0 star. I usually do not complain about customer service, however this time i decided to contact corporate about the terrible experiance i had tonight. We decided to have pizza for dinner, so i went ahead and called in my order for pick up, which they said it would be ready in 10 mins. 10 mins is the drive from my house to the restaurant . When i arrived to the drive thru i am greeted by a young african american lady, i did not carch her name. I say pick up for "abby". She proceeds to charge me the $8.68 and i hand her my credit card, she hands my a receipt for me to sign and hand it back. At that moment she walks away, the window still open and i hear her say to another young lady can you take care of the drive thru i have to take this out, had 2 pizza boxes in her hand. The other girl asks me whats the name and what did u have? I say abby, large pep and mushroom pizza. She walks away look at the shelve for my order and comes right back and says its not quite ready can u please pull up we'll take it out. So i pull up wait about 10 mins see no one comes out with my order. So i decided to drive back around, and the first girl who i paid is surprised to see me again and i say is my pizza ready? Shes response with an attitude "i gave it to u!" I say no the other girl said it wasnt ready and made me pull up. She rolls her eyes, slams the window starts making all these weird hand movements as she is talking to some other co-worker. At this point i am confused and getting upset. She walks away from the shut window and this time a young hispanic man asks me may i help you, like he is not aware of whats going on since that girl just told him. I repeat is my pizza ready i was charged and never got it because it wasnt ready. He dosent say anything and and shuts the window, i wait for several mintues then a manager comes up and ask again may i help you, i reply i paid for my pizza i didnt receive it because the girl told me it wasn't ready and made me pull up and wait 10mins, now she said she gave it to me? He said well your pizza is no where to be found...and stares at me. I explain to him that i never got it she must of gave it someone else, and that i wouldn't lie about an 8 dollar pizza, and that he should check his surveillance cameras to verify. He just nodded. By this point i felt very angry and upset, especially being 4 months pregnant and having to argue about a pizza. I request my money back, he doesn't say anything about it, and tells me to pull up he will check again for it. I pull up wait several mins and he walk out and tells me the girls sware they give it to you and we dont have it, (i felt like he was accusing me of lying). But we will remake it for you of u want. I tell him no i do not want it anymore im very upset would you just refund me back, he was reluctant to refund me back he insisted it would take 10mins but byy then i would had already spent/wasted almost an hour and i was afraid those girls would do somerhing to my food. He said ok i will cancle your transaction, i said good i want a copy of the receipt, he then tells me i cant do that, it will not print one, which is very very odd. Anyways i insisted i want a copy so he finally agrees and makes me drive around again to the drive thru. And again same girl opens the window gives me a very nasty look and rolls her eyes closes the window. The the ""manager " goes on the computer and just like that gives a receipt for the cancelled transaction, that he said wasn't possible at first. This was the worst experience I've ever had, as i drove off, i wanted to cry from how upset i was at the whole situation, your employees should pay much more attention to what they are doing, and give each client their attention and not leave at the middle of a transaction, especially roll their eyes i front of the customer. Very bad service should probably be better staffed to better serve. I will no longer make business with this establishment, i will never forget this experience which could have been handled very differently with...
Read moreYesterday my son called to order a pizza for lunch. My son has a speech impediment, he stutters. He got a concussion 3 years ago and the stutter was the result. He has been very self conscious about his speech impediment and has been working on it the best he can. Part of the work he does for the stutter is to order food because he tends to stutter when he gets nervous speaking to people. Ordering food helps teach him to control the stutter. He orders food everywhere we go. And all of the wait staff or customer service people treat him with respect. He has called this hungry howies for the last couple years and has NEVER had an experience like today. He called and JASMINE took the call. He stuttered when he asked for his pizza and she proceeded to stutter back at him. Yes she stuttered back at him. Which embarrassed him and hurt him more then you can imagine. Anyone that has a child with this problem understands my frustration. My husband went there to the location and spoke with ABE the manager. He said he would speak to her. That's it...no apology from JASMINE to my son? My husband called the corporate office and left a message. He did not know any names to go along with his complaint, so I called and spoke to the manager (I did not know it was ABE). I asked to see if they could look up who took the order from my son. He told me it was JASMINE and then told me that he talked to her and it was handled. I told him I want an apology for my son and he told me that he apologized for her to my husband but, at the time he talked to my husband he said he did not hear it but that he apologies for her. I wonder how often this happens to people with this manager blowing off customer complaints and apologizing for an employee you have not even talked to yet about the situation . He also raised his voice to me and said he was not arguing with me nor would he speak to me. I told him I was not arguing and I would call corporate which he said he nor she would get into any kind of trouble. I have been coming to this Hungry Howies since it opened. I have lived in the same area for rhe past 40 years and this is the first time I have ever complained. I am upset for my son. What kind of person does that to someone and what kind of person acts like it is not a big deal. Shame on you JASMINE AND ABE. I pray that neither of you or your children ever have to deal with any speech impediment or any other disability of any kind. And if you do that someone does not treat you the same way my son was treated...
Read moreIt's a shame that they spent all that money opening a new building just to keep the same terrible service. I work at a different Hungry Howie's location, owned by a separate franchise. I stopped in this location one night about 3 weeks ago on my way home from Ruskin. I ordered a large thin crust with feta, bacon and mushrooms and extra lite sauce. The gentlemen taking my order was friendly enough, repeated my order back to me including extra light sauce gave me my total told me that it would be 15 to 20 minutes and I could pick it up. When I arrived I gave my name for my Pizza and noticed on the ticket it said extra extra sauce. When I open the box the sauce was so thick it was running cheese off the side of the pizza. I told the girls no I ordered extra light sauce and she snatched the pizza back from me and took it to the back. Then a manager came out and said that they would remake the pizza and it would only take about 10 minutes. After waiting 30 minutes my pizza came out the same girl slid the box across the counter and walked away offering no apology, no credit no kind of explanation as to why my pizza was incorrect in the first place. I asked to speak with the manager again. I explained to him that I worked at a different Hungry Howies location and I was very upset at how I had been treated. The manager at this time then apologized and offered me a credit for a four topping pizza the next time I called under the same phone number. That leads us to today's order I decided after three weeks that I would come back in and try this location again I called in my pizza and again ordered the same thing thin crust large extra light sauce bacon feta and mushrooms. When I arrived the gentleman took my name and handed me my pizza and told me that it would be $17 and some change when I explained to him that no I had a credit under my name and that even the gentleman that had taken my order had seen the credit and told me that it would be free then went into the back and came out with a manager who I can only describe as inappropriate hire for a management position, asked me who it was I spoke with when I explain to him the situation he looked at some things on the computer turned around and handed me my pizza and said have a nice day and walked away with no explanation no thank you no sorry. I'm extremely disappointed in this Hungry Howie's location and from now on I'll stick to my own location no matter how far I have to drive back from where I am to pick...
