Noodles catered my wedding for ~90 people at a cluster of 5 private rental homes on Fort Myers Beach in July 2016. It was PERFECT! I can’t rave enough about how awesome Seth and his team was! He was just so accommodating and the food was great! I live in the mid-west part of the country and planned everything myself long distance. Seth was very responsive and easy to work with and made great suggestions for my wedding menu. It was kind of a risk deciding on a caterer/restaurant we had never even tried out before, but I’m so glad we took that risk. We had appetizers, an Italian buffet, a sushi station with a sushi chef (who rolled and also deep-fried some rolls for us), an off-the-menu prime rib station, and a bartender. The houses had small kitchens and Seth and his team were still able to adapt and accommodate, prep and keep all the food warm. He went above and beyond – provided cardboard trash cans, brought ice and coolers for my drink station (I provided the alcohol, mixers and drinks), poured champagne for all my guests, cut and displayed my cake, packaged up the leftovers for us and left it for the remainder of my family’s stay at the rental houses, took the initiative to make a trip out to the venue prior to the wedding day, cleaned off and re-racked the plate and cup rentals, and provided a bartender last minute! The set-up and aesthetics of all of the food and drink displays were absolutely gorgeous, too. My Vietnamese family of 50 is VERY hard to please when it comes to food and I heard not one complaint. All my guests were raving about how great and tasty the sushi, sashimi, prime rib, and stuffed mushrooms were and they LOVED that there were not small portions or a lack of food like there are by some wedding caterers. My new husband is also very hard to please when it comes to services and wedding vendors and he absolutely loved Seth! He was very pleased with how professional and accommodating Seth was. And the great food was just an added bonus. My aunt who ended up being my impromptu wedding day-of coordinator let me know that Seth and his team was awesome the day of – just super professional, adaptable and accommodating – with set-up and service – even after we found out that 1 of the 4 ovens we though were available didn’t work. My family also LOVED the bartender that we decided we wanted last minute. She was great and so sweet. She knew her drinks so well and even made her own margarita mix. I’m sure my liquor selection was rather limited compared to what she’s used to but she was able to make it work and she’s a big reason for why most of my guests had such an amazing time! I realize that working in a completely new environment isn’t easy, especially since I had an outdoor wedding on the beach with no tent in the Summer, Florida heat, at a venue not normally used for weddings or special events AND asked for both sushi and prime rib, but Seth nailed it – hands down. Everyone was just so professional and awesome. I’d definitely recommend Seth and his team for...
Read moreWent to Giuseppe and the Lion in Naples yesterday for “Sunday Brunch with Sinatra. The brunch was from 10 am to 3 pm.
Our party of four (two couples) arrived at 10:30; no Sinatra. We ordered our breakfast. While we waited for our food, a table of 8 women started arriving. Well, they were rather loud, but there was no show yet, so it wasn’t a big deal.
I went to the restroom and asked a server when the show started. She said she didn’t know if he was showing up because he normally is there when they open.
When I returned from the restroom, the Sinatra singer had arrived and was setting up. I assumed (yes, I know) that once the show started, the ladies would keep it down. Absolutely incorrect!
They were as noisy as ever. I finally called a server over and asked if he could do something with their table. There is a section toward the back of the restaurant where their loudness would not be so bothersome to the show. The server said that he would do something. Well, nothing ever happened. No one went over to their table to ask them to be more quiet during the show; no one ever offered to move them.
About 20 minutes later, one of the men in our party asked a Server to have the manager come over. About 30 minutes later (with no Manager) another guest in our party spoke with a different server and mentioned that we had asked to see a Manager a while ago and no one had come over yet.
The two men went to the restroom. While the men were away, the Manager did come over. She introduced herself and said she was the Owner and Manager. I told her that the table of eight was being extremely rude, not only to the performer, but to the other guests who wanted to enjoy the show.
She told me that she thought I was being rude. She said it was a birthday party. I said people who came for the show could not even hear it. I asked if she would like it if I screamed during the show. She said she would ask me to leave. Guess that wasn’t the same for the group of eight.
She continued saying I was the one being rude. I realized she was not going to do anything about the group, and I told her thank you. I was done with her. That must have really annoyed her because she didn’t leave the table and just wanted to continue to argue with me.
She finally left. On our way out, one of the men in our party went to speak with her. She told him I was being rude.
A simple apology would have sufficed; perhaps moving us a bit closer to the stage. None of that happened.
She had very poor customer service skills. If she truly is the Owner/Manager, I’m sure this place will not last long.
If you are offering a show, your customers have the right to expect that they will see/hear the show. The restaurant may be okay for dinner (food was average), but there is absolutely no concern for their guests to enjoy.
Put Giuseppe and The Lion on your...
Read moreHad my birthday celebrated last month here ! They had live music which was awesome! The singer performed very professional and talented! It was a bit louder than usual so was hard to talk to my friends, but is not always that loud on music nights at all !
We had a reservation so it wasn’t a wait!
Service was so so, kinda good but kinda lacking.. We was a table of 12 people separated in 2 tables near each other.. Not sure why, but the server took long time to order the food then took about an hour for the food to come. The sad part was that one table 7people got their food and finished it while 5 of us (including me who also ordered appetizers for the table) got it much later so almost no one wanted the appetizer anymore since they had their meal. Menus wasn’t cleared from the table so it felt crowded on the table and not everyone got the full menu either. Some got just the happy hour menu which i didn’t realize till after the meal. I have been other times at this place and even though this time the service was not to the standard, we still enjoyed very much and plan to come back! Maybe the server was new or just had a bad day, it happens to all of us! So i am not complaining, but wish was better! 😁
Food is always excellent here! ❣️I have my absolute favorites too - Big Daddy rolls and octopus appetizer! Not what i had the last time , i didn’t get the menu listing it so i thought they don’t have it anymore ( i was so sad, literally chose my bday there because of those 2 orders) .
Mr Giuseppe himself approached our table to say happy birthday and gave some extra love to the table which totally made my night !🤩🥰 Thank you very much for that Mr Giuseppe!
All over all , i recommend this place and definitely will come back! Great atmosphere, beautiful decoration! Always fun music nights and great food ! ❤️
