Hot Wok 88 — Restaurant in Florida

I have been going here since 2019. The restaurant has truly went downhill. I'm so disappointed. We ordered Mongolian Beef, Beef with Broccoli, & Hot & Spicy Beef. You can't even distinguish one meal from the other now. They all taste the same. It's as if they used the same base for all meals. Nothing like it used to be. They all have the same odd grilled taste to it. I remember when each meal tasted different. Taste like Panda Express now. Mongolian Beef most definitely supposed to have a sweeter taste to it. Hot & Spicy Beef more spicy & grilled. Beef with Broccoli more of a browned sauce taste to it. It lost its authenticity of Chinese Food. I gave it 3 more tries over the course of months spreaded out. No improvement at all. Definitely changed cooks. I noticed the change in 2023. I ordered so much food this time I didn't dare to ask for a refund. I raved about this restaurant. Now I will never return unfortunately. New staff/cooks ruined it for me. These new cooks must have came from a Mall chain. I miss...

I was skeptical because of all the mixed reviews, but I went ahead and tried this place and EVERYTHING I ordered was delicious! Really glad I tried it! The sesame chicken was well battered, hot and fresh, no chewy or dry meat, and the sauce was really tasty! The boneless spare ribs were so yummy, the sauce is so sweet/tangy and I honestly just kept going back for more even after I was full. Fried dumplings were great as well, the dipping sauce with them was one of my favorites so far and I’ve tried fried dumplings from LOTS of different restaurants. Pork fried rice was a huge portion with lots of onions/peas/carrots and everything was seasoned well, so so so tasty! I’ve been looking for a new place to get good sesame chicken for a long time since my go to spot closed down, and I’m happy to say I found it! I've never held Chinese takeout to a high standard, but this was disappointing. We ordered General Tso Chicken with Pork Fried Rice and Pork Egg Roll, Fried Dumplings, Spring Rolls, and Sesame Chicken. Both chickens were good (though they tasted similar), and the broccoli in the sesame chicken tasted good, even being a little crisp. The spring rolls were crunchy and delicious. The pork fried rice was bland and the "pork" pieces had the consistency of a gummy bear. The pork egg roll had a gross, unsavory taste, and it did not appear fully cooked.
