I wish zero stars was an option. Start to unresolved finish with this company has been a nightmare and customer service does nothing but pass the buck to some other company that handles their shipping and delivery.
We ordered 2 harmony sofas back in May 2020. The shipping time is already very long bc theyre "custom" (aka you pick the fabric and thats it) however the very long delivery time was further delayed 3 times with zero notice or update from the company. When i reached out to them to ask why it was always a canned response with no answer or resolution although I was promised a refund due to the extreme delay.
Fast forward to delivery of the couches. They arrive damaged and are frankly average quality at best. When i contact customer service about a refund due to the delay and now the damage im told i must contact a third party. I follow the directions and hear nothing. On business day 3, 5, and 8 I reach out again and ask what the status is only to be told "it's being processed". I reach out again on day 10 and am suddenly told they never received the email at all and nothing is being processed.
When I asked why the other customer service reps lied to me and told me it was received and was being processed I got zero response.
That brings us up to today. Weeks later, no response, no refund, and the owner of 2 damaged and average quality couches. Customer service does not care in the least and will only supply a canned response that resolves nothing.

Read moreI purchased a new home earlier this year and was really struggling with furnishing it. I’ve been searching for months with no success. I was getting so frustrated and disillusioned. I went to many furniture stores repeatedly and was just not seeing anything I could get excited about.
A friend suggested to me that I check out West Elm which I had never been to before. I was so impressed with the store and the staff. Everyone welcomed me and offered to help but they also were respectful about letting me wander through the store on my own and check everything out.
I was actually a little overwhelmed with all the pieces I saw that I really liked. Luckily, one of their designers, Mary, introduced herself to me and offered her assistance. She was a HUGE help to me. She totally understood and was very respectful of my tastes in furniture unlike the designers I had met at other stores who tried to impose their personal tastes upon me.
Mary made herself available to meet with me several times to provide her input and help decide what to purchase. She was very professional, pleasant, conscientious and thorough. I’ve always despised furniture shopping but she made it fun! I ended up purchasing seven pieces and plan on going back to purchase more!

I purchased a table from Mary from the Wed Elm store and it the table was placed in my car .. i was surprised regarding the west elm systems. .i wanted to purchase a matching table . The Coconut Grove store had only one in stock that couldn’t be sold because it was a floor model. Mary was kind enough to give me a list of stores that did have the table that I wanted to purchase in stock. I found it a little strange that some of the stores had 5 to 8 of the same table in stock. The distribution of tables to stores seem imbalanced . One store could not move the inventory to another store. When I called corporate they told me if I ordered from corporate , I wouldn’t get the table until May. Therefore it was up to me to contact the other Wesr Elm stores to purchased directly from the store and have the table shipped with an additional shipping charge, which I had no problem paying . I am just making a statement that if I wasn’t a motivated buyer , I would probably have given up. It seems to me that there should be someway to expedite these purchases .
