the food was the same quality that it was, this place would be a no-go for me, but the food we received for lunch this past week was surprisingly good. This might be the first restaurant I’ve been to that has improved since inflated food prices started. I now recommend the beer battered cod tacos. They’re crispy and the garlic sauce that they come with is VERY good. The portions are now much larger, so only order extra chips if you have 4 people or a big appetite. —- Original review: The best thing about Fuzzy’s is the price. For two people, you can still get away with sizable meals and pay less than $30. This is the part that really gives Fuzzy’s the fourth star. If it were more expensive, I would say not worth it. However, if they remain affordable I will continue to find their food to be worth the price.

First visit to Fuzzy’sTaco Shop and I think it’s ok to be the last. Starting with the positives, the restaurant is of good size with indoor and outdoor seating and the staff we interacted with were friendly and nice. We ordered Queso and chips with chorizo ($5.99). Without chorizo is $4.99. The Queso tastes like Campbells white cheese soup so it’s bland and the consistency is quite liquidy. The chorizo is barely present. They may have added 1tablespoon and it added absolutely nothing to the flavor or experience. It’s a bowl of “so what” and we shouldn’t have wasted the calories in ordering it….but all “Mexican” style restaurants are judged by the quality of their Queso. The chips that were served with it were seasoned and very good. For entrees we ordered Enchilada Plate ($8.99) and we chose cheese enchiladas with green (verde) sauce. This was as “gringo” as it could be as the cheese inside wasn’t even on the start of melted. The green sauce was not exciting at all. We ordered sides of refried beans and Fuzzy’s rice. The refried beans were tasty and while the rice was moist and not at all dried out, it was overly spicy. Since we mix our beans and rice, this left it not edible. Since it is Taco Tuesday we also ordered three ground beef tacos with flour tortillas (tacos $1.99 each). The tacos were tasty. We also ordered a margarita on the rocks with salt which was premixed. It could have used some tequila, but it tasted fine as it was. We would return for the Tacos, refried beans and tortilla chips.

When I moved to the area back in June I was happy to see a Fuzzy's taco nearby. I had been to the one in Fort Myers and loved their food. Last night however I had a terrible experience here. When I went into the store I found only two other customers and thought, great I should be able to get in and out quickly. After I ordered they got a good rush of about 25 customers and I was happy I had gotten my order in before the rush. I sat there in total disbelief as all of those people, along with at least two large carry out orders got their food. Some of them even finished eating their food and I was still waiting for 4 tacos and a burrito bowl. I asked an employee what was holding up my order, she checked with the kitchen staff and told me the delay was because I ordered tacos with fried shrimp and fish, even though others had ordered similar items after me and got it way before me. After waiting almost 45 minutes I got my food and drove 3 minutes to my house. The food was cold and I couldn't eat it. Warming it up in the microwave just made it into rubber and so I threw away $35.00 worth of cold food. I will not be back. I foolishly decides to give this place a second chance...again it was not very busy. My order was AGAIN COLD. I LET THEM KEEP MY MONEY BECAUSE THEY WOULD NOT REFUND MY MONEY...I WILL NEVER BE BACK. SAVE YOUR MONEY. GO TO CHINA WOK IF YOU ARE IN THE AREA, THERE FOOD IS ALWAYS...
