Jun 14th, Wednesday: From when you first walk in, you'll find yourself in a beautiful, classy atmosphere. The best thing is, people there are extremely pleasant and truly concerned with your dining experience. We sat at the bar and were taken care of by Madi, a terrific bartender. Always smiling and making sure our drinks and food were to our liking. The three of us ordered the four course special, with individual choices for each of us. The presentation and food temperatures were spot on. I ordered the Blackened Pork Chop medium, and it came out more on the well-done side. Madi immediately had the chef cook up a fresh one that was perfect, no hesitation whatsoever. This is our new go to resturant, great hours 7 days a week with everything one would want with a First Class Atmosphere. By the way, the prices are very reasonable as well. Friday Jun 16th: Well, we went back this Friday for dinner and did the $45 special but this time with different main courses. Oscar the manager took care of us personally and once again we were extremely satisfied with the service and the delicious food. 😋 Sunday Jun 18th: Tessa took excellent care of us today, while sitting at the bar. Once again we did the $45 Special, changing up everything except I ordered the Blackend Porkchop again. It's my go to favorite for sure. Because the portions are big, there's always leftovers to take home, and reheated it still tastes wonderful. We also were greeted by the General Manager, Andrais before we left, making sure we were happy with everything. So 3 visits in 6 days and all were 5 Stars 🌟

Came here for the first time in over a decade. Atmosphere is great and the restaurant was nice, a bit stuffy inside but the door was open and it’s summer. Service started out great but began to get worse as the dinner went on. At one point one of us asked a waiter if he knew the WiFi password and he said “uhh I’m not sure” and just walked away without any further help. Our waitress, while polite and always smiling, did start to get distracted as the dinner went on. I watched her play on her phone while we waited for our plates to be picked up. Also, toward the end of our dinner we clearly heard the waiters talking to each other a few tables over and were loudly cursing every other sentence. I thought this is supposed to be a high end diner? Thankfully we didn’t have any kids or elderly with us. I normally wouldn’t be nitpicky like this but when I’m paying over $50 per person, I expect excellent service. The food itself was good but the portions were a bit small, especially the tuna taco appetizer. I know it’s just an appetizer but 2 microscopically small tacos? For $23? Come on… probably won’t be back anytime soon.

Husband and I went for an early Valentine’s Day lunch today, it was our first time at the restaurant. Great decor with a classy and romantic vibe. Seated immediately, got to pick our seats which was nice. Enjoyed my French Kitten martini recommended by the waiter! Unfortunately they were out of the fish tacos I wanted so I went with the chicken tacos pictured here. Delicious! Husband had chicken parm and was very impressed with the sauce (has tried many so this was a compliment!) We also enjoyed the chocolate gelato for dessert :) Only downside was the tables are too close together, and we did have to wait a little bit between courses because it seemed they were a little understaffed. Our waiter was kind and attentive to detail though. However food was excellent quality for the price and we will return again for another special occasion!

I used to be regular here when I lived in Wellington but moved about 45 mins away a year ago. I was in the area and stopped by for lunch, excited to enjoy one of my favorite spots again. Boy, has it gone downhill...

I dined inside at about 3:30pm on Sunday. There were two larger parties in the back, one had a man who kept picking up and rough housing with a 10 year old boy as he was screaming at the top of his lungs. This went on my entire dining experience. The staff said nothing, did nothing nor apologized for the noise. The party themselves told the man multiple times to stop as it was rude but he must've been drunk.

I ordered the lamb appetizer and the food quality has gone severely downhill since I last visited. The lamb has no flavor so I compensated with an obscene amount of table salt. I ordered a side of truffle butter as I love truffle and there was no truffle taste whatsoever. I also ordered two glasses of wine which were fine.

The service was ok, no one at the host stand and I wasn't provided a drink menu when I sat down so had to ask for one when my server asked what I wanted to drink about 5 mins after being seated.

There were also some very disruptive people at the empty bar. A couple who were clearly on something other than alcohol loudly fighting and being a nuisance. Overall, the vibe was trashy and almost like a sports bar rather than the classy establishment I remember.

Overall, I was disappointed. I remember Oli's being a classy place to dine and was thinking about celebrating my Birthday there with friends and family in a month but not anymore. I could forgive the atmosphere for today if the food quality / flavor were still their standard but they're not.

I've ordered the lamb appetizer many times and have never been disappointed except for today.

All in all, I feel silly for trying to treat myself to a nice lunch and will be looking for other spots in the area if I ever return.

EDIT

After reading the response from the owner, I will say that my review stands and that the situation was handled improperly by management. I work in special needs care and entirely understand having to be creative when neurodivergent kids start to get restless. What management should have done is informed patrons dining in that room that the party there would be loud and possibly disruptive to what is the expected dining experience. Not just ignore what is happening and expect all patrons to be okay with that noise level and rowdiness. Offer to seat us outside or in another area, anything else. Also, this does not address the couple arguing at the bar that management did nothing about so it seems like lazy management not wanting to upset anyone paying to be there and not caring about...

I very rarely write a negative review but when ownership/management is rude to its paying customers , I believe it is worth while to let others know our experience so they can judge for themselves. My wife and I went to Oli's for dinner late on a Friday night. The restaurant was busy, loud and packed as expected. The food was good, the waiter was good, knowledgeable and responsive. The waiter asked what type of water we wanted and we told him regular tap. He brought a bottle of water. At the same time he brought the water another couple who we knew was walking past out table and stopped to talk. We were not watching the waiter, he opened the bottle and poured water into our glasses. At the end of dinner the bill included a $9 charge for bottled water. I asked the waiter about this charge and he realized there had been a misunderstanding (the waiter's) that we wanted regular tap not flat, he thought we said flat. He was very nice about it and said he could take it off the bill. A minute later I saw him talking to the owner and looking at us while discussing this. The owner cam over to us with a new bill and admonished us saying that when ever someone brings a bottle of water to the table there will always be a charge and I should have sent the water back. He made that point twice and then when I said that I would pay for the water he walked away saying something to the effect that this is how he makes his profit. He did not realize that his staff opened the water and poured while we we were talking to the other couple. Both my wife and I felt very uncomfortable and embarrassed by his tone and message . Coming over personally to our table over a $9 charge and admonishing us seemed both petty and rude. On the way out my wife stopped him and gave him a ten dollar bill for the water, which he took without hesitation! In the end while this restaurant may have good food , the owner lost us as customers and our recommendation to anyone who might ask based on his behavior and poor judgement in dealing...

Stay away "in season" the wait staff is undertrained and spread far to thin to handle full capacity. Little things.. seated @ 6:05 missed happy hour by 5 minutes due to traffic, explained to waiter NO accommodation offered, no big deal, but silly way to treat a regular year round customer. Ordered Calamari for table placed immediately.. arrived a soggy mass pre-soaked and coated with a spicy red sauce with soggy soft mushrooms on top. Who in their right mind places sauteed mushrooms on top of a crispy fried dish (menu description - "crispy calamari ??). "truth in menu." NEXT Ordered PANKO COATED gouper or snapper, not sure which. Explained to waiter the dish WOULD BE SHARED with the lady seated next to me. 99.9% of restraurants in the area, at this price point, divide the order in the kitchen. The "Crispy Panko Coated fish" arrived not crispy, not panko coated (truth in menus) it was an egg wash coated with regular, bread crumbs, soggy, served on top of steaming mashed potatoes which made the coating fall off. Makes one wonder who is in the kitchen, they l normally have their act together? I said to the waiter "we're sharing the dish can you divide it? He said " I'll get you another plate" and proceeded to take the order from an adjacent table, ignoring several " excuse me's." After being unable to get his attention I got up from the table and requested a bus boy to bring a second plate, he returned with a small salad plate. By now the dish was cold quite ineatable when the waiter returned we asked for the manager who gave us credit. The other dish a meat sauce papadellie was outstanding as was the meal I picked up at Pei Wai next door after forgoing dinner by which was delivered exactly as...
