Slice of Life Pizzeria — Restaurant in Florida

I got tied of going to the chain restaurants and have tried several mom and pop pizza places that just didn't cut it. I tried Slice of Life and actually enjoyed their pizza. The first time I went I actually went to eat inside. They got my wife's order wrong, but didn't charge us to change it which was appreciated. The next time I ordered carry out and when I got home the pizza wasn't what I had ordered. I figured oh well mistakes happen. I gave them another shot recently with carry out. Again the pizza was wrong. I went onto their website and checked out their specialty pizzas and ordered based off of the descriptions and pictures. Not only did my pizza not look anything like the picture, they didn't put one topping that should have been on it and instead put something else. Same with my wife's pizza. I unfortunately won't be returning. To many mistakes and not representing what they advertise. I dont know if this is a matter of them not even knowing what is on their own pizzas or the cooks just decide what they want or they just never update their website. There's way to many other pizza places around to be making constant mistakes. I gave them 3 shots and that's it. They really need to have better quality control. If something is going to be advertised, sell it like its shown or change it. As far as prices go they are fair. Chain places obviously sell for a lot less, but they seem to be in line with other independently owned places.

A FOLLOW UP TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE:

I went to the official website, not a clone. The pizza I ordered should have had garlic on it, instead I received ricotta cheese. My wife's pizza also had ricotta cheese on it when it shouldn't have. The picture online also showed actual basil leaves. All I had on my pizza was very small thin shavings of basil and not much at all. I appreciate the offer to correct things, however 3 times with mistakes is one to many so although it might get corrected, I can't risk another order going wrong in the future. Perhaps some of the cooks need to be re-trained or your website needs...

Usually rate this business a high 4 star. But today 11/30/2024 (12:36pm.). Service in my personal experience was a 1 star this day. Cashier (Phone S)? seemed to me, more interested in talking to all the other employees working there at the time. Other then focusing her attention to me (the customer) trying to place my to go order of $51.73 I was trying to order various slices from your case up front. And I assume the cashier was still engaged in conversation with the other employees. She just stood at the cash register, and never came up to the slice case to take my order. So I just started to call out my various slice order standing at the display case, as this cashier stood at the cash register. As I began "yelling" my order down to her. (just a weird way to place my order)? She actually turned around and started talking to another employee, right in the middle of me trying extremely hard to place my order with her. As I started over. Once again, she turned to yet another employee walking by, and started talking with them. At this point, the guy making the pizza's finally stepped in and said he would take my slice order. (THANK GOODNESS)!!! And when the pizza maker tried to relay my slice order. The cashier was still not paying any attention to the pizza maker person. Still talking with other employee's. I looked at the pizza maker person. And made the comment, that the cashier wasn't paying any attention to him either? Then after all this. i finally made my way to the register, but this girl was still in conversation with other employees while she was cashing me out. There was no "thank you" and or please come back again soon. Nothing! Now ask me why i left a $9.67 tip? (Just a weird experience). And for (Phone S). STOP TALKING!!! The menu offered a wide array of options, but we decided to try their Grandpa Pizza. The thin, crispy crust paired perfectly with the generous toppings and flavorful sauce, making each bite a true delight. We also sampled the garlic knots, which were warm, buttery, and seasoned to perfection.

What truly elevated our dining experience was the outstanding service provided by our two waitresses, Kaylee and Izzy. Their attentiveness, friendly demeanor, and genuine enthusiasm made us feel valued and well-cared-for throughout our visit. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations, ensuring we had a memorable meal.
