From the very moment we walked in, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality that deserves the highest praise. The decision to celebrate my birthday at Mezzaluna turned out to be a masterstroke. Each dish we savored was an exquisite fusion of tradition and innovation, leaving an indelible mark on our palates. The harmonious blend of flavors and the impeccable presentation spoke volumes about the culinary expertise at Mezzaluna. But it’s not just about the food; it’s about the entire experience. Mezzaluna has crafted an ambiance that makes you feel like you’re transported to a different world. The attentive staff, including Fabian, who set the stage for our remarkable evening, ensured that every need was met, every expectation exceeded. Mezzaluna is a must-visit destination. We eagerly anticipate our return and extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire team for crafting such a remarkable culinary adventure specially to Fabian. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience.

Very classy and nice establishment. Getting tired of ownership groups who own many restaurants in the squares who are just there to make money and serve sub par food. Mezza luna was a perfect evening out for my wife and I. What I liked most was the they actually had white table cloths. So many places skimp on this and have white paper. This touch of class did not go unnoticed. Our server was cool calm and collected. Wasn't there to try and upsell you all night or stay longer than you want. He did his job and made sure we had what we needed at all times. The food was fantastic. From the bread and butter to the desert and entrees everything was perfect. We went 45 min before closing on a Thursday and the place was very full. The opitomy of if you build it they will come. I love seeing these kinds of places succeed. Kudos to the managment/ownership team. Would love to see more restaurants in the area from this ownership group.

Mezza Luna is a not so hidden gem but fantastic and authentic Italian restaurant. Our server Linda was very informative and patient, as it was our first time dining. We first had the appetizer sampler which consisted of Eggplant Parmesan, Coconut Shrimp, Calamari, Stuffed Clams and Stuffed Mushrooms. Every appetizer on the sampler is exquisite but our favorites would have to be Coconut Shrimp and Calamari hands down. We then proceeded to have the Special Entrees and had the Trio Sampler. We had Lasagna, Eggplant Parm, Chicken Parm and Fettuccini Alfredo. The portions here are generous and the cost is very fair. We were really happy and pleased with the ambiance, service, value and food. Highly recommended!

Greeted and seated by a wonderfully polite but professional hostess. Opened the menu cover to find a tablet device: pretty neat. Then the waiter came and rapid-fire spouted: “How are we today? Do we know what we want to drink? Give me your water glass.” All this as he reached directly across and under my face (so close in fact that I had to lean back slightly and choked on an overwhelming wave of his cologne) to fill my water glass. I gleaned that the directive to hand over the glass was directed at my husband, whose cup was just out of reach.

In an effort to lighten the situation, my husband attempted a joke: “The menu’s blank,” he gasped. The waiter, with a stern facade, tapped and swiped at the device to bring up the menu. Then the barrage began again in a harsh tenor: “How are we doing today? Are you ready to order beverages? Give me that water glass.” And he stood, sour expression, with his hand extended as my husband and I gaped at one another.

My husband always refuses water at restaurants (as most servers will politely inquire as to whether it is wanted) because he doesn’t drink it and it ends up sweating all over the table or napkins. But this kid didn’t give him a chance to say ‘no thank you,’ he just kept spouting the same three lines so quickly that they were all out before we could begin to answer the first, then starting over.

Finally my husband said “Right, the water glass! Yes, you can take it.” The kid filled the water glass, set it none too gently atop the table, stared my husband down and repeated: “are we good? are we good? Sir, are we good?”

His whole demeanor was rude and aggressive, as if he were trying to intimidate us. My husband finally replied “no,” and the kid blurted, “I’ll be back,” and left like nothing was wrong.

There was no way I was going to sit through a meal being bullied by that guy, so we got up to leave. To the hostess’ credit, she asked about the issue and offered to seat us in another section with a different waiter. But I‘d lost my appetite and actually felt quite nervous, so we left after my husband told her that employee needed to go. And it’s true: as long as I know he’s there, I’ll...

Absolutely horrible. The place was total trash. no wonder it was empty.

We were sat quickly to a clean restaurant.

Our server struggled to listen to our questions before answering incorrectly. We were offered smaller menu, as it was Sunday. We were told that our options were only the things available on the abbreviated menu. We had two guests in our party that were vegetarian and as such the abbreviated menu only had a single dish that was vegetarian. We attempted to leave and the server told us we could use the complete menu. She insisted that she get our drinks. We explained that we would like to take a moment to make sure we would be staying before ordering drinks, but she still insisted we order our drinks right then, as such, we all ordered water. When she left, half of our party wanted to leave. We stayed.

The server came back and took half of our order and walked off, literally mid-sentence. She came back with half our food (the half we were able to order) and was shocked to find out that the other side of the table wanted food.

The app, Crab Bites were ice cold in the middle. My dates Caesar Salad came dry, not a single drop of Caesar dressing. We again discussed leaving. We stayed.

Eventually, our party got their food. It was also ice cold. My Spaghetti and meatballs were the worst I have ever tasted. No joke, it was similar to Chef Boyardee in a can. I am not kidding. Except Chef Boyardee might be better.

The waitress came and asked how our food was and if we wanted boxes, as almost none of the food was eaten. We explained that the food was absolutely trash and we didn't want to eat it now or at home.

She comped two meals, which wasn't necessary as this establishment couldn't pay me to eat there, it was really that bad.

The restaurant was clean. The bathrooms were clean. The staff was friendly, but after my complaints, I would have thought I would have seen the manager.

Save yourself. ...

Sorry this is going to be long but extremely honest review as you just can’t make this stuff up.

Went to dinner last night at Mezza Luna in the Colony shopping center. Five of us - early dinner, 530pm and nary a soul in the restaurant. Waiter, Dani Rodriguez, took our drink order came back with the drinks, turned his back to our table to take a drink order from another couple who had just been seated. Waited ten minutes for his return to take our dinner order. NEVER asked if we wanted appetizers or discussed any specials. Mind you the bar was busier than the restaurant. The couple who had their drink orders taken after just arriving got their food before we did.

We got our food 15 minutes later. Everyone’s dish was fine but mine. I ordered Veal Piccata and what was presented to me you wouldn’t have given it to a dog. The veal was browned and curled up in the ends and the knife couldn’t cut through it. Asked staffer to get our waiter so I could send it back. I was so disgusted by this even being brought out... I wanted it out of my sight.

Our waiter came back handed him my plate and and explained what was wrong with it. He asked if I wanted anything else and I declined. I didn’t want to wait another 20 minutes when everyone at the table was eating. Dani NEVER apologized... nothing!!!

I was so upset I asked for the manager. And who appears before us... Dani. I asked if he saw any problem with the dish he served me and he replied no. He did say ,”He doesn’t taste the food coming out of the kitchen.” I didn’t want him tasting it .... he should have SEEN IT. It was awful. Again no apology and he walked off.

Only time we got an apology was when he handed us our bill and stated sorry for the inconvenience. What a joke.

A restaurant can have a off night and we try places twice when things like this occur. With attitudes like this... from “Management” never again we...
