02 AUGUST 2024 I just wanted to update my review to specifically highlight the exceptional customer service provided by Laura. Every time I visit Mecatos Lake Underhill, she goes above and beyond to ensure a great experience. Thank you, Laura, for consistently making my visits so pleasant!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Mecatos Bakery and Cafe, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the warm and inviting ambiance of the place. Mecatos truly embodies the essence of Colombian culture, offering a wide range of excellent typical products that left me craving for more.

One of the standout features of Mecatos is their exceptional Colombian coffee. As a coffee lover, I am always on the lookout for the perfect cup, and Mecatos definitely delivers. The aroma and flavor of their Colombian coffee were simply outstanding. It was rich, smooth, and had a delightful depth of flavor that instantly transported me to the coffee plantations of Colombia. I highly recommend trying their coffee; it's an experience that shouldn't be missed.

In addition to their coffee, Mecatos also serves up delicious Colombian burgers and hotdogs. I was pleasantly surprised by the authenticity and quality of these dishes. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and topped with traditional Colombian ingredients that added a unique twist. The hotdogs were equally mouthwatering, with a variety of toppings and condiments that truly made them stand out. It was a true delight to savor these Colombian specialties at Mecatos.

What truly sets Mecatos apart is their exceptional customer service. Every staff member, especially Maria, went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant and memorable dining experience. Maria's warm and friendly demeanor made me feel right at home, and she was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu offerings. Her attentiveness to detail and genuine care for customer satisfaction were truly commendable.

Another aspect worth mentioning is the exceptional service hours at Mecatos. Whether you're an early riser in need of a hearty breakfast or a late-night snack enthusiast, Mecatos has you covered. Their extended service hours allow customers to satisfy their cravings at any time of the day, making it a go-to spot for both convenience and quality.

I need to do an update!!! Back on 13NOV18 I’ve rated with 3 stars the mecatos’s customer service because the below comment(a situation happened to my wife).However, beyond my expectations, they made a coaching with their employees on that specific matter , and I can tell you guys ... if you want a great Colombian cafeteria snack food, this is the place !!! And with the little adjustments on customer service, they get back to the wonderful world of the customer first !!! Thank you !! Now you have a second great fan (again) on my wife !!! Ha ha saludos

I’m Mecato’s number 1 fan!!! I love that place , the food and the service; however, today Thursday 13NOV2018, my wife went early in the morning to get a coffee latte in the express machine and scramble eggs with everything but onions, and what she got was a plain scramble eggs, just eggs without any other additional, so she asked again about her eggs with everything but onions , and she got back, for the second time, scramble eggs with just some pieces of tomato; so she just approach to the ladies In the front and put back the eggs she didn’t requested, pay for the food and drink, and left the cafeteria in a really bad mood because she didn’t get what she was asking for.

Had to come to a nearby car shop for an oil change one morning, and we wanted a nice breakfast that was preferably a walk away. When searching, we found Mecatos! It looked like one of those classic Hispanic bakeries that offer grab-n-go pastries along with hot sandwiches and breakfast plates made to order.

We walked over, got in line, and started marveling over all of the options. We ended up getting seven items out of the display case. I don't remember what all we got, but I remember that they were almost as good as the ones down in Miami. Delicious!

Everything guava y queso was delicious, the bill potato ball was delicious, but you'll need a dipping sauce, the Nutella bun was severely lacking Nutella, don't get that one if you have an insatiable sweet tooth, and the tequenos were yummy yummy, my favorite part. Nothing was too greasy, everything was the right temperature, and I'll probably get double the amount of stuff next time.

I also got a hot sandwich, a chorizo, egg, and cheese arepa. My goodness. They stuff this thing to the brim. Delicious chorizo, well-cooked eggs, and more cheese than you can handle, just melty enough to glue it all together in that mega crispy arepa shell. One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had in Orlando. Get one of these.

I also got a fancy, sweet, mocha, iced coffee, and it was pretty standard. No complaints. It satisfied the need. Overall, this place was a very pleasant discovery, and I will probably be back over...

I am admittedly a fan of Mecatos. I frequently visit the one close to my home on the east side. This time I found myself accross the street at the hospital and desperately needed nourishment. Bonus!! Mecatos!! This Mecato is on Lake Underhill, snuggled among other businesses. This location has an outside seating area covered by a pergola. The inside is bigger than the location I usually frequent. To the left is a seating area, with about 5 tables. To the right is a large display area and ordering station. The large display housed a beautiful array of sweet pastries and savory goodies. Delicious looking guava cheesecake, tres leche cake, dulce de leche cake, strawberry shortcake, tiramisu and flan. Savory yummies, like empanadas of beef and chicken (these are delicous, ask for the spicy green sauce) and cheese, arepas choclo with cheese, arepas stuffed with meat, chicken and eggs. mayorca bread, pan de bono, bunuelos, pan de queso and Colombian sausage. They have plenty of coffee options, single or double espresso, capuccino, machiatto, colada, cortadito and hot tea, hot chocolate, iced tea, iced coffee, latte frappe, iced caramel lattes. On this visit I desperately needed coffee and a bunuelo and a chicken empanada. The service was prompt and courteous, she offered the combo, they have combos, drink and arepa but I needed to leave quickly. She handed me my freshly make chicken arepa, a bunuelo and a small black coffee. It was all sooo very good. Mecatos never...
