Our family has been ordering pizza from Jimmys for a while now. It's always been very very good... But based on our experience on Sunday, we may NEVER order from there again. Unless we go there to order & pick it up ourselves. I called & asked for a 14" meat lovers pizza. The girl on the phone said that they can't make a meat pizza in a 14". I asked why & she just said "I don't know" so I had to ask her to please find out for me. They were able to make the meat pie 14". Next I asked for banana peppers. She said they don't have those. Which is strange because they do make sandwiches. Ok fine, what kind of peppers do you have I asked ? She mentioned cherry peppers. I asked her, what kind of peppers are those ? Are they spicy ? She answerd "I don't know" once again. She did place me on hold to find out. So we ordered our meat pizza, garlic knots & a large oriental chicken salad (I love their salads). After I hung up. Not even 30 seconds later I called back to make our pizza a thin crust. The same girl said they can't do it bc the pizza is ABOUT to go in the oven. I mean how fast are they there? I asked her can you please ask them to make it a thin crust. Instead of just asking, she's going back & fourth about how they are just about to place it in the oven. If she would have just asked right away I'm pretty sure they could have changed it. My husband didn't understand the issue so he got on the phone & asked her to please just cancel our order. The girl said "well we can just cut the crust off ??" My husband & I don't make pizza so we don't know, does just cutting off crust make it a thin crust?? She still continued to speak, interrupting as he asked to just cancel the order & then just hands the phone to someone who answered "thank you for calling Jimmys, how can I help you?" My husband repeated that he would just like to cancel the order because the previous girl will not just ask to make our pizza thin crust. The next girl said don't worry about it we will make it a thin pie for you. Totally ignoring the fact that we wanted to just cancel the order. So the pizza came really fast it was delisious. The garlic knots were hard as a rock. Thank you ! I put what I thought was an oriental chicken salad in the fridge to eat the next day. So here we are today & I opened my salad & ITS NOT EVEN AN ORIENTAL CHICKEN SALAD !! Really guys?? Either you did that on purpose or just really don't give a dang. I would think after all the useless drama, they would have the sense to make sure the order was correct. I never ever do these reviews but this experience was beyond worthless! It's just pizza, it should never be this difficult. Based on just the girls on the phone, Jimmys is probably loosing a lot of business. We have always ordered from a gentleman that answers the phone, always nice, curtious & gets the order RIGHT. But this new girl needs some SERIOUS customer service training & real life wake up. We will never call to order pizza again. I highly suggest walking in there & just waiting...
Read moreOur experience here is similar to what we have experienced in most of South Florida - decent food, with a culture of struggling customer service.
Our order was placed online with a Curbside pickup option (it was raining) for 6pm. We arrived about 6pm with instruction to call the restaurant when we arrived. We called and got forwarded directly to voicemail, with a message that states the mailbox is full. Not to worry - I walked inside to pick it up, bypassed the “Order Here” line of 10 people and walked up to the “Pickup” line. I was told by a girl “pickup is over here,” pointing to the “order” line. Slightly annoying but still not a big deal.
I waited in line, gave my name for the pickup order and was told it wasn’t ready. No approximate wait time, no “I’ll let you know,” just a “not ready.” I sat for about 20 minutes, and didn’t hear from anyone so I decided to ask them again. A different girl walked over to a guy who talked to another guy, and the two pizzas we ordered, ready this whole time, were sitting on the oven. Without apology or acknowledgment, they were handed to me. We were pretty hungry at this point and didn’t check the pizzas while we were at the restaurant, which probably gives you a pretty good indication of how this ended up: they gave us the wrong pizzas.
To be fair to JB’s, this is the common experience we have with anything related to South Florida. They aren’t an anomaly. We have had their pizza before and it’s the best around, so we keep going back rolling the dice on service. Best rule of thumb if you’re moving here however: make dinner at home, you’re not in New...
Read moreI had their food for the first time tonight and I must say everything was excellent! First, I want to start off with the service. As soon as I came through the door, I was greeted by the young man at the counter--very polite and friendly. The staff there were all clean in appearance and had nice attitudes. I had the pleasure of meeting Francesca the owners daughter who was kind, friendly and welcoming. The place was extremely clean and pretty large for a pizza parlor, nicely decorated with images from NY. I ordered a basic cheese/pepperoni pizza, 12 wings, and a half dozen garlic rolls to-go! Food was all piping hot, and the NY style pizza was delicious with a crispy golden crust just the way it should be. The garlic rolls were crispy on the outside but fluffy and soft on the inside and had great flavor. The hot wings were perfectly cooked inside and the sauce had good flavor. The presentation of the food was beautiful, not sloppy at all--garlic rolls were carefully placed in a box with wax paper underneath and the wings were placed in a foam takeout container wrapped in plastic wrap so nothing would spill out. It may seem like people don't pay attention to these things but believe me it makes a difference. I have yet to have as good of hot wings as I did tonight. A++ from me! Will definitely be returning. Oh and they deliver to the...
