Summary: Paid extra $ for all drummets, instead got wings with the drummets so paid extra for nothing. Both wings and fries overcooked. Found sticker cooked with the chicken.
Full review: I usually LOVE Hooters, I'm not sure if it's because of this location so I'll have to return to one in Miami and see if it's better. We ordered all drumsticks to-go, and they didn't give us all drumsticks, I keep finding wings and this was something I needed to pay extra for... and it's unfortunate because it seems like most drummets are tiny and the wings are the ones with more meat so I'm not sure what has happened to the chicken they source.
Normally the chicken's breading is so fluffy and I remember the chicken being so big! But now, these seem so small and on top of that they are overcooked.. it's not the Hooters I remember anymore. The taste thankfully is the same at least with 3 mile island like I ordered, it was just overcooked so that's why it didn't actually taste all that great :( and that's especially unfortunate since the bill came out to nearly $90 for 50 overcooked "all drumsticks" (which again isn't what we got but still paid extra for, and the extra disappointment comes from the wings that were included being the ones with actual meat on the bone)
I also ordered curly fries, and they were overcooked so none of them were bouncy or soft. I'm hoping that it's because of this specific location and not something that has happened to all Hooters locations, because I've always loved it and gotten the same exact thing every time I've eaten there. How times have changed.
$85+ for this experience is not worth it. I remember when it was $50 and amazing. I was willing to pay more for getting all drumsticks and order as I usually have because I have my cravings for it now and again. But... Inflation, plus I guess the overcooking and maybe changes made to how they source the food itself, makes the price point now just ridiculous!
I'm not ordering from this location again, I will have to drive a long time to get to the nearest Hooters but this was just.. so disappointing :(
Edit: (See photos) also I found this sticker on one of them.. is this from their chicken source packaging? Do they get individual stickers? Was it cooked and breaded with the sticker still on it? 🤨 Probably overall the least pleasant experience I've had with Hooters in...
Read moreFirst time visiting this particular South Florida Hooters location since April. I'm in the hospitality industry myself for many years and greatly enjoy the opportunity to spend a valued weekend day off to enjoy college or NFL football. It's been a rough go of it this path month. Among millions of other Floridians I was impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. My job was affected on the barrier islands near St Pete and I was out of work for most of October.
I had the very best experience today at the Port Charlotte Hooters. I'm also an employee at Raymond James Stadium. I used to work there during the South Florida Bulls football games. I was very pleased that Hooters already had the game on against Navy near my booth where I was sitting.
I've got to be honest I had one of the very best Hooters girls I've had in a long time. Destinee was absolutely incredible. She waits on table with such joyful energy. Her interactions with other tables including my own appeared genuine and thoughtful.
I do recall meeting her at a Calender signing pre-Covid at the Hooters of Westin. She remembered as well. I'm so excited to see her back and employed at this location because it's considerably closer to where I live. It's important to me to have consistent high quality service. With the level of inflation and the cost of things you want the best for what you pay for. When I return to this location I'm definitely going to request to sit with her. She's the type of server with a considerable amount of regulars. She's a tremendous brand ambassador and I hope has the opportunity next year to represent South Florida Hooters at the International Pageant and Calendar. Being a life long patron of Hooters I recognize a quality employee and experience.
Thank you Michael J...

"Hello sir, I hope you'll find the United States to be a hospitable and lovely place to be. I pray that you have been treated the same as everybody else. I believe that, despite what the media likes to say, most Americans understand that the actions of governments and rulers do not necessarily define the personality, beliefs, and desires of the people. Our government may have done some things your government disliked and vice versa, but not everything is politics. When it comes down to it, we are all people. We all share the same DNA, the same hopes, the same dreams, the same struggle, the same faults. Our ethnic background does not determine the integrity of our character, only we are responsible for deciding who we are and what we do. It is unfair that there is such a distrust of people of your faith by some people in this nation. Maybe one day the scars of this rift will fade away, unable to endure the effects of time. But for right now, I don't want to think about it. I would like to share a drink and have a conversation with you, man to man, without the distractions and lies of society and culture. So, let's start again. How has your day been?" Then a bomb went off and damaged every building in a 2...
