BEFORE YOU GO HERE READ MY REVIEW Ok 2 stars because food was good not bad, which it helped a lot.
First of all THIS IS NOT A NORKYS FROM THE PERUVIAN CHAIN. Itâs a peruvian restaurant/cantina that It was named the same way, no comparation.
I was there a monday around 4pm and the place only had 1 table busy then mainly pick ups. I guess it's because of the lack of hospitality, deplorable decoration & cleaning.
-Place has a distinctive smell, like old food and mold. Not welcoming nor makes you feel good
-chairs, tables, windows, floor were dirty and old, definitely not a place to take a date or someone special. (There were flies inside restaurant)
-Decoration was completely outaded, very OLD. It looks like an old peruvian cantina. Where there are tons of beer signs and even mirrors with beer signs. It's obvious that the owner feels depressed or has gave up with his restaurant. It just makes you feel you don't even want to walk in.
-Customer service, eh... I saw couple of customers felt uncomfortable with the way how the blonde server talked around them, the guy with the hat, he was a bit clumpsy and forgetful he might be new, if so it wouldnt be his fault. (Tip included even for 2 people)
-Although food was alright, not the best of bests, but good. I think customers will feel happier doing pick-ups than sitting there. I personally enjoyed the food. But was very disappointed and dissatisfied with the location. If they are not clean with the front of its restaurant that is visible for the customers imagine the back area where food is cooked. Would I...
Read moreMy family and I have been loyal customers of Norkys for the past 23 years. This place has always held a special place in our hearts, the seasoning, the flavors, the memories it brought us from back home in Peru. Thatâs the only reason weâve tolerated so much over the years. But enough is enough. The service has always been slow, and the food often takes forever. We put up with it because of the taste and out of loyalty. Thankfully, there was always Sofia, friendly, warm, and the one bright spot who kept that place bearable.A few months ago, I ordered a quarter chicken and it was undercooked. I complained immediately, but nothing was done. No apology. No replacement. No accountability. This is not how things should work, this is the United States, and customers deserve better. In any decent establishment, you fix the plate or take it off the bill. I wasnât asking for free food, just basic respect and proper service. Lately, Iâve been ordering takeout, and itâs been worse. The chicken portions are tiny, dry, burnt, almost unrecognizable. And shockingly, the owner is the one handing out these orders. If thatâs the standard sheâs setting, it explains a lot. After 23 years, Iâm sad to say Iâll be taking my business across the street to Pollo Rocoto. Itâs clear Norkys has lost the care and pride...
Read moreThe food is really good but the service sucks. I order half of chicken and i order another half later so my daughter can eat later, and they charge me two halfs instead of a whole chicken because the system wont let them voided it out. I wouldnt mind but they are charging 5 dollars more for the same amount of food just because you didnt told them before hand? Thats so unfair. I ask them to voided it and they said only the owner can do it. I said okay. They told me to wait 5 to 8 min. After 15 mim the owner didnt come. I request to talk to her again and then they said she will take anotber 10 min. I just paid and left. I had other problems with then before like ordering over the phone and by the time i come to pick it up they gave it to someone else so i have to wait again for them to make it or sometimes they just didnt have no more. I used to let it go since i really like the food, but not anynore. I wont go there anynore and i will tell my friends and family about it. The food is good but be careful because they try to take the most money they can from you. Good luck!
La comida es Buena pero el servicio es malo. Van a tratar de q gastes lo mas q puedas. No iré mas, no...
