Before the store was rebuilt and under new management, my review would have been VERY different. However, since the new store, new management, and new employees, the service has been outstanding. I only eat fast food about once or twice a month, but stop there many times to buy a Diet Coke. Whether I go through the drive-through window or go into the restaurant itself, I am served quickly, politely, and receive my order in less than 5 minutes. If you like McDonald's, give this particular store a definite try.
ADDENDUM 05/20/2019: After watching several YouTube videos about the secrets that McDonald's doesn't want customers to know, I don't think I am inclined to ever eat there again. A consumer group in the United Kingdom tested various fast-food restaurants, and McDonald's came up with 3-4 out of 10 soft drink servings to contain e-coli bacteria (which is essentially found in feces). My guess is that, yes, the employees must prepare the food with gloves, but the same can't be said for the ice machine - they can use bare hands to scoop up the ice. And, if they didn't wash after going to the bathroom, you have a serving of bacteria with your drink. Not only that, but there is a long laundry list of chemical additives that are in all of McDonald's food. The McRib is so far removed from being a real rib, that I can seriously doubt how much pork is actually in it. They also have to add a ton of chemicals and sodium to form those "ribs" from various unsavory parts of the pig, i.e, tripe, stomach, and other parts that would make the average person gag. Their "healthy" salads" have more calories and fat than a double cheeseburger, and the yogurt cups and shakes have enough sugar in them to equal several candy bars. For example, the strawberry shake (which incidentally has a long list of chemicals to produce the strawberry flavor because it has no REAL berries in it) has a whopping 115 grams of SUGAR! The regular sized Snickers bar has 20 grams - so you do the math. When I was growing up, fast-food restaurants were an occasional treat. We had meals prepared at home from scratch from real foods and ingredients that you could pronounce. Even though I say that I occasionally pick up fast food, I am inclined to avoid the huge chains anymore. The employees are vastly underpaid, the food is truly below average, and in the end, not worth the calories and the ever increasing prices. Face it - fast food isn't necessarily cheap food... or good food for that matter. Therefore, I have dropped the rating to one star NOT BECAUSE OF THE SERVICE OR EMPLOYEES - they are outstanding! Always service with a smile and a friendly hello. However, I can't justify rating any higher when the food I buy and consume is so full of chemicals (and a good helping of bacteria as well) that I fear for my personal health. As someone who was, last year, hospitalized for 3 days for an infection of C-Diff (Clostridium Dificile - a feces-borne infection in the intestines), I am ever so much more careful about where I eat and what things I touch in public. I have no idea where I contracted the infection, but it was a grueling experience that took 14 days of a very expensive antibiotic to clear the infection. When I go to the grocery store, I now wipe the cart down thoroughly with those antibacterial wipes offered at the door. I wash my hands continuously throughout the day when I have been to public places. Fast food restaurants, in general, need to take stock in what they are serving and the steps taken to make our food safer. McDonald's seems to be one of the...
Read moreIt's very unfortunate that this McDonalds is affected by a very rude lady. I dont know her name but she is an older lady with curly light brown/blondish hair. I have had issues with her on multiple occasions. She deliberatly ignored me when I stood at the counter nearly 10 minutes then she rudely asks why cant I just place my order at the kiosk. When I asked why cant I place my order at the counter she rudely says because we are short staffed. She should of asked me to place the order sooner and not ignore me for 10 minutes. On another occasion she forgot to put the mild sauces for my breakfast burritos. When I asked her for them she was very annoyed and rudely asked are you sure they aren't in the bag. Obviosuly I wouldnt be asking for them if they were, then she proceeds to give me one sauce when I had two burritos. I asked for another one and she became even more annoyed. She never apologized on any of these occasions. Obviosuly customer service is not a standard in this location. It's a shame and I feel sorry for the employees who have to work under her because you can just tell she is a bitter,...
Read moreWent to McDonalds in Kendall FL where I was completely disrespected by your manager Sherrita. I was in drive thru and ordered 1 double fish filet meal and 2 medium fries. The lady at the first window was confused so we had a convo about it being 3 fries total. Once I get to the 2nd window they handed me 2 fries. So I said kindly to Sherrita that its supposed to be 3 fries she asked the lady in the back and came back and stated she only charged you for 2 fries. So I sad Okay... can you ring up the other fries? Instead she decided to respond aggressively by yelling YOU DONT HAVE TO ROLL YOUR KNECK I AINT THE ONE THAT MESSED UP YOUR ORDER!! THEN SLAMMED THE GLASS AND PROCEEDED TO THE BACK AFTER I ASKED FOR HER MANAGER AND SHE CONFIRMED SHE WAS THE MANAGER. Another manager came to the window tossed me my fries and said not worry about it. I went inside so I would not hold up the drive thru only to me made to feel like I'm being unreasonable. Sherrita does not belong in management or customer service. I...
