I'm drawn to Peruvian Ceviche as an intensely involved philatelist is drawn to, say, the British Guiana One-Cent Magenta; as the Uber Fantasy-Football enthusiast is drawn to the FFPC; as the Truffle Hog is drawn to the Perigord or the St. Jean truffles; as... well... I've made my point - right? Corvina (Sea Bass) is the traditional fish for Peruvian Ceviche (from this moment forward known as "the Ceviche") and this was masterfully put together with the perquisites, to wit: Peruvian corn (choclo), and sweet potato (boniato). The leche de tigre is something you must have - and by "have" I mean every last drop. See those little soysauce saucers - tilt your Ceviche bowl into said saucers and drink it. Trust me on this. Surrounding diners may look down upon you like a Philistine - but the one or two cognoscenti in the room will respect your bold conquest of an otherwise unconsumed "Leche de Tigre". Ok... So - the Ceviche is great. Modest portions - yes, but any more and you'd be pegged as a glutton. I'd say it's insufficient as a sole appetizer for a three-top. Son had the Shrimp Pad Thai - fine. Daughter had some roll with the trendy yum yum sauce squirted atop the crumpled rice krispies (don't hold me to that - but you know what I'm talking about, right? You see more and more of these artsy rolls these days. My Chicken/Basil was good. Having a Peruvian was a great touch (Cusqueña) but really, the star of the show was the Ceviche!

Unlawful false advertising claim on their ad mailer promotion and lied to me over the phone regarding honoring a 10% OFF all delivery orders discount and free delivery within a 5 mile radius. Manager insisted on arguing with me for a half hour before I could place my order. She didn't believe me so I even sent her a photo of the ad mailer promo to prove I wasn't making up the discount. She said she needed to speak to her boss and call me back and preceded to lie to me by saying that they would honor all the claims on their ad. After telling me they would honor their ad promo, I ended up not receiving 10% off and received only $5 off my $60.50 order when it should have been $6.05 and they still charged me $5 for delivery even though I live 4 miles away. On top of all this the delivery took 1.5 hours and the food was stale and soggy. Driver refused to come to my door after giving them permission to come through the gate, I had to drive my car to my front gate and block traffic to pickup my food. After complaining to the manager she insisted on arguing with me via text even further and sent me photos of the bill to further prove that they did not add the 10% off discount as advertised in their promotion. DON'T TRUST THIS BUSINESS!

I used to love this place but the prices have gone up and everything else has gone down. I’ve always had a good experience dining in but as far as takeout goes- I’ve given one too many chances. Last time our order was messed up and took 30 mins longer to come out then when they had said for pickup ( which isn’t fun when you have an impatient toddler who’s hungry ) and this time around my ceviche was under marinated- I know because I’ve gotten this dish MANY times and the fish always turns white from the acid and forms up a little. This time it has no white in it and was mushy and flavorless. We ordered my husband a pad Thai and when we got home realized there was no pad Thai but instead some steak with fries I’m assuming that were soaked and soggy in juice. Not even sure what that was but we were very hungry and upset that his meal wasn’t even in the bag and that mine was inedible.

First, let me note that for the past 6 years, I have dined here roughly 4 times each year. Mostly, I been very pleased with everything. Last night, I ordered takeout in order to relax and dine at home. Online, I ordered my standby Thai comfort dish of Basil Sauce with a side of brown rice. I arrived at the Pine Ridge location to find the dinner rush had passed and 4 tables inside and 5 outside had diners. There were 3 servers and a kitchen staff of who knows how many but at least 3 different faces appeared at the small counter where servers pickup meals from the kitchen.

While not busy, no employee made eye contact much less saying hello and or offering a "Someone will be with you shortly" greeting or whatever. With 2 other takeout customers there before me I joined their queue near a table laden with food in containers but none of it was going anywhere. More takeout containers came out of the kitchen and were placed on the table. After being there for at least 15 minutes with still no acknowledgement of my presence by anyone who worked there, one server/hostess came over to the table, sat down, spread out 6 take-out order receipts, starting reading them and sorted through the 15 or more containers on the able to match each item to the proper printed receipt. No receipt had a complete order so the server got up and performed some other tasks. Meanwhile, a new take-out customer who ordered online and was completely ignored. All the while, the take-out food is cooling. More food came out of the kitchen and was put on the table by the server/hostess and more receipts were read and containers were matched to an order. Finally, one of the customers there before me had a complete order, paid and left. My term came next except, the side of brown rice still wasn't ready. It was forgotten. The server/hostess went to the kitchen and brought back the brown rice. I should have opened every container and checked it personally before paying but I didn't. My big mistake. Whatever sauce I was given was far different from the usual, it was not spiced properly but I added my own chili pepper sauce at home. The basil used was not fresh but dried out stems and fibrous. The brown rice was a glutinous mass of rice mush so overcooked and dried out and cold that the scoop of rice was glued together and there were no individual rice grains separable from the mass, just different degrees of textured mush. Disgusting.

Will I go back again. Maybe, but only as a last resort as there are other Thai restaurants in the area. Oh well, every meal is an adventure. Sometimes they end really well and...

"DON'T EAT HERE!" Save your time and hard earned money!! Our family ate their last night (party of 5) the service started off okay, kinda so-so. We waited a while for our main dishes. The food was very bland. I know each Sushi Restaurant has their own spin on sushi, but this food was not good, not fresh and way overpriced! Okay - live and learn - probably won't go back. My husband ate a few bites of his meal and pushed it aside "Terrible!" the waiter who by the way spoke and understood english all night...came to the table and asked if he wanted a box to take it home...my husband politely said no thank you I did not like the meal, I don't want to take it with me. Here is where the waiter SHOULD have said, "I'm sorry to hear that, let me help make it right" - and offer him another meal or take it off the bill etc...BUT instead he giggled AND WALKED AWAY! ..."Who Does That ?!?!? I wish to God that I would have gotten his name because I would post it so anyone wanting to give this place a try - would ask for someone else!! He came back with the bill and my husband said again, pointing to the plate "I didn't like the meal - again the waiter giggled - my feeling is that he at that very moment wanted us to believe that he didn't understand english anymore! That is when I spoke up loudly and said "He said, he didn't like the meal!" - NOTHING - NO RESPONSE- BLANK STARE! My husband got up and spoke to the manager, explaining what happened - and he - THE MANAGER - also DID and SAID NOTHING to make the situation right. I guess the staff learns by example! I am a sushi lover and this restaurant is conveniently located for us, but after this disaster we will NEVER GO BACK and we will tell everyone we know about their food and service. I hope this review helps you !! BTW - I HAD to give this review a star in...

Komoon used to be one of my favorite restaurants, unfortunately as they've expanded the quality of service and food has gone way down, especially with my most recent experience.

I received an email for a promotion for either 20% off any order or 50% if you spend at least $50. I decided to bring a couple of my colleagues who had never been and I had hyped them up about how good the food was. We got a bunch of appetizers and I got the basil chicken with rice (a dish I used to always get) for my entree but the taste was just not good. Sauce was very sweet, seems like they may have changed the recipe. Although the food was not great, I was still having a good experience. That was until I mentioned the coupon.. Our server said we were not eligible for the coupon as it was only allowed to be used for dinner service. However, no where in the email is this stated. The only small print mentioned that the 20% off any order or 50% off $50 can not be combined. Even if this was their intention (only having the coupon for dinner) a well run restaurant would still honor the coupon and update the email for future guests. However, this was not done. She did end up calling a manager who gave us 20% off our order but in my opinion this is still not the right thing to do. When I was younger, I worked in the service industry for years and understand how the treat customers. I hope Komoon learns from this experience but for the time being I will not be recommending or returning to their restaurants. I hope your experience is...
