Everything about this experience was horrible. From the minute we got in there until the minute we left. First off, the hostess greeting us (bleach blonde wearing pink) was super unenthusiastic and cold, made us seem like we were a burden for making her seat us. Our waitress, although friendly and nice, was super inexperienced and left us hanging for 10 plus minutes numerous times throughout the night, despite the restaurant being at less than 50 percent capacity..
Most importantly the food for the 7 of us was mediocre for some at best, and absolutely inedible for others. The apps were edible but certainly not worth the price. We got the mixed charcuterie board and it was like a hodge podge of random meats, cheeses and fruits that had no cohesion and didn’t work together. The seasoned bread was the only app that was actually decent, but not sure they even make it in house.
The main courses were completely underwhelming. My mom had the ravioli which she said was ok. My dad had the poke bowl which he said was edible but very bland and slightly fishy. My brother and I had the gnocchi, which was ok, but the Gorgonzola cheese sauce just doesn’t work that well with gnocchi and it was way too much sauce. I actually wanted to switch my sauce to a red sauce but my waitress convinced me otherwise. My nephew who is ten had a pizza and he said it was fine. And my sister in law had some sort of fish with steamed vegetables and she said it was ok.
All that said, my biggest issue was my girlfriend’s dish! She ordered the special which the waitress stood by. It was a Tagliolini pasta with clams, I forget the exact name. But it was absolutely horrendous. The whole dish was super bland, the noodles were super rubbery, the clams were way over cooked, there were raw uncooked tomatoes strewn about the pasta, and all of this inedible nonsense sat in a two inch pool of bland unsalted clam water. No respectable chef with any ounce of care or credibility would ever serve something so disgusting. This was easily one of the worst “fine” dining experiences of my life. I would’ve much rather eaten McDonalds or Burger King. What a waste of...
Read moreOverall an ok experience but wouldn’t return. Food was decent: the highlights were the ham and cheese empanadas and the Catalina pizza. The atmosphere was cute especially the outdoor area. The biggest opportunity they have in this place is the service. People were very kind but there were many service delays. We ordered a bottle of wine and appetizers. After finishing our appetizers, still no wine on the table. We ordered a pizza , after finishing the pizza still no bottle on the table. I had to get up twice to request service. Finally we ordered our mains and received the bottle. There were 4 of us on the table and only 3 of us received our food. We waited to eat so we can all eat together but no explanations were given to us. Upon inquiring about the food missing for the 3rd time, they tell us the kitchen made a mistake. The 4th person received their meal after we were about done eating and they had ordered a rare fillet mignon which came ice cold in the middle but which they still ate after such long wait. Additionally, I had mentioned on the reservation that we were celebrating my moms birthday which was never acknowledge nor did we get any candle or anything when ordering desserts. At the end after appetizers, mains, desserts and 2 bottles of wine, we ordered coffees which came out cold. There was a lady in a green blouse that checked in on us and we mentioned only the meat situation to which she apologized but that was it. She seemed very nice but there was nothing done to fix our bad experience. We still tipped 25% regardless of the bad service but figured I would share our experience here for anyone looking to visit. As a Uruguayan and first time coming here I would say go to check it out if you miss home and you want to eat something familiar but don’t have high...
