Called in an order for delivery. Man picks up. No greeting or please hold just put my call down on the counter so I can listen to them taking other calls and orders for 20 mins. While holding I hear the phone ring and he puts that call down on hold. Female finally walks by the counter and ask if she can help and he said “yes. I think they are the same number” and then they hang up on me. Same number? Yes. I work at a place of business. But do they know I was ordering for myself and the other call was for someone else? No. Handled very unprofessionally. Never checked on me, never ever spoke to me. I guess it was good because my co-worker who was ordering for someone else was told it would take an hour and 15 mins to have their order delivered.
UPDATE Honestly, the complaint is not about the delay of delivery. That is very understandable. The complaint is about having the phone sat down on the counter while I listen for 20 mins of them answering every other call but never getting back to me. When they answered I didn’t even get “Goldie’s” or “just a money please.” Later… I even heard them put my co worker on hold. I can hear the phone ring and their replies to everyone calling in and them operating the register. I heard the conversations very clearly. When another coworker asked to help. (Already mentioned this above) the male said “They are from the same number.) Then they hung up on me. No buttons pushed. They had to pick up the phone and hang me up. Remember, I am sitting on the counter? Anyway, My co-worker was ordering separately from me. If, I called back would they put me on another hold? If, it wasn’t for your female employee I don’t think my coworker’s call would have been picked up. Bottom line… It wasn’t handled properly and it was inconsiderate. No excuse because there isn’t one. I just wanted an apology and to make sure...
Read moreI have been coming here for over 10 years. It was a great spot because it was affordable and the peanut butter and strawberry spread was unique. On 8/23/2025 My spouse and I sat down and tried to order the ultimate breakfast, which is listed as $19.99. However, we were told that we would have to pay $29.99 for the ultimate breakfast instead of the price listed. Our server said “they were in the process of changing the prices of some items”. First of all I believe that the price on the menu should be honored no matter what. If they are going to change the price immediately then they should put a sticker on the menu or write in sharpie the new price. Be transparent with customers from the start. Jumping from $19.99 to $29.99 is a huge increase…considering last year the price was $17.99. Either way I ended up getting one single pancake and a glass of water. My spouse got eggs, sausage, pancakes, and a coffee and we left paying around $28 with tip. The pancakes are never very great and always separate/fall apart. So it was pretty disappointing.
I can’t imagine how pricey it will be when they redo their menu. I understand the increase of food these days but it still seems off. Either way I don’t think it was fair not to honor what the menu says.
Goldie’s has decent food. It’s never been the best in town but their prices and it being a local spot kept us going back. However, this will probably be our last time at Goldie’s because this didn’t sit right with us and their food isn’t worth the price.
The staff is always friendly and welcoming. This is definitely...
Read moreIf I could give negative stars I would. We are a local business nearby Goldie’s and have been ordering from them for years. As of yesterday- no more. We placed an order for pickup as usual. When I walked into pay, the girl behind the counter took my money and I was looking to leave a tip but she gave me all big bills back. Hospitality 101- always break it down if you want a decent tip- otherwise customers may choose to not tip at all. As it’s an inconvenience when your hands are full of bags of food to have to ask to break down the bills. AND it’s very presumptuous to think I’m going to leave you a 35% tip?? I had to struggle to see if I had any other bills in my wallet, which I managed to tip almost 20%. She still scoffed and made a rude comment to one of the other customers sitting at the bar there eating.
WE WILL NEVER ORDER FROM YOU AGAIN! THANKS TO THE GIRL WITH THE GLASSES AND LONG BLACK HAIR! The food is not that great- it’s okay. It was just convenient since we’re nearby. We order at minimum , breakfast three times a week for our staff. To be treated that way- there is no need for it and you’re not doing the owners any favors when you treat their customers that way.
Seems the restaurant doesn’t care about their customers- too big for their britches at this point because they stay busy. Which how this happens I’m not sure. But you’ve lost our business for good. This is not the first time we’ve been treated poorly, but is...
