Date night with my wife. First impression: 9:07 pm (dark out), no sign lit, no parking lot lights, no external lights whatsoever, pitch black in the parking lot, we had some difficulty deciding if this was the winghouse, and if they were even open. Seated quickly, but table had a constant drip from the ceiling. Ive been to strip clubs where the dancers wore more than the servers here, and people are shocked at Hooters? Was a bit taken aback by the prices, $17 for 10 wings?? Ok, menu says jumbo wings, we'll give it a shot. Things started off encouraging with a basket of fried mushrooms, full, and a perceived value at $8. Limited selection of sauces/ wing flavors compared to the majority of wing places I've had wings from (Probably over 100 places including the Anchor bar in Buffalo, credited with being the "Buffalo wing" originator). Wings come, ordered medium hot, and disappointment sets in, far from jumbo, the wings at Hooters and BW3 are double the size. OK, date night, make the most of it, don't spend it complaining. Tried first wing. Dry/hard, overcooked, and a weird flavor. First flavor to hit the palate was sort of sweet, like a honey glaze (remember, I ordered medium hot, think traditional Buffalo wing), followed by a Jamaican jerk rub flavor. The puddle of sauce on the plate was indeed medium hot, but there was no sauce coating the wings, only on the side of 4 wings actually sitting in the puddle of sauce.
On to service: Aside from being served by some one barely wearing only underwear, server was friendly and nice. Service was rather slow, but the kicker for me, having worked in full service food service as a manager and chef at a point in time, was that the server kept touching her hair, exposed skin (which was most of her), face, phone, coworker, then serving food without washing her hands.
The bill: OK, date night, my wife is well kept, I'll take her anywhere for date night. I've taken her 8 hours away for a 3 day date night. She wanted wings. Total tally for 20 sad wings, a pretty decent basket of mushrooms, and 2 beers each was $61 plus tip. For that kind of money I can take her ANYWHERE except the PREMIER steakhouses and the all you can eat lobsterfest in Orlando. So, in perspective, any table service hibachi, outback/Texas roadhouse/local favorites/seafood, pretty much anywhere.
The bottom line: Not coming back. If you want wings, find another place, even the wings from pizza hut are better, and I thought...
Read moreI ordered wings on a Saturday night we got there right when she said that they would be done. My husband went into pick them up and no one talked to him for a good 5 minutes to let him know where the food was where it would be available at or to be able to pay for the food. One of the waitresses finally helped him and we got the food went home and the wings were not what we ordered. I called Wing House to let her know that the order was messed up she said that she could remake it for us and we can come back up there and pick it up or we can get our money back or we could come another day and pick them up we chose to come the next day to pick them up because we were 30 minutes away from the place. So on Sunday went up there to pick up our order I told her that we would be up there after 12:00 or 1:00 but I would call when we were on the way so that they can make the food I called up there at 3:00 something and he said oh yeah it's been made since 12:00 okay can you make me fresh ones because I'm on my way up there and he said yeah sure no problem. needless to say they were not made fresh they were refried and weren't even steaming hot when I walked in the door and he said they still had 5 minutes left. Which is a load of crap because they weren't even hot I literally picked a piece of chicken off when I brought it to the car so I know they weren't recooked and that to me is just lies lies lies all over the place. So yes I give them a one-star rating the manager there she was nice about the situation but I feel like the actual part of doing the job to get it done was not done correctly so very poor on their management part. And when I went in there to pick the wings up on Sunday The girl didn't even know I was even there for a good three or four minutes cuz she was busy talking to other people and not paying attention who coming to the door she didn't even say hi nor did any of the other staff so for customer service. So with that being said I will never order food from Wesley chapel Wing House again I will always go to New Port Richey because at least in New Port Richey were treated like every customer that walks in there is a new customer and that they've never been there before and the staff is very friendly to every person that comes in the door and their customer service is on point and if there's an issue the management there takes it seriously so congratulations to Maddie who is the New Port Richey...
Read moreNot much to share. Went inside, bartender said sit anywhere you like. Took a seat at a table Near the door and perused the very limited lunch menu.
There was. One other occupied table With a number of older gentlemen and appear to be a meeting of some type, And I think. Two people seated at the bar. Essentially it was dead inside.
The waitress cashed out the table and the older crew departed.
The waitress cleared the table, then went about stacking glasses or some nonsense back by the drink station behind the bar.
Again, never once did she (or anyone else for that matter), mention I will be right with you or offer to take a drink order, or even acknowledge that I was Is actually there.
After about ifteen minutes, I decided it was time to head elsewhere, and camly, walked out of the business. Even then you would have thought some one might have said.Hey we'll be right with you or something but NADA. Silence.
I'm a pretty patient guy and I understand when you're busy, you're busy, and they'll get to you when they can. But this was absolutely ridiculous! Absolutely zero level of service.
I tend to prefer wing house over hooters for a variety of reasons , not the least of which is the food. I generally frequent the ones in Tampa.or Saint Petersburg, but I can assure you that I will never be back to this one and sadly, will never recommend it to anyone I know.
I know my personal review and lack of recommendation is not going to affect their business when iota,
I seldom do reviews, and when I do.They're usually four and five stars.
This one unfortunately I...
