I was just at this location. I must admit, I have NEVER seen a crew more lethargic and lacking in common sense than this crew. My son and I stood in line for 30 minutes with NOTHING to show for it. Why? Because the crew there had no common sense or sense of urgency at all. I arrived to a line of 2 people ahead of me. They filled 1 persons order. then filled an extensive online order. After 10 minutes the line began to move, by 1 person. Then ANOTHER MASSIVE online order was to be filled with a line now stretching half way to the door! After another 10 minutes they asked my son and for our order. Time now: 20 minutes with 2 people ahead. Okay, so a slow night? Nah..there's more! Now the guy still working on the online order shouts that he made a mistake and has to start over. He then asks the girl at the beginning to "throw on a new..something or other." I asked if we could please have our order that has now been waiting an additional 10 minutes to be completed so I can leave. The guy doing toppings grunted at me..not a word said. I then said, "Is that a no?" He told me I would have to wait till he could get his act together for the online order first! I ordered 2 burritos for crying out loud. I then proceeded to the end of the line at the cashier. She asked if I had an item I did not order. I said can you please ask if they can complete my 2 burritos so I can leave? The answer: "Sorry sir, we have to fill online orders first." I left without comment. Your employees just told a customer waiting 30 minutes for 2 burritos and a line almost to the door that they were NOT a priority. That online orders, the people who didn't bother to show up to order were more important than anyone standing in that line. AMAZING. I don't think ANY other restaurant would fill orders in front of the customers waiting while their food, uncompleted, is getting ice cold as the rest of the staff stumbles forward in slow motion. The irony is there was another employee, that was playing with side order cups for 30 minutes, that could have prevented all of this. I think he was the night supervisor. So, in the end, you lost product and a paying customer who now will spread the news like wildfire that Moes on 54 is a...
Read moreUnfortunately I've eaten here 2 times and 1 star is a reach. Each time was worse then the last. The staff each time has been the same two young girls, and a guy. we were the only ones there they said welcome to Moe's, and took an unreasonable time to wait to see who was going to help us first... I Ordered 3 steak tacos, they put 3 pieces of meat on the shell. I asked for more and the little girl with bright red blood colored hair got annoyed made a face and scooped more and through it on without letting the "juice" drain. I asked for sour cream and she looked at me like it was an inconvenience and slopped it on. The beans were crusted from sitting so long and the the chicken was dry and the steak was cut like tinny cubes like it came out of a can. You can tell they dont do much business as to the freshness of the food, every visit being the same. The bill was over $55 for 6 tacos and a burrito, queso and it was disgusting and poorly portioned. If you can find a clean take to sit, ever time I've been there the AC is below freezing, the dip and food is cold by the time your ready to eat it.They should shut this palace down or sell it to someone who cares and can turn it around. I'll drive to Clearwater or Palm harbor next time. Better yet I recommend just go to Tajuna Flats down the road. Tajuna is fresh and the tacos are bigger, the staff is happy to be there and willing to help. Reading the reviews here now I'm not surprised. I can tell corporate didn't manage there reviews so I'll be reaching out to them next....
Read moreI have been to this Moe’s Southwest Grill location twice. Once to try the bbq burrito which had great flavor, but lacked quantity of each ingredient compared to the traditional Moe’s burrito, assuming you don’t add every single ingredient. Tonight was my second visit, I ordered the food via Uber Eats, and it arrived on time, with swift contactless delivery. I ordered two bowls with chips and salsa. Upon opening my bowls, the first bowl with seasoned rice, pinto beans, white meat chicken, corn pick, guac, cheese, and sour cream. This bowl was quite tasty, packed with the traditional Moe’s flavor. The second bowl (pictured below) has lime cilantro rice, black beans, adobo chicken, cilantro, guac, and pico. As you can see, there is a sever lack of ingredients for a burrito bowl. The rice lacked flavor and the beans were slightly hard, all in all is was a below average meal at Moe’s. All in all, the chips were stuck together, and the salsa was thick and chunky. Nothing like their go-to red...
