I don't know why but when I see Italian I expect spicy italian sausage or at least an option for it if the only thing offered is sweet sausage it did have flavor though I'll give it that.
This was a delivery order. The birrata? I want to come in and try had I only ordered it this would have been 3 stars. I bet this dish is amazing in store. I ask the owners to please change protocol on packaging for take out and delivery to preserve the dish to be constructed at home. But even though everything was soggy and leaking around the take out container it was so good I am making that plea while admitting I really want to try it in house! And would even order again as it was!
Unfortunately. The I am still taking into account the way it's prepped for outside orders and the pizza was just plain awful, fake a lie a massive transgression and insult.
I got a chicago and Sicilian both 1 size only and delivered in a box twice it's size(first picture) that will not fit comfortably in any side by side fridge.
2nd picture birrata love it but imagine amazing had not bread and m. Ball sat in sauce for length of delivery. I was curious if there was anything else in it based on description that's a no and I was thankful for no surprises but couldn't find a cross section picture so here you go.
Picture 3. Thr siciliana topped as the assisi... not bad... I blame America more than I do this restaurant as Americans are scared of anchovies and research so finding anchovies on their pizza would be a breaker but I would have loved then on this. Would have preferred again spicy rather than sweet sausage. I am a big fan of shaved sausage on pizza if you aren't you'll hate it but you probably hate everything. Bacon is the star of the Assisi. Make of that what you will. End result not worth the premium price despite the bread being fantastic it's missing the Sicilian flair.
Last 2 pictures...... is this a bloody joke or are you ripping me off!? I'm giving the 9wner to the count of 10 to refund me in some way of this terrible joke. This is chicago pizza!? No pizza place in Chicago would even Pretend to send this out calling it new York pizza as a joke as they have more self respect than that! And at $14 premium add on the stars can't go low enough!
This "chicago style" pizza was supposed to be the signature "Muzzarella pie" with a couple of add-ons. Sadly not of the signature/specialty ingredients are anywhere to be found only the the add ons on what is a pathetic excuse of a hand tossed pie falsely advertised and uphold at a premium as something is clearly is not.
Website needs a better design, but mostly fine, ordering delivery is actually one of the best I've seen showing ranges including delivery charge setting expectations I really really appreciate! I loved that actually!
Tracking like chains would be nice but I value employee privacy and safety more so was fine without it. Driver was friendly and great and can't even think of anything to pretend he could have done wrong. I give him 5 stars. Would like a disclosure on what how the delivery fee is credited to the store, and really wish the government would step in on this. Having worked and run stores in pizza I know enough to assume it's not a tip but if a store was respectable it would 100% go to the driver and not false claim it's to subsidize In house staff being missed. I normally don't rage at this but delivery fees usually don't account for 2 and more hours of an employees on the roads hourly!!! wage earned from the store.
$90 for 2 trash pizzas and a quite nice soggy(yet delicious and again really want to try fresh in house) fried mozzarella ball....
At the end I suggest looking at me little caesars reviews as I'd despite that nightmare I'd go there over this place again.
Edit: I've added a star as the owner did reach out to me. Via voicemail and text in a very reasonable time. I was past it by then. I didn't want a refund or a free future order. And so I am in no way offering a review of that contact but am adding a star...
Read moreI've been a resident of the Rio Pinar area for almost 40 years, and in that time, I've seen great restaurants come and go. As far as Italian kitchens, most of the folks who grew up here remember Amalfi's with great fondness. Unfortunately, after they closed, we were left with a bit of a void for truly excellent Italian. We can want no longer, residents of East Orlando. Muzzarella has come and officially replaced those memories of perfect pastas with what I truly believe is the best Italian kitchen we've ever had in the area.
We've been multiple times now, and each time, everything has been nothing short of exquisite. I'm a guy who will try something, love it instantly, and then never expand past those horizons because I want to keep chasing that flavor. At Muzzarella, they do everything so well, I actually get to jump around the menu. I have yet to be disappointed.
I travel, a lot. A LOT. And when I'm on the road, I eat. A LOT. So, it's easy for me to compare my experiences around the world with the options made available within blocks of home, and I can say with that history under my belt, that Muzzarella (yes, our quaint pizza kitchen on Lake Underhill across from Advent East) has the BEST carbonara I have ever had. And I have had it all over the place. It is outstanding. The sauce, that tang from the egg, the pancetta, even the peas.... unrivaled in quality in any other form that I've ever tasted. It is the dish I would drive back for every single day.
Tonight we went, and I diversified my selection with the Muzzarella combo, a grand portion of lasagna, chicken parm, and a stuffed shell, draped in sauce and cheese and I cannot think of a better word to describe it than: decadent. Honestly, that chicken parm hit every single note my taste buds were searching for. I was so impressed with this dish. My vegetarian wife even sang the praises of the eggplant parm she ordered, saying that it might be one of the best she's ever had, and that is saying something as it tends to be her dish du jour at any Italian restaurant we go to.
The room is small and comfortable, but large enough to fit our party of 12. The staff is attentive and friendly from the moment you walk in the door, quick to greet you and ensure you are properly seated or served. The lighting is cozy, it may seem like an odd and obscure thing to notice, but when you are absorbing the atmosphere of your surroundings, it is definitely something I pick up on. The multiple big screens have been tuned to ESPN, which I enjoy but do not find distracting, and the soundtrack played at just the right volume over the in-house speakers gets two thumbs up from me. Nothing like devouring some of the best food in Orlando while also jamming to A-ha's "Take on Me."
Finally, it is worth noting that every time we've sat down for a meal here, we've had the absolute pleasure to have Aaron as our server. Sorry every server I've ever said this to in the past: He is the best server we've EVER had, EVER. Extremely personable, knowledgable, kind, quick, offers great suggestions, will make your every request a reality, and never makes me wait on a refill. If the food is 50% of the reason for me to return, Aaron easily makes up the other 50%. Muzzarella has a great one, and I can just watch him at other tables knowing that this is a craft he has honed to perfection, and take heart in the fact that we will always look forward to seeing him when we walk through that door for as long as we can.
They say nothing lasts forever, and in my experience, that is sadly true, but I will hold on to Muzzarella and everything they have to offer until one of us gives it up. If I keep eating here though, especially that unbelievably rich carbonara, my money is on them outlasting me. In all seriousness, if you made it this far: TLDR; Muzzarella is a worthy successor to the great Italian kitchens of Orlando's past, and you will either love it (and I certainly hope you do) or you will lie about it just to be a...
Read moreI've been here many times for lunch and dinner and never had an issue. Food is always great. Today I ordered the lunch special which is 2 slices and a soda and so did my husband. We ordered the special and a buffalo. When they came out we got a veggie pizza instead of the special. We asked the server if it was correct and she said yes. The pepperoni is usually underneath but there was no pepperoni or sausage and there was tomato all over it. I asked for the menu to check to make sure that I ordered the correct slice and there was not supposed to be tomato or spinach. So she sent it back and showed the lady in the kitchen what, the ingredients were on the menu. My husbands slices come out with the right ingredients but looked like it had been reheated and cheese was dried up. Mine came out and looked completely different than his. It was the veggie slice from before and they added pepperoni and sausage all over the top tp cover it up. Returned it again. Finally got a pizza with the right ingredients but it was also a slice of pepperoni and they added toppings to it and a bit of cheese and reheated. The server apologized many times but no one from management ever came out to address our concerns or apologize. We were not compensated in any way and paid full price for the sub par meal. Very dissapointed. Also asked for ranch for my buffalo slice and was told they did not have ranch. I'm very surprised since they sell salads and wings...
