Very disappointed and won't be back. Here's why... A few months ago I visited and it was my first time. I entered the restaurant and was not greeted by the woman behind the counter. She looked at me very wickedly and it made me feel terribly uncomfortable. I brused it off and then began to look at the menu. When I asked her about the menu, her response was just as unpleasant as her look. I then decided to leave because I just didn't trust her fixing my food. Fast forward 6 months to tonight. I just left this place again.. I went back and remembered the experience, but didn't think it would play out like that again. I walked in with a smile and there is another lady behind the counter. Instead of her greeting me, she looks from behind her mask and says "no oxtail tonight." I said what? She repeated it again. I said well thats ok, I've never been here before. She ignored me most of the time while she spoke with another Jamaican man. Their customer service is horrible :(. I ordered stewed chicken and to my surprise, she was fixing my plate. She came from the back and stated it was not enough stewed chicken for my order, so would I like curry with it? I said yes, thats ok. I get the food, hoping the taste would make up for the lack of customer service, and the food is horribly luke warm. Worse than cold. The rice had no warmth to it, but not hot at all. Both chicken was luke warm. We ALL know that in order for juices to run in the stewed chicken it needs to be hot. The vegetables were all warm. This did it for me. Pleeeeeease, do NOT serve luke warm food. You are a kitchen and should NOT be fixing food that is warm. Turn your pots on or something. I'm not for writing reviews to hurt people. I suggest this place train their cashiers on customer service. I understand that it may not matter to all people, but for some, customer service is a BIG deal. We are in the middle of a pandemic and you're giving cold food, while you open my box of food on the counter to show me. Completely NOT acceptable in my book. I am sure your food is good when its hot, but train your people to be kind and not looking all weird and making the customer feel uncomfortable. This...

We went to Vero Beach on business and was looking for a Jamaican restaurant, this was the closest one we found. On our way back South we decided to stop and have something to eat. We were very disappointed, the customer service was definately not there we weren't greeted we were just ask what we wanted. My boyfriend does not eat corn so we asked what kind of vegetable came with the steam fish and vegetables the lady said cabbage but when we got the food it was more looking like lettuce steamed with corn, okra and sweet peppers and this was not explained to us. We had to take it back and was given more rice but not the amount that was given before, we had to request more. My boyfriend said the fish tasted like microwave cardboard with oil and water(very dry). I ordered the mini jerk chicken and everything chicken and rice and peas was piled into one kiddie (tiny) box, the gravey was thrown all over the rice and I could not enjoy it because it was far too spicy. We did not realize there was a sit down area on the otherside until we went looking for a restroom, when we discovered it and said we wanted the food in plates the lady said she already shared it. We were given the plates and utensils to put it in ourselves. We did not enjoy our experience and surely will not...

I went on my Lunch Break to try the food seeing they are really like the only black owned restaurant on us1 in PSL I know of, when I get there the lady at the front was so RUDE to me I asked for the Mini Lunch special she basically yelled at me and was like there is a size you need to look and tell me the size you want I explained that it only said Mini lunch for 6$ she got more upset with me and said there is a size the man next to me starting laughing so I looked over and said "I know I'm not slow" so she charges me $7.50 I take my food and leave when I get to the car MY FOOD IS WRONG she gave me curry goat instead so I go back inside and say this is incorrect she says to me well I charged you $7.50 and you paid it so that what you got ..LOL she was serious too!!! I said I thought it was $1.50 tax so I just paid it ma'am I'm not trying to argue with you , she changed my food and put it in the bag and handed it to me . I also noticed she opened everyone else plate to show there food but me...IDK may be she was having a bad day but I wont be back there that was so mean and nasty for no reason AT ALL and very EMBRASSING seeing the restaurant had people in it and everyone looking like well why she so mad with you!! I wasted $7.50 I was scared to eat the...

The jerk chicken was semi-dry, not as spicy as I would have liked for jerk. The beans in the rice were not fully cooked, beans almost raw. They were crunchy, not soft. The cabbage was not cooked through. Cabbage was like it was cut off the head and plated, hard and crunchy. Had to cook the cabbage in a pot at home because the cabbage was too hard, like cabbage salad, not desirable. The only thing that was tasty was the plantain, only get two per plate, and in the other plate was the oxtails. The oxtails were good and the beans and rice was a bit uncooked but not as bad as the jerk chicken plate. Overall, this is a step down from the restaurant I visited a few years ago in 2017. The food is bearable but not desirable. I will probably not go back. Thank you for reading my review.

I haven’t tried any other Jamaican restaurants in Port St Lucie. Jerk City was the first one I went to after moving here and I haven’t had to go looking anywhere else. They are sooo good. We usually get the oxtail or the curry goat. Oxtails are always tender and they give you a very generous portion. Goat is always cooked right and the flavors of both are perfection, especially when they pour on a little of that extra gravy. Rice and beans, cabbage, it’s all great. Fair prices and quick service. The best in town and easily in south/central Florida. I’ve had a lot of Jamaican food and this is some of the best!
