Always great food and service from Mr. Empanada! They have the most filling of any place I've been to and every flavor is delicious. The Italian sausage and cheese is probably my favorite of the empanadas, the Cuban sandwich is pretty good, and I love their Italian Chef Salad.
Update updating my review because I just can't give this location 5 stars anymore. The food is excellent, my favorite empanadas by far, but I'm tired of having my mind set on their delicious food only to get there during their posted open hours to find they are closed. It doesn't even help to call because it just goes to voice-mail. If you're open till, 4, 5, 7, whatever time, then be there till then. Some people can't come earlier than that and plan their day expecting that you'll be open until your posted close time for that day. It has happened countless times at this point and not just recently, for several years. I only keep going back because the food is so good. Service is just...
Read moreThis place is a mess. They never answer the phone. Today was just a microcosm of their disfunction. 3 employees "working" - but the girl was the only one doing any work. There are 12 people currently in the store. In the last 10 minutes, they have dropped ZERO food into the friar. One guy made one sandwich. The girl (who dropped 4 empanadas about 15 minutes ago) has been left alone to take all orders and find ice for patrons as the machine is down. I honestly don't care if people get stoned at work, IF they can still function. These 2 guys can't function. The shorter one literally wandered around lost for 5 minutes looking in the same 4 places for ticket paper. Now he's staring wide eyed at a list of tickets that has accumulated while I wrote this review. They STILL haven't dropped any empanadas into the friar. Unreal. Now, at the end, the girl (the only one working) has left the front to find my food. Good luck making money with...
Read moreLimited seating or standing space as you’re waiting for your order. I went to pour myself a cup of lemonade (they were out) and there was sugar mold in the fountain dispenser that came out in my cup. I took a napkin and tried to clean all the mold out. I then decided to get root beer instead and the same sugar mold started falling in my cup. Hopefully it all came out before I decided to fill my cup all the way up. I was already concerned by seeing this, but even more so cause it’s hard to see with a dark drink.
You’re fountain machine nozzles need to be taken out and cleaned regularly!
The kitchen is also open for anyone to see, you see the staff grabbing all the food with no gloves on. Dropping them in the fryers and placing into bags still no gloves....
