This was my first time dining at a Haitian restaurant and the food was really good. I got the fried goat entree. The goat was nice and tender and had good flavor. The rice and red beans were delicious, along with the plantains, sauce, and pickliz. Overall, the meal was great! However, I would say the waitress messed up my experience. The service was mediocre and super slow. They brought out our food like 10-20 minutes apart instead of bringing all of them out together. The waitress didn't really attend to us much, so we barely got any water. And then when we had to pay for our dishes, they added an automatic 18% gratuity without telling us. I didn't notice it until I asked for an itemized receipt. I had to ask for the merchant copy of the receipt since I wrote another tip on there. I scratched it off. I will come back some time in the future but I hope I don't get the same lady.

This location is nice. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. There’s live music/DJ certain days. Staff are friendly but services may be delayed. There’s usually long wait for orders but the food makes up for it. Delicious, full of flavors. Good portions. It can be a bit pricey but well worth it. We’ve had many of their menu items. We enjoy their ā€œFritayā€ which include akra, marinade, and fried plantains pair with fried goats. Akra and marinade are both deep fried fritters made with various ingredients, a combination of appetizer dishes. The rice with pigeon peas was tasty. We’ve tried many other dishes there, mostly enjoyable. There’s a bar as well for all types of alcoholic beverage needs. Well kept and clean spaces. We’ve been there several times to eat in or during seasonal events. Give them a try…foods great!

The food was good, I had the fish with fried plantains and marinad; fish was really seasoned and taste delicious. However, plantains was too thick and wasn’t crispy. The only problem, it took 25 mins to place an order. No one greet me or acknowledge me, it’s like I wasn’t even there. Great customer service is what keep a business open and running. A simple ā€œthank you for waiting; I’ll will be right with youā€ goes a long way. I don’t even see any manager or team lead at the restaurant, everyone keep walking and not even trying to make eye contact with customers. The restaurant is open but google said it’s closed. I give 5 stars for food but customer service it’s a negative 5.

ATTENTION!!!!! DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! The customer service at this restaurant is beyond abysmal. They treat you as if you are lucky to have the opportunity to try anything they offer you. I would rate a -5 if it were possible. The customer service was so atrocious that it ruined an entire night out for a group of us. This is the third time that this place has ruined a meal for me. The food here is actually fantastic, the issue is actually ever getting the food, or even getting what you ordered.

To begin, this restaurant either does not do reservations or only offers it to certain people. Not sure because they would not give us a straight answer. Following this, we arrived at the restaurant around 7:30 pm. Waited about 20 minutes for someone to come serve us. Besides us there were around 6 other people in the restaurant. They were not busy. After finally getting some water after another 15-20 minutes, we decided we should order because the food will take 1-2 hours to get to us. All of us ordered and proceeded to wait. We also ordered drinks while we were waiting. Those came in a reasonable time and were fantastic.

Two hours later, food starts arriving at the table. The right side of the table got their food first and they realized they all had rice and peas. None of them ordered rice and peas. But they ate it anyways because they did not want to wait for their food again. Thirty minutes later the waitress brings my girlfriends food with black rice; not the white rice that she ordered. We ask her why and she tells us that they are out of white rice. This is a habit of Albertes. They will know that they are low or out of something. Let people order it. Then bring them something else entirely and expect them to be okay with it. Anyways, at this point I ask if they are out of white rice what will they be bringing me? I ordered curry goat with white rice and bean sauce. She informs me she will be bringing me black rice. I told her I am not okay with that. She looks at me like I am crazy. .. I inform her I no longer want the food and she can cancel the order.

Other people at the table who also ordered white rice start changing their orders as well because they only eat certain meats with certain types of rice. Waitress comes to my friend and informs him they are out of ox tail, which he ordered. So he asks for something else instead. She comes back 15 minutes later and says they are out of that as well. Then she informs us that because it is Thanksgiving tomorrow, the owner decided to save the rest of the food for tomorrow because they do not want to cook again so we have to just deal with all of our orders being changed. At this point I am both livid and dumbstruck. The owner really thinks this is a proper plan? SCREW OVER THE CUSTOMERS YOU CURRENTLY HAVE FOR THOSE YOU MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE TOMORROW???

Another 15 minutes later, my friend who ordered the ox tail gets ribs brought to him... He ordered fried turkey lol. At this point everyone is fed up with the situation, we eat our food and try to just pay and get out of there. Paying takes nearly an extra hour because the restaurant decided to put every order on one bill without asking us. Once everyone finally finishes paying, the restaurant claims someone did not pay for a second order of fried goat and a shake that equates to $25. Only one of us ordered fried goat and all shakes were already accounted for. Just to finally get out of there one of my friend closes the tab and we leave. AT NO TIME DID A MANAGER COME SPEAK TO US TO APOLOGIZE FOR THE ABYSMAL SERVICE, NOR EXPLAIN TO US THE SITUATION. The only time the owner spoke to us was to tell us we needed to move because he did not want us taking pictures where we were.

Again, the food here is phenomenal. The problem is you may never actually get to eat it, no matter how long you wait for it...

I was in Miami for the Haitian festival with my husband and friends. My husband told us about this Haitian Restarant he went to last year that had good food and Live DJ music playing. First, the wait was for 15-minutes. There were 3 table (booth) not occupied. We decided to get a drink at the bar while we waited to be seated. We ordered 3 pina-colata and a beer. There were 2-bartenders at the bar walked away and one went to serve at the buffet and the other waited in the dining area. There was no one at the bar and we waited for 20-mintues before she came back to fix our drinks. After all that wait our pina-colata ended up tasting like cocunut milk. It had no rum whatsoever and bits of coconut flakes. We were told it would cost an additional $4 to add rum. I’ll pass! They had no goat, pigeon peas rice, no beef, no chicken, no black rice, no red-bean rice (only mix vegetable rice). Practically nothing in the menu. We were told what they had available and those were our choices. Rice (only mix vegetable), fish (cost a whooping $35), lambi(only grilled), oxtail, curry goat, curry chicken, curry pork, acra ($4 for 4) and fried plaintain. I had lambi and plaintain. Very well made. My husband had the curry goat, mixed vegetable and plaintain. He said the curry goat was too salty and I tasted it and he was right. The rice was very good. My friend had the oxtail and he said it was ok. My other friend did not eat. She was not happy because of the menu limitation. However, she went by the buffet and asked for macaroni and there was none. She had carrot cake dessert less than half the size of a normal slice of cake for $5(Wow!). Dinner ended up costing us $126 that night. The so called pina-colata was $9. There was a gratuity they added for $18 and we were told it was automatically charged to our bill. The service was not that good. The wood floor is a lawsuit waiting to happen. It’s very slippery and there was this wet floor sign (may be its an excuse just in case someone falls). Ladies be careful wearing your heels. Our overall experience was solely reflected on the service and the lack of menu choices. Especially during a special Haitian event in Miami. We decided next time in Miami we will not return to the restaurant or recommend to...

Exceptional Customer Service at Alberte's Restaurant

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Alberte's Restaurant, and I must say, the customer service I experienced was truly outstanding. From the moment I stepped through the door, I felt welcomed and valued as a guest.

First and foremost, the staff at Alberte's particularly Jennifer, was incredibly attentive and friendly. She greeted me with warm smiles and promptly seated me at a comfortable table. Throughout my dining experience, she constantly checked to ensure I had everything I needed and that my meal was to my satisfaction. The level of attentiveness they demonstrated was truly remarkable.

Furthermore, Jennifer was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. She were able to provide detailed recommendations and answer any questions I had with ease. Their expertise and genuine enthusiasm for the food added an extra dimension to the dining experience and made me feel more confident in my choices.

What impressed me the most, however, was that Jennifer ability to anticipate my needs. She were always one step ahead, refilling my water glass without me having to ask, and promptly clearing empty dishes from the table. It was evident that they were committed to providing an exceptional dining experience, and their attention to detail certainly did not go unnoticed.

Lastly, I must commend Jennifer for her professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond. When I mentioned a dietary restriction, she promptly informed the kitchen and made sure my meal was prepared accordingly. It was refreshing to see that she genuinely cared about accommodating her guests needs.

In conclusion, my experience at Alberte's Restaurant surpassed all expectations. Their staff's dedication to providing exceptional customer service was truly commendable. From their friendly demeanor to their extensive knowledge of the menu, every aspect of my dining experience was characterized by attention to detail and genuine care. I highly recommend Alberte's Restaurant to anyone seeking outstanding customer service and a memorable...
