My friends and I had an amazing time playing mini golf here. The course was quite fun, and beautifully themed. However, the one staff member we spoke to was very passive aggressive, sarcastic, and borderline rude.
Her name was “Thom”. Upon our entrance, her attitude was immediately off. One member of our group asked to use Apple Pay, and she was very unprofessional in her response. He ended up using his card, instead, which was inconvenient simply because she didn’t want to put in the work for the transaction. Every time a new member of our party was greeted, she had a completely two faced attitude and looked irritated that we were there.
When we arrived, the place was fairly busy. There was a group of 5 ahead of us, and some behind us, too. We were a group of 9, and as we embarked into our game, she told us to split up into 4 and 5. However, by our logic, this would not make a difference in the timing as we already needed to wait for the group ahead of us to even begin. So, we began playing, still in a respectful, timely manner as we understood we were a large group.
Two or three holes into the course, she passed by us to throw out some trash. She told us to split up, and we attempted to reason with her about the situation. But, her tone could not be reasoned with and she was very short with us. Very unreasonable, and our group was admittedly a little frustrated, but regardless, five of us skipped the hole and moved forward, waiting for the group ahead of us.
To no one’s surprise, the group of four caught up with the rest. We ended up waiting for the other party ahead of us regardless, and continued until about 3/4 through the course. Then, one member of our group saw the employee kicking something as she walked by us again. Upon further inspection, the member of our group looked where she walked, and saw his own golf ball in the hole. He did not hit his ball into the hole. We do not know how it got there, but no other member of our group was even in the area, so there is no other explanation.
She checked us out at the end of the night, and took our golf clubs- she basically snatched them from us. Her tone of speaking throughout our visit was very uncalled for and made us want to leave. It seemed that she did not even want to help us, and gave very poor customer service. Other than Thom’s unprofessionalism, we enjoyed playing and had...
Read moreThe staff is friendly. It's a fairly well maintained course with a bit of normal wear and tear. There are 18 holes with varying degrees of difficulty and interest. There is a LOT of walking and quite a bit of stairs so if you have mobility issues this might not be the best place for you. They do have some benches throughout though. They also have a small arcade, a place where you can "mine for gems" and alligator feedings that you can add on or if you want them all you can also get to hold a small alligator. It is a bit pricey but they do have coupons from time to time and if you bring your scorecard back for the next time there's a discount. But for a family of 4 to play plus one alligator feeding it was $65 (technically 3 adults and 1 child because one child was over 10). But it was a good 2 hours of fun and if you go early evening after dinner it's not too terribly hot. They do have some sanitizing stations but the staff was not masked. It's mostly open with the exception of the arcade and the stand where you pay. But considering that they are in close proximity to many guests I would have preferred they be masked. But we wore masks when in close proximity to other people and then removed when we were...
Read moreSCOTT SCAMS KIDS OUT OF THEOR MONEY!! STAY AWAY!!!! My children just played golf at the east colonial location. Scott ran their card twice stating that the first charge did not go through. My son looked at his bank account and both charges went through. 2 charges for $28.74. My son showed scott who proceeded to tell him it was not his problem and that my son would need to dispute it with the bank. The bank told my son that both charges went through and that they were not pending. I called to speak with Scott. Scott handled the situation horribly. Basically he said there is zero I can do for you and sorry about your luck. He was arrogant and rude. Laughing several times at my frustration. He would not release the name Of his manager. All he gave was an email address which I’m fairly certain was his email. I am positive Congo river could use the business as their is never anyone there. I would literally tell anyone that would listen not to go there. It is important to have employees represent your brand and I can tell you he is not the representation...
